History

Established in 1972.

Back in 1972 my family opened a small jewelry shop in the University area of Tucson Arizona.

Called Piney Hollow.

My parents, myself and 4 siblings all learned to silversmith. Along with friends that wanted to be included. We were at that time a thriving business in creating sterling silver and semiprecious stone jewelry. Selling wholesale to the East coast, and retail in town. 10 years later we bought the remnants of a bead store that closed and for the next 25 yrs I worked as manager in our bead and jewelry shop. My Father Mike Haggerty bought a bead collection and set up a museum to share the History of beads with our customers. I am 40 years experienced in the jewelry business.

I have been working in the Jewelry business now for over 40 years. Starting at age 13. Silversmith turned beadwork instructor and artist. I have learned my skill by doing repairs and seeing first hand how pieces are put together.

I have also learned how not to put your pieces together.

My classes are designed for instruction to make durable, long lasting, marketable jewelry. I do the construction for designers who need to learn more about how their pieces are put together. There are a lot of designers out there that create pieces I can see quite well that they will not last. I have also taught after school programs, summer programs, senior centers, home party’s, special events. one on one classes, and help in creating your own piece, or gift for someone special. I love what I do and thank all who have supported my way of living.
