History

Established in 1973.

Electronic City was started by Paul Ewing in 1973 as the only electronic parts store in Tucson offering wholesale prices to the public. In 1980, Paul passed on the leadership of the company to his son, Glenn Ewing. As technology changed over the years, so did Electronic City. By 2000, IT service and support to other area businesses became the focus of the company and EC Group was born. The acquisition of locally owned DeMott Business Systems in 2004 allowed EC Group to begin offering office equipment sales and service along with IT solutions. In 2012, EC Group acquired The Price Shopper, an office supply, break room supply, and cleaning supply delivery company, followed by the acquisition of, Gibsons Office Supply, further expanding our line of office supply products and needs.
