We were happy with our stay here. We got the suite with a kitchen and one bedroom and a hide a bed. Kids had the hide a bed, it was very clean. We had to make the bed on it but the sheets were sealed up so I knew it was clean sheets going on the bed. Housekeeping comes every 3^rd day. But we had plenty of towels and TP so that was ok. Had one minor problem with no parking when we got to the hotel late one night due to construction equipment, but the staff fixed it quickly and opened up spots for us. The staff was all super helpful. We forgot something in our room at checkout, the staff called us within 30 minutes offering to mail it home. Luckily we were still in town and able to pick up our stuff. Will definitely stay here on out next visit to Tucson. The tea and coffee in the lobby was decent and always stocked when we came through morning and night. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool.

Everything was perfect, location, front desk, room size, cleanliness, we will definitely stay here again. Kitchen facilities, sitting area with nice couch and coffee table to entertain .

Very 70s Threes Company feel, this entire place; the maid thought my friend and i were making out but actually eating mangos of the peel.
Early morning spa, mini-​mini golf, pool table, old men playing bridge giving you the side-​eye but no continental breakfast.
Good place. got a great deal. will return.

Wow! I just spent the weekend here with my husband and two kids. I got a Living Social voucher for a 2 night stay and decided to go this weekend since it was my birthday weekend.
Color me impressed.
Firstly, we were upgraded from a one bedroom two a 2 bedroom suite, presumably because they are doing remodeling on one wing of the hotel, but I’d like to fool myself into thinking it was because they did it for my birthday. ;)
The main lobby was welcoming with a pool table, a foosball table and a ping pong ball table. I saw a BBQ grill, a miniature golf set and a large scale chess set outside by the heated pool and whirlpool. The employees at the front desk could NOT have been any friendlier or more helpful. There was also a small convenience store off of the lobby, I didn’t venture in, but I assume it was basic foods and snack items.
Our room was beautiful and extremely well decorated, with every amenity that we could need, including a fully functional kitchen including a full fridge, a coffee maker and coffee, dishes, pot and pans, blender, microwave, a two burner stove and a toaster. (The kitchen even had dish soap and a box of laundry soap for the FREE washers and dryers on the property!)
The suite had 2 bathrooms, each with a Jacuzzi tub, and the bedrooms each had their own televisions, iPhone alarm clock/​docking station, and extra bedding and pillows for the comfortable King sized beds. The living room had another television set and a pull out memory foam sofa bed, and a dining room table with 4 chairs. Our suite also had twin balconies and each of the three areas had its own air conditioner. We had free parking, free cable and free WiFi.
I literally have nothing I can criticize about this place, except that I was sad that we couldn’t stay even longer. :) I’m definitely planning on returning here the next time I’m in Tucson.

Not really the level of quality I am use to from timeshares I can trade. It took an hour after four for our room to be ready when we checked in. The staff said it would be only a few minutes and when we could finally get our room she did say sorry for the wait. I would have preferred her tell us it would be an hour till we could go to the room and let us check in so we could do an early dinner. The kitchen is more comfort in style than full kitchen that they had room to put in. You can order a toaster oven to use for free. However, I didn’t the room on the second floor did, but it was given tome. When I called the front desk to ask why I was handed it they apologized and said someone was going right over to pick it up. I hope they did when they cleaned the room when we left, because unless Casper works there, no one ever came.
Restaurant in resort is closed since 2009, think they should update their we page now. All family activities are free and they do try to mix older with younger, that is if anyone is there fir them since most are morning to noon. Just I case you wanna stay in the resort all day. They do have pool, ping pong, and foosball tables. The pool is small, send only goes to five ft. Gym is ok. The treadmills have been there for a while, you can tell by the weirdness of the belt. The rest of the equipment is fine.
The maids forgot about our rooms midweek clean up. But when they saw us walking in at after before their shift change, they did ask if we would like it and we declined. Two days later we asked for trash pick up since the front desk doesn’t let you throw the bags out yourself. It took two hours for someone to cone get the bag. At least they came, I guess.
Not the best area, I guess since people constantly walk on property asking for money or smokes. Security is constantly out to try and detour this. If you are a smoker, you might not like that you can only smoke out front in one area or were the grills are in the back.
Most of the people working the front desk were amazingly nice. I understand that the housekeeping staff was mainly Spanish speaking but they were not very friendly. You had to move out of there way if walking down the hall as they walk side by side talking, while giving you the stink eye for being in their way. They are narrow halls .
Wouldn’t return, I have been spoiled in other resorts by friendly staff, accurate amenities, full kitchen, and nice areas.

. Front desk people are so friendly and polite, amazing staff. Would definitely stay here again and again! They lost one star because they don’t clean the rooms daily. They do it every 3 days, I think because this place is also a time-​share. They would’ve had 5 if they cleaned daily. Overall, great value!

Read as 3.51. We just completed a 5 day stay here as a timeshare trade. Architecturally the exterior reminded me of Eckhert Place, the timeshare we traded into in San Antonio, but otherwise they are worlds apart. The construction is much sturdier and there was none of the sounds of your neighbors that we experienced there unless they were walking through the hall talking loudly. We were across the hall and down a couple of doors from the elevator and there was no sound at all from the machinery. The grounds are well maintained and all the cacti are labeled as to type, which I really liked. The interior décor is sports themed, w/​jerseys and pennants from various collegiate teams and paintings of local UofA stars. There are multiple TVs in the public areas tuned to a variety of sports.
We experienced some irritation w/​the young woman at the front desk who checked us in on arrival. While sweet, she had an annoying habit of addressing people by name repeatedly as she spoke. This was OK on the phone, but when Alan and I were standing at the desk and she explained everything to him by name, ignoring me, I was not pleased. Even worse, she was unable to prioritize, taking a phone call when she had just about completed checking us in, and leaving us standing there while she engaged w/​the person on the phone until Alan interrupted her and asked her to finish w/​us, which she did.
We had a one bedroom unit. The kitchenette had a 2 burner stove, a refrigerator and no dishwasher or garbage disposal. The coffee maker and other appliances were by Cuisinart. The table was more an extension of the countertop. There were 4 high wooden stools for seating. They were excruciatingly uncomfortable but were the only place to set up the computer. If there had been a desk w/​chair it would have been much better. The living room had a sleeper sofa that looked tired and worn. A matching chair was a bit more comfortable and less shabby. There was adequate reading light. There was a decorative clock commemorating a UofA championship in 1997. Two pieces of art, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom, were quirky, imaginative Robert Shields prints, one signed and numbered. The other two pictures, one in the living room and the other over the bed, were generic southwestern prints that held no interest. There were large flat screen TVs in the living room and the bedroom.
The bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of storage for clothes. As is typical of Diamond Resorts, the linens were of excellent quality. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub and the towels were plush. Kleenex is good quality and toilet paper is too thin. Not the worst I’ve seen, but certainly not the same quality as the towels or other paper goods. There was a sign in the bathroom saying that towels would be inventoried after checkout and people would be charged if any were missing, or something to that effect. I realize that there are those who steal hotel towels, but that sign suggests all guests are potential thieves, not a good message.
The unit was cleaned after we had been there three days and housekeeping did a fine job. The place was immaculate when we moved in and they straightened up nicely. Staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here despite the uncomfortable seating. Everything else was quite good. Wifi was free and mostly worked reliably.

I slept on the pull-​out couch and it was in the top three of the worst I’ve ever experienced. There were missing springs and stains on the cushions. I had to sleep with the cushions on top of the mattress to make it remotely comfortable.
Moreover, the wifi is aggravatingly slow, and the pool was closed for an entire month for maintenance. This is unacceptable. They also failed to provide free or reduced rate access to a substitute pool in the area. But hey, they’ve got really nice TVs, which is really all the sports-​loving brahs who typically stay here care about, right?

Dave C. at the front desk could not be more professional, polite and helpful! He really cares that you are enjoying your stay and will go out of the way to help in any way he can– a class act! The rooms were clean and the kitchenette is the greatest! The pool is well kept and they have a grill next to it for anyone to use. The gym on the 1^st floor has everything that is needed. This place is the BEST kept secret in Tucson for the price. It’s value cannot be beat period! I cannot recommend this place enough for the cost!

Okay, first things first. This is NOT a hotel! This is a time share that sells rooms when they don’t have enough reservations.
The good thing about this is you can get some great deals. I paid $ 47 a night through Hotwire. Awesome!
The room I got was a one bedroom suite. The bed was very comfortable and there was a full kitchen and living room. The bathroom was large and clean and included a jetted tub.
You really can’t beat this room for the price!
Now the bad things. The TV was an old 20″ tube television. Who has those anymore? The sofa had a fold out bed. That is great if you have additional people in the room who need a place to sleep, but not so much if you are just looking for a comfortable place to sit. It was a very uncomfortable sofa.
Some of the rooms, including the one I got, are along Speedway which is a major street. I specifically asked NOT to be along the street side, but they put me there anyway. If you look at the fine print for this place on
they even say that they can’t guarantee a noise free room, and I suspect it is because of this. The noise actually wasn’t as bad as I expected, but you should be aware of this if you choose to stay here. If you go when it is hot (almost always in Tucson) the AC will cover up the street noise and you should be fine.
Also, because this is a time share, they do not have full on maid service. They do have maids who clean the room before you check in and after you leave, but during your stay there is no maid service unless you stay more than 3 nights, and then the maids only clean your room once after the third day. You can request additional maid service for an ADDITIONAL charge if you need it.
The free WiFi was okay, but the signal in the room wasn’t great and it even crashed one day and took quite a while for them to get it back up.
There is no restaurant on the premises, but there is a McDonald’s across the street and a Chinese restaurant right next door. I had a vehicle so this wasn’t an issue for me, but if you don’t have a car, it might be for you.
If you know what you are getting yourself into, this is a great place to stay at a great price.

We got a great deal on a room with a kitchenette that had a balcony. Everything was clean and nice. The reason it only gets three stars is because they accused us of smoking in the room, which we absolutely did not. There is a $ 150 fee if they find evidence of smoking. We told them there is no evidence because we did not smoke in the room. The manager then called back and apologized for the accusation as he double-​checked with the housekeeper who changed her mind about being sure of evidence. Not sure if we would actually go back again because we are too afraid of being accused and charged for something we did not do. Tip: be leery of the ‘online deal’ this hotel offers.

The hotel I usually stay in was under construction, but that’s great news as it landed me at a new place to stay. I think the staff is super friendly and helpful. When I walked in the door, it felt as if they were waiting for me.
The rooms are big! If you stay in a one bedroom, there is a couch that pulls out. If you stay in a two bedroom, there is a decent sized «living» room and I believe the couch pulls out in there as well. Both rooms had a kitchen-​which I really liked.
Good price. Good stay. Close to campus.

Our first stay in a Varsity Club facility. First impression: friendly front desk, nice room, good fridge, good bathroom, clean.
Those impressions were correct. The room was clean and comfortable. The fridge was full-​size, and there was a small cooktop. This worked out very well (even if the drainer is too small to hold many dishes). The bathroom was good, the supplied soap and shampoo were good. Really a first-​rate place.
I will have to ding them for a couple of things, though. The in-​room wi-​fi was very slow. Don’t know why since the signal was very strong, but pages loaded VERY slowly. Also, we couldn’t get the TV to switch to the auxiliary input for the DVD player. It was plugged into the inputs, but the TV didn’t seem to see it. The was no menu option for the inputs, either. Just «radio».
If it weren’t for that I’d probably rate this place 5 stars. Have fun trying to find someplace comparable for the price. I don’t think you will be able to. This is on my short-​list of hotels to check when I travel now.

This place was a great! We got a really good deal on
. We were given a suite like room for the price of a motel room. We stayed three nights. The room was very clean, and had everything we needed. The service was amazing. The hotel manager even offered to fix my mom’s walker when it was broken on the second day.
The hotel has a pool, spa, fitness room, grill, and billiards table. Anything you could need to kill some time!
I would definitely stay here again.
