Comfort Suites

My husband and I had a one night stay this past week. What a pleasant surprise! This Choice Hotel partner is deserving of a 5 star review! The room was clean, quiet, spacious with newer fluffy white towels (enough for 4), coffee maker, good sized fridge, good lighting and an excellent staff. We needed a corkscrew and the front desk person, Ashley, provided one! What a lovely experience for a budget priced hotel. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. We highly recommend the Comfort Suites in Tulare, CA!

It’s a home away from home whenever I’m in Tulare County. Great value. On my last stay my room was less than $ 70. I even did early check in and late check out with no hassles.

My group of girls and I got charged $ 70.00 a few days after we left Tulares – for a «missing green blanket» from our hotel room? We didn’t even use any blankets other than our own.
Be SURE to check what they’ve put into your room and if you see a plastic container missing a blanket inside, let them know ASAP. Otherwise, they’ll be sneaky and charge you behind your back days later for a «missing blanket.» Ridiculous.
Thought the workers and everyone was very sweet and nice but this is a turn-​off and it’s frustrating because there’s no way to prove we did not steal a blanket which wasn’t there in the first place.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was a wonderful experience! The place was clean and well decorated. They even upgraded our room for free. We loved the whirlpool tub! If I have a reason to come to Tulare again I’ll definitely stay at this hotel.

Will definitely stay here again. I travel up to Fresno and come down along Visalia, Porterville, Tulare, and Delano every 6 months. Very satisfied with service, rooms are very modern and plenty of parking. Free breakfast is always good. On my next trip up north I will stay here again every single time.

Nice clean room. We got 2 queen beds for 3 adults. Plenty of room to move around. Great walk in shower for my mom. Check in was fast and friendly.

It is over 15 years since I started to stay in this Quality Inn whenever I visited Tulare and I will stay in the future.
Due to my importing business, I have to visit many different countries. Among all of my stay, I can feel this hotel just like my second HOME.
Needless to say about cleanness and friendless, I believe, they know what hotel is supposed to be.
Especially, I came over again for a week without special purpose for calm resting. I hope you also find it while you stay. HS BAK

Home sweet home for many weeks while working in Corcoran. The staff was super friendly, respectful and flexible. My rate could not be beat anywhere nearby using choice privileges multi night discount. I wanted to move to a different town, but the quiet and comfort and quality of what I found here kept me in Tulare week after week.
The facility is certainly not brand new. But it is well kept. I enjoyed small touches of live plants around the place and the convenience of easy and good wifi. No elevator was a tad inconvenient upon arrival, but to make up for this I didn’t have to listen to the sound of an elevator operating all the time.
This is a great value for a business traveler. It would be a five star if brand new. I’d return without question.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Comfort Suites Tulare from May 24 – 26, 2014. I booked the reservation on
and was a little hesitant, not knowing quite what to expect because the rate was so low. I called on my way to the hotel to advise we would be arriving early and the lovely woman who answered the phone, Michelle, said there was a room ready for us and asked me my preferences. When we arrived, Michelle greeted us with the most wonderful smile and presence. We asked her suggestions for a good place for lunch and she gave us several great choices, as well as directions to Main Street in Visalia, which she recommended as a fun place to visit (we ended up having lunch there, and it was nice to walk the street and window shop). I saw Michelle again the next morning when I went to the front desk to let her know that the phone in our room wasn’t working and the water pressure in the shower made a very loud screeching noise. When we returned to our room in the afternoon, there was a voicemail from Michelle that she had replaced our phone as well as our shower head, and had tested both of them. Awesome! Later that evening we were greeted at the desk by Alex, a wonderful young man whose smile lit up the room. Both mornings we were there we enjoyed the free breakfast (my favorite was the make-​your-​own waffles), and it was great to have free wifi and easy parking. The only (minor) disappointment was that the
ad mentioned a hot tub, and we were advised the owner has since removed it. All in all, I would stay here again.

Well, maybe not «Woohoo! As Good as it gets!» but still they deserve the whole five stars for friendliness and professionalism. Maybe just a little TLC needed — and bring your own pillow (unless you like lumps) — otherwise it has everything your need. Nice stopover hotel and Apple Annies (good American comfort food) just a hop-​skip-​and-​jump away… :)

Chose Tulare as halfway point between SoCal and home. Picked up a hotel coupon book at Tejon rest stop and 1^st looked at Best Western but didn’t like. Went next door to Comfort Suite and reception was very helpful in finding 1^st floor room with King at the coupon rate. Room was very clean with large bathroom. Several restaurants within walking distance.
The hotel was newly refurbished. The breakfast buffet was average and there was no microwave but they did have waffles, eggs, etc.
Only shortfalls were the A/​C didn’t have wall thermostat so it had to run all night; an extra suitcase rack would have been nice and get rid of those low watt light bulbs. Will stay again if we decide to split 500 mile drive across 2 days.

This hotel is ok. The bed was comfortable and their breakfast was better than most with waffles, eggs, and sausage. My gripe has to do with the fact that we got their at 11pm were tired and wanted to sleep. The key cards given to us did not work on our room door, so I went back to the front office and was given a new set of keys, they also did not work. I then waited for the employee to check other people in before he came to look at our door. He could still not get the keys to open it and went back to the office to get us keys to a new room. We finally got to the new room 30 minutes later. All we got was an I’m sorry. What would have made this a 4 or 5 star review would have been if the employee said, «hey, I’m sorry about this, let me give you 20% off tonight’s stay for the hassle.»

Good hotel! Clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast was so so. Bed was comfortable and lists of pillows. Would stay again. Was worried with other reviews but Walls, carpet and bedding was clean. Can’t beat it for the price and right off the freeway!!! Also just a tip that they do not have an elevator so if you dont like stairs request 1^st floor.

I stayed over the Mother’s Day weekend, checking in Saturday, May 7^th and out on May 8^th. I was told by the clerk that the hotel was «very slow that night.» I arrived very late and checked in (almost midnight). The next morning, I went to breakfast at a local restaurant with my family at 8:30 a.m. I returned to the hotel at 10:50 a.m. Immediately upon my return, I called the hotel’s front desk and requested a late check out (check out time is 11:00 a.m.) I was told that I would only be given to 11:30 a.m. I felt totally rushed in trying to get dressed for church and pack up my belongings and leave. I left the room and went to the front desk where no one was present. After waiting around for 15 minutes, I left. The room was decent but the carpet is very dirty. Also there is visible black mold around the tub where the sealant is. I’ve stayed at the Comfort Suites in Fresno on Herndon and this hotel should take some hints from its sister hotel. I don’t think I’ll be staying here again. The Best Western hotel next door is priced a little higher, but definitely a much better hotel.

Really needs to upgrade the carpet in the rooms. The flooring is very dirty. Your feet get totally black within minutes after taking off your shoes. Bathroom door doesn’t stay open. Price is decent when I booked thru

Clean and friendly staff. Felt safe. Not dated but shows wear from, what looks like, remodels. We had a large room on the first floor. Not too noisy until morning when toilets are flushed and showers going from up above. Standard breakfast fair but small breakfast room so if the hotel is packed, so is the breakfast area. If you’re claustrophobic, take your food back to your room.

We stayed here one night enroute to San Francisco from home. It wasn’t too bad. Although it’s right off the highway, the noise wasn’t too bad (and we were on the freeway side). We got a double queen suite. Very clean.
Our bathroom door had a little damage from the main room door, but it wasn’t major. Room air was a little stale when we first got there.
Beds were adequate, but mattresses were starting to show some age. They were a little more firm than I like.
The shower was great — excellent pressure, lots of hot water.
Breakfast was underwhelming — microwaved eggs and bacon.
Internet was slow, but it worked.
Staff was very helpful. After we checked out, we had to go back to search for a sippy cup in the room. No issues.
All in all — for the price it was worth it.
