We took a walk in Tujunga to check out this new farmers’ market on Tujunga Canyon and Apperson Avenues. It is held in a church parking lot. There is street parking and additional private parking near the market area. Today there were about 12 – 14 stalls, with art, jewelry, vegetables, fruit, amazing strawberries, incredible hummus and dolma and middle eastern food, very good baked goods, kettle corn, home made berets, baby items, and bags. There was even a stall with garden tools. After the market we took a ride up to Bear Divide in Angeles National Forest and the hummus and dolmas accompanied by some of the most flavorful strawberries gave us a great impromptu picnic on the mountain. Definitely this is worth the walk and people from the neighborhood are so lucky to have this little market on Sundays!!! Well done, STFFM!!!
