jcp portraits

I have 3 children and I’m the type of mother who would spend $ 500 – 700 a year on studio photos. I have tried JCP portraits 3 times for the past 3 years and every single time was a disappointment. I went there because I like to shop at JCPenney. Always long wait to check in (and check out) and then the photographer would tell me we don’t have that much time left… I was like «do you not see me waiting in line?» …always seems short of staff… phone ringing and my photographer busy doing other things instead of focusing on us only… and no props for children, not a kid-​friendly studio for kids pictures I’d have to say… of the 3 times I visited, none of the photographers knew how to deal with young children and get my kids to smile… lighting not good either, and I felt rushed selecting photos (especially no chairs for customers). And the truth is their prints are low quality compared to Picture People and Yuen Lui Photography. JCP might be a little bit cheaper but the quality of service is just not worth it. I also wonder if they choose customers to give good service? Bad luck for me I guess.

The 2 reviews already listed are so wrong. I arrived 20 minutes early to my appointment and was immediately seen. Shay greeted us and asked who would be in the photos, how many adults and which type of portraits we would like i.e. holiday, seahawks, ect. We had our jerseys on but wanted to do holiday portraits as well. She took about 20 photos or so which were all perfect the first time. She didn’t gave to retake any photos or reposition us. She is an excellent photographer and I found out she’s been doing photography for 7 years so she is no beginner. I understand that there are quite a few younger employees but age is just a number and obviously the people that wasted their time to complain on Unilocal have nothing better to do. I don’t have children so I didn’t have to deal with that hellish aspect of crying babies and tears which I’m sure in the end affected the reviews that the other people listed. When babies are upset everyone gets upset so it’s understanding. I also had a Groupon which I redeemeed with no problems and no questions asked.
