Description

Specialties

The Azure Gate Bed and Breakfast is a romantic secluded estate on 5 acres of botanical garden ambiance at the gateway to magnificent Mt. Lemmon. Open its gate and enter a magical place of brightly designed Mexican tiles, saltillo tile floors, colorful walls, courtyards with splashing fountains, and ten exquisite gates made by artist, Simon Donovan. Relax by its pool. Explore meandering pathways. Watch as a bobcat drinks from a bird bath. Fall asleep in one of the beautiful bedrooms to a desert lullaby of hooting owls and yipping coyotes. Awaken to a sunrise song of cooing doves, squawking quail, and the fragrant anticipation of a delicious breakfast.

History

Established in 2002.

Dennis and Christine began searching for a Bed and Breakfast in 2000 looking at existing B&Bs for sale as well as properties that could become B&Bs. Finally, in 2002 they settled on an estate that was not a B&B. The result, The Azure Gate, was perfect: two guest houses, complete with kitchens, and two additional rooms in the main house. We have had the most amazing and interesting guests over the years, something we will cherish the rest of our lives.
