When it comes to Sonoran hotdogs this is the best place hands down all those other places in Tucson do not come close to Manantial… the one place that tempts me to break my diet. The food truck had awesome tacos and tortas you need to experience this before you can say you have eaten at Tue best food cart. They are open 7 days a week but Monday you can only get hotdogs but that is OK by me since that is usually what I eat anyway. Great salsa bar and they have the typical cucumber and radishes so hey those are vegetables right I can say I ate healthy-ish. They don’t accept credit cards so bring cash… it’s worth the bit extra hustle and the owner is super friendly

Still searching for an outstanding Mexican food truck; but this is one of my top so far. All good but particularly like their cabeza taco(or burtito) – best in town. The flour tortilla in the burrito didn’t taste like they’[d bought it at Food City and the chile arbol salsa tasted home made and great.

If you are looking for a quick bite to eat and do not mind eating in your car or outside on plastic tables, this place is awesome. It is not a restaurant, but a permanent food truck The eating area is super clean as is the truck and grill. The eating area is outside and covered. The people that work here, take pride in the product that they produce. I have never really liked hot dogs, but I was intrigued by all the reviews, so I had to try it. The Sonoran hot dog was a flavor explosion in my mouth. The bun was warmed and grilled and the hot dog was covered in perfectly cooked bacon, with all the vegetable fixings on top, giving it a unique texture. Take bites of the cheese stuff, bacon wrapped chili to cleanse the palate in between bites. My husband and I also tried the carne asada tacos, probably the best I have ever had. They do have some other menu items that will make the kids happy, like quesadillas.

I haven’t been here in over a year since moving to Colorado, call it nostalgia, but Jesús Cristo do I miss this place. The carne is exactly how it should be, smoky, tender and a hint of marinade(preparada). The crown jewel of Manantial is the beloved hot dog sonorense… oh god of misfortune, why can’t these be found where I live? The buns are grilled, the bacon is perfectly cooked, not too crispy or chewy, toppings are, well, numerous. Never trust a Sonoran dog place that doesn’t have mushrooms or cucumbers. The salsas are all great from mild to spicy. By far, the best part is the free chile. It’s the standard yellow kind, but stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. How they pull this off as a free compliment to an already underpriced dog(or at least used to be) I will never know, nor question. I only found out about this place because I have a friend who is a police officer on the South side, and he knew about it because it was close to a crack house they raided. Prepare yourself for South Tucson, high crime, high quality food, that’s just how it is, deal with it. Don’t look anyone in the eyes, speak as much Spanish as you are capable of and tip well. You’ll be fine if you follow those simple rules.

One of the best good truck stands on Tucson. It’s a permanent location so it’s always there. The carne Asda is amazing ! It’s flavor is authentic and juicy/smoking. They’re Sonoran hot dogs compete with the best in Tucson. And it’s one of the only few places that serves tacos de tripa(tripe) You need to try this place!

WOW!!! WOW!!! this is are the best Sonoran Hot Dogs hands down, BKs or Guero canelos does not come close to this. they are so delicious and authentic tasting. $ 2.25 each i think. and they give you this yellow pepper stuffed with cheese and then wrapped with bacon and grilled. its bitter sweet that this place doesn’t get the CRED it deserves but at the same time if not everyone know about it it keeps not so busy. I’ve been here once every year for the last 3 years and i cant wait to go to Tucson to just eat here. aside from the hot dogs they have awesome tacos, real Mexican tasting tacos. also they have a salsa bar with like 5 or 6 different salsas, guacamole, and hot dog toppings besides what they already come with. try this place you wont be disappointed. ***CASHONLY***

Hands down, these are the best Sonoran style hot dogs in Tucson. They come with a bacon-wrapped stuffed yellow pepper that will haunt my dreams for the rest of my life. If theologians declare there are no El Manantial hot dogs in the afterlife, then I will change my religion.

My carne asada burrito was very bland. I don’t eat burritos a lot but I thought they came with more than just meat inside. This was a gigantic burrito but the only thing inside of it was steak. The steak was too fatty and dripping with oil… on to the next food stand. I won’t be returning here.

This is not my favorite stand in Tucson, but it’s definitely a worthy member of the local food scene. The food is pretty good, the prices are very reasonable, and the folks working the operation are very friendly. In my opinion the star of the show is the carne asada, which is flavorful and smokey. I was less impressed with the cabeza and chicken adobada: though they certainly weren’t bad, they weren’t as richly flavorful as I would have liked. The carne asada torta is definitely a highlight, coming heaped with cabbage, tomato, cheese, and avocado. It’s big and messy, and certainly worth the effort. The tacos are somewhat less noteworthy and the caramelos are just run-of-the-mill cheese and meat(check out Karamelo King for some caramelos that’ll knock your socks off). The salsas in the salsa cart are also relatively average, though again they certainly aren’t bad. If you’re in the area and want some cheap Mexican street food, this is a perfectly good place to get it. And if you have a hankering for some good carne asada, then these folks have you covered. In particular, if you want a carne asada torta then I’m not sure there’s a better place to find one(although to be fair, I don’t usually order tortas so I might have missed something). If you’re not in the mood for carne asada, though, then you might want to search elsewhere. Luckily there’s a lot of great Mexican food in this area, so you probably won’t be disappointed.

I’ve bene to BKs, Guero Canelos and a ton of other trucks and stands. This is by far the best Sonoran Dog in town!!! The tortas and tacos are great too! The salsa bar is amazing… Remember it’s a truck in a dirt lot.

Good hotdogs and good carne. Did my normal hotdog and taco combo to test the waters. A bit messy for a guy in a tie, but tasty nonetheless. Salsa bar is good, lots of topping choices, of course that adds to the mess. Extremely busy with lunch crowd but open late till 11pm so you can try them anytime. Definitely a good option in the class of Sonoran hotdogs maybe not the top one but good. Have to try the adhobada tacos next time.
