Such a happy place for us non-handy people. I have visited this location on numerous occasions with questions samples of ants that were invading my apt without paying rent(yes, a sample. This way they know what we are dealing with) and a rowdy puppy. They have always been super helpful and solved my problems. Well, with exception of the pup. ;-) They did give him a free dog bone. This location, has just about anything you would need for home repair, plumbing etc… They even have holiday decorations a plenty.

Ace all around. Ace service especially! For all things lightbulbs and tools, I need lots of help and the staff here never seems frustrated with my endless questions. The store is big and also has some fun odds and ends to decorate your yard — gnomes, anyone? Prices are reasonable, store is easy to get in and out of on Brookside, and really — just ace all around!

Just moved to Brookside and whenever you change billing addresses online, you have an option for coupons around your new location. well they sent me a «welcome to the neighborhood» package! $ 10 off coupon and so on… I refurbish furniture and I do a LOT of woodworking. ACE Always has what I need! They have such a great selection… and not to mention their spray paint is CHEAP and it actually WORKS! Pricing is pretty cheap! Definitely recommend coming here for all your DIY projects or just remodeling your house or something!

Keys on keys on keys. I had a set of keys that needed to be duplicated 5 times. I drove to Ace at 41st and Peoria, and they just got it done! The staff were all very nice, they helped me right away, and the keys all work: not much more you can ask for! The store isn’t the newest or tidiest place in the world — I used the restroom while waiting for my keys to be copied and the men’s room had no door? Kind of bizarre — and it was in the warehouse part of the store. But most people aren’t trying to hang around in a hardware store — they want to get in and get out and Ace definitely lets you do that.

So it’s been gorgeous today, minus getting to 80 degrees and making it a little uncomfortable in the house, so John and I decided we would leave the house for a little bit and run to ACE. It is a few miles away from where we live so it’s easy to get to for us. We decided to get a pooper scooper for the backyard as well as some weed killer for those stupid sunburst, stabbing, thorns that sprout up all over our yard! When we walked into ACE we were immediately greeted, like always, and as we walked towards where we were headed(very determined, not appearing as though we had a question) and the two employees we were approaching stopped speaking with each other and asked if we needed anything(with a smile!). It was very nice. We found what we needed easily and went to check out. The cashier was pleasant, even though she was a little preoccupied with the male cashier across from her, she still was politely and basically paid attention to us. All in all I never regret going to ACE when we need stuff.

Still reviewing the neighborhood and today I needed a battery for a headlamp. Westlake Ace Hardware at 41st and Peoria is in a remodeled Homeland store, so when I go in it reminds me of when I used to grocery shop in this location. The store is well stocked and managed by friendly, helpful staff. I was able to find what I needed and get out in record time. It’s nice to have them in the neighborhood.
