Great market! Delicious organic vegetables and other food! Jut what I needed!

My children can’t wait Saturday when they can go to the farmer market. They like to try honey and strawberry and also they like a bread which is always fresh and delicious!!!

It’s a small, but wonderful, farmers market! We have bought many plants & trees from the nursery vendor. He is very helpful & knowledgeable, & great prices! All of the vendors have great quality & reasonable prices.

No enough organic produce only two vendors have organic produce the rest are not. so no organic tomatoes off to full o life or whole foods I go

I love this Saturday Farmer’s Market in the downtown Burbank /​Media Center area. There are many great vendors, and they have the freshest and tastiest produce. The Guy who sells the gapes at the end of summer has the best grapes you’ve ever tasted. They’re big, amazing, sweet tangy concords and I look forward all year to enjoying this yummy bite of goodness. I love the eggs too. This market has fresh eggs every week. The main egg lady’s line is always long, but there’s usually another lady across the lot, with great quality, free range eggs for a slightly higher price.
Sometimes there are a couple gals who sell Nopales tortilla chips, they are delicious! They’re supposedly good for you, in moderation I guess, but they sure taste great with a fresh pico de gallo! Yum
I love all the stands that have organic produce, you can get some great bargains here. Some of the vendors carry very exotic eggplants, bitter melons, unusual varieties of peppers and such.
It’s fun to buy a bunch of fresh stuff and go home and cook an awesome omelette! There’s even a cheese guy who sells the most delicious Firehouse cheddar.
Check it out, you will love it.

Olive Ave’s Farmers Market in Burbank is rinky-​dinky ‘lil place only open on Saturday mornings, however, I appreciate the place. Nothing new or unusual today. I just walked around this morning and enjoyed a fresh squeezed sunshine shot (3oz orange juice-​apple juice-​ginger juice). There’s a 3oz pomegranate shot too… However, mega potent.

Really cool farmers’ market! Mainly because of the food selection. I wanted to try everything. It’s quite large so you could probably eat twice by the time you have seen it all! Oh yeah, they also have great produce. Parking is easy and the people watching is great. Great way to spend a Sunday morning. Huge market. Lots of vendors. Lots of shoppers.

Love having this nice farmers market in walking distance to my home. It is clean and everyone is friendly.

Hadnt been to this market in years, stopped by today. Enjoyed lots of free samples of fruit cheese and nopal chips. Saw the old plant vendor i used to buy from. We bought a bottle of fresh detox juice and some honey. Yum!

i arrived only after noon though most had packed up, some stands were still open!

So who has been torturing chickens and who hasn’t been?
Seriously, what I noticed is that the price of the organic eggs sold by the farmer who has lines around the block went through the roof, while the eggs at Trader Joes barely went up, which means that some people’s chickens were not so free ranging or caged with room to spare all along.
So which would you prefer? Organic eggs from chickens who are eating well but squashed or eggs from chickens that were never squashed?
I go to this Farmer’s Market a few times a year and in general find the prices too high for my budget, but I’ll spend maybe $ 10 on fruits and veggies more to support the market then anything else.
One stand sells wheat grass, which some cats and dogs love, mine being mercurial about wheat grass for only $ 2 a carton, which is a very good price.
I would like to see a change in attitude about street musicians, which Burbank does not allow in the market. Talked to someone there about this and they said the merchants don’t want to hear the same musician or the same songs over and over again. Well, I think there’s a way to permit musicians who have a couple hours of non-​repetitive music to play, and I think the only provision be that it not be on microphone or speakers and the number of musicians at any one time be limited. There are so many musicians out there who would love to play for tips that it would be easy to do a rotation, say each person plays once a month. I’d go for a flutist, a harpist, a saxophonist; music doesn’t have to be a guy with a guitar doing cover tunes.
You get the idea!

Small but great little Farmer’s Market. Tons of street parking everywhere. So I had to find out what the big brouhaha was about the eggs. Longest line ever! But can’t beat the price for fresh, chemical/​hormone free eggs. 20 eggs for about $ 5. Great deal! Then lots of places to pick up fresh organic produce. And today, there was a vendor selling fresh lilacs for $ 10 a bunch. Of course I had to pick that up for this Easter Weekend! Beautiful and fragrant and what a deal! One vendor also sells fresh mixed greens that you bag yourself — love that! It’s like those pre pack bags you find at the grocery store, except it’s a lot less costly. Great way to start off your weekend!

This place is awesome! locally grown produce and handmade products like bread and cheese, which is what I came here for but everything else is great.
The produce is obviously seasonal. They have fresh eggs… the longest line I’ve seen for eggs!
They also offer honey, cheese, bread, ice cream. they have fresh flowers and trees.
Make sure you carry cash with you but they have banks near by like wells fargo and BofA
Ample parking and lots of samples from the vendors who are all so nice! Great way to spend your weekend :)

Usually a good selection without being too crowded. I love stopping by when I need something. I always get our honey here (thanks Bill’s Bees). The only line is for the eggs. A lot of the vendors sell produce and there is a good deal of overlap, but I don’t mind that too much. I walk around figure out whose is the best. Good farmer’s market and nice people!

I’ve got a yen for farmers markets. If I know I’m going to be near one, I’ve got to drop by and check it out.
Burbank Farmers Market draws a decent amount of business with a couple handfuls of vendors. True to form, most of the stands are selling produce — and usually they’re all selling the same stuff with one or two exceptions. However, you’ve got your trusted vendors popping up for things like honey, bread, prepared food, mediterranean eats like hummus and pita, and fresh flowers and plants. You also get the occasional specialty like a gluten-​free vendor or excellent-​looking mushroom vendor (where they also sell truffles).
Convenient parking is located in the parking lot at the corner of Olive & Glenoaks, and then you just walk around the gates into the market.
One special note: People flock to this market for eggs.
You heard me. Eggs.
There is an all-​natural eggs vendor there where people line up like crazy because the price is right and the eggs can probably last you well over a month in the fridge. Most people who come for the eggs leave with what looks like four dozen. If you like eggs, I suggest you check them out because people love them.
Never seen a line like it.

I’m so glad I finally had a Saturday off and I could come to the Farmers market here. I was also glad I did a bit of research so I knew to go straight to the line for eggs. The line moved a bit slow but it was worth the wait! She has many sized eggs to choose from. We got the flat of jumbo brown eggs for $ 4.00. That’s 20 big beautiful farm eggs for the same price as 12 in the grocery store!
After we had our eggs we explored the other vendors. Lots of fruit and veggie farms to pick from. We got a few baskets of delicious berries. The hummus is also another must!
At least now that we know the lay of the land there I can send the hubby while I’m at work;)
All in all this is a great market and we are so happy to support our local farms!

This farmer’s market is really quaint and easy to walk to. It’s definitely not as big as some other ones, but if you live in Burbank, it makes a nice day outing. They have really fresh fruits and veggies, and there is the CUTEST Asian lady with some fresh mints and Oriental greens if you are looking for some fresh bok choy, etc.
I picked up some fresh fruit and looked around at everything. I got there a little after 12:30, but some vendors were still selling. They have some beautiful potted plants/​flowers and some really beautiful cut flowers as well.
The stand that has the gluten-​free & vegan cookies persuaded me to try a sample. I am not gluten free OR vegan… but those COOKIES were AMAZING!!! I left with some peanut butter & chocolate cookies and they are seriously heavenly. They taste soo good. I would compare it to eating cookie dough… sinful! I will be back regularly to buy those. And they would make an amazing gift for any friends or family who are vegan and/​or gluten free.

I’m a bit of a Burbank booster, it’s true, but here’s one easy-​to-​navigate farmer’s market anybody can love. Tons of free parking in the adjoining lot (or on the adjoining streets), and just enough booths to get what you want (eggs, strawberries, honey, fresh flowers) without wearing you out. Steps away from downtown Burbank’s San Fernando Road with a few interesting shops and restaurants.

How wonderful is this little local Farmer’s Market.
If you come, please visit the plant section, towards the end. The gardener sells gardenias and Arabian jasmines… I bought ours few months back, then I gifted two more, and everyone who received it and us, we absolutely love them! They are very reasonably priced, for healthy lush plants. Go for it!
This week they had amazing cherimoyas! How awesome is that. I am yet to try the egg stand, but there is always a huge line.
