Discount Tire Store – Tucson, AZ

I’ve never had worse service at a Discount Tire. I got a flat tire early in the morning and had it towed from work to this location at around 11:30am. I called to confirm it was there and asked for it to be done by 1pm. I arrived around 1:30 to find my car wasn’t done and wasn’t even in the line to be done. Then proceeded to wait two hours for my tire to be fixed. Never coming back to this location again.

Unbelievable service! Busy as ever on Saturday where everywhere else would have been a 2 – 3 hour wait they had me out in 30 minutes. Great teamwork and all employees were sprinting around. Model for great customer service

They are all about the money, not service. Bought 4 cooper tires for my Camry. 3 months later had a leak in one. Brought it in. Took an hour and a half for them to deal with it as they were busy selling tires rather than fixing problems. get it – it is capitalism. They get it in. tell me it is a puncture, slow leak in side wall. It would be $ 45 for a new tire. they said warranty was over. Only 6000 miles on the tires. Sleazy and dishonest in retrospect. Oro Valley’s location os much more customer oriented

I’ve never bought tires from anyone else. They match prices and provide the best service.

I have a mixed review about this place. I have now taken two cars here. Both are older vehicles, both have had new sets of tires. The first vehicle I brought here was simple: got a new set of tires, brought it in regularly for a year+ to get air put in, tires rotated & checked, and any other tire maintenance that occurs. Everything went smooth, albeit there is ALWAYS a long wait, even if you have an appointment.
My new used car: I brought it in a couple of weeks ago to have a new set of tires put on. The man who sold me the tires is really nice, but after spending $ 500 to have tires put on my 1995 Honda Civic I brought the receipt home and my fiancé promptly told me that I had been taken advantage of. The man at the counter had asked if I wanted the same kind of tires put on the car as the previous owner had on, and after asking some questions (not the right ones, I guess) I agreed. I honestly don’t know anything about tires, so maybe it’s my fault I got the wrong ones, but the tires that were sold to me are the high-​end all weather tires that are definitely NOT needed in the Tucson climate. SO. I overspent about $ 200.
(I really feel someone could have explained to me what I was getting.)
Also, I was told «It wont be more than an hour and twenty minutes wait!». Two and a half hours later I was getting extremely restless and got up to look in the garage. My car wasn’t there. I looked out in the parking lot, still no car. I walked out the door and there is my car, parked behind a bunch of other big cars. I go to the guy at the front desk and ask if my car is done because it’s in the parking lot. «Honda Civic?»
«Yeah, that’s me.»
«It’s been done for awhile, no one called you up?»
«OBVIOUSLY NOT.»
— That infuriated me. Because the last thing I want to do is spend one more minute in their packed waiting room.
Overall, their warranty for tires is truly excellent, and you really can just bring your vehicle by anytime for a rotation or fill up. We have the plan that says if our tire blows out or pops or gets a nail in it or anything we can have the tire replaced for no additional cost. I think it’s definitely worth it to go here.

Discount tire has taken care of my family vehicles for over 20 years. Never a problem and I do not even check on price anymore. This is the place to go for tires.

I’m having a nail in my tire kinda day. Actually it’s been a great day, besides the nail in my tire. Haha. The guys at discount tire took great care of me and my car. They are always so friendly no matter what store you go to! In and out pretty quick and they fixed my tire, rotated and balanced my tires for free! Great customer service as always! Thanks guys!

Medina is the man at this place. Didn’t have such great service the last time I came in, but killed it this time. After having a blow out on the interstate it’s a nice feeling to be safe again.

I’m just going to start with… GIVE THEM TIPS!!! Just as you would tip at a restaurant or a salon– tip the discount tire people too! Most of the things you are getting are free! Especially at the AIR CHECK! I wish everyone knew that Discount Tire doesn’t make ANY MONEY on anything but selling tires! If you love Discount Tire then TIP! I say at LEAST $ 1 a tire :)
I LOVE DISCOUNT TIRE! The staff is SO FRIENDLY and they truly care about every customer that walks in the door! They know and understand that, «the customer is always right» they live by it. They want to make everyone happy! And if anyone gets mistreated they WILL make it right. So please be patient– because you aren’t the ONLY person who needs new tires, a flat fixed, or a rotation! Make your reservations people! And if you drive a half a million vehicle. Same goes for you! Make your reservations!
These guys are HARD WORKING! Most of them work from 7:30 in the morning till 7 at night! Moving all day! Lifting heavy things, bending over, running back and forth, rain or shine, while STILL being friendly to everyone and getting the job done in 14 min or less!
And again… GIVE THEM TIPS!!!

My rear tire deflated while visiting Tucson and a local told me to go to Discount Tire and that they would probably fix it for free. Being a New Yorker, I just took that news with a grain of salt.
After filling the tire from a portable pump, I drove over there. The place was packed. Five service registers and a waiting room full of people in the process of getting service. Even though it was so busy, the staff was patient, efficient, and nice. Mike walked out to my car with me to look it over and get the mileage.
Long story short, I waited an hour (walked to Target and shopped) and came back to pick up my car. No charge! I couldnt believe it! They told me there was a piece of metal in the tire. They removed it, sealed the tire, and balanced it. All free!
I’ll never doubt Tucson local knowledge and hospitality again.

I was on a doughnut and went to get a new tire. They were pretty busy and told me it was going to be a two hour wait, so I asked if I could just drop the tire off and pick it up later. The sales guy was really cool and told me when I came back to pick it up I would be next in line and they would just bolt it on. When I went back to pick it up they told me it would be another two hour wait, & I explained that i had to go to work and what was promised that it was just a quick bolt-​on that it didn’t even need to go in a bay, they said okay we’ll see what we can do. After waiting an hour I just wanted my tire and I would put it on myself at home. I then had another 20 minute wait for them to find the tire, and rude service even though now they didn’t even have to do anything, and tried to make me feel like the bad guy. Very disapointed, ive never had bad service from a discount tire. It wasnt a horrible tragic incident but definitley frustrating when promised something that isnt anything out of the ordinary or going above and beyond and they cant fulfill their word and act rude when trying to make their job easier, just rubs me the wrong way.

Honest, reliable, and caring staff. Tony Serventi and Mike are the best Managers I’ve come across. They treat you like family. Speed your vehicle maintenance time up. They are why I will return for any of my vehicle needs. 5 star service.

Came I buy a tire here last Thursday. Can’t even drive it 60mph without it shaking. Brought it back today to get ish from the guy saying it’s my back tire now which has a small little rubber problem. Why would it now have a problem when it didn’t before I brought it on and all of a sudden there is nothing they can do? Then give me attitude because the car is worse then when I brought it in. I don’t get it. Not ever buying a tire from this place.
Forgot about getting an appointment. I had one for 5:15 and I’m still here at 6:05 and they still haven’t touched my car.

Discount Tire is a well run, service-​forward business. The employees are always courteous and they do a ton of extras for free. We buy our tires here because they are often the best deal in town. Tire rotations and fix-​a-​flats are always free. Can’t beat that deal!

Again a warning: I used to be a loyal (ten years) customer, but lately not so much. What changed, Discount is always a long wait 1 – 1.5 hours minumum for me. Also they keep selling me up to what are supposed to be the best tires they have for my car… untill I need new ones (every time in less than what they said the tires would last) then they have just gotten in the new and improved tire that costs more. I also made a specific request that they did not do and had to return agian to have it done. Time consuming and frustrating at this place, I will go to Costco next time! Please use this buisness if you already know exactly what you want, if you need tire advise that you can trust has your best interest at heart. go elsewhere.

I have been here every 6k miles for my free rotation. At the end of the tire life, new set of 4. This has gone on for over 10 years, usually different crew but always the same great service. Rotation and high speed balance. Just picked up new Hankooks, the lexus tire of Korea. We had them on the Honda, just a amazing smooth ride, quiet and positive feel. Mike the manager today, gave me a huge discount because my Yokohamas didn’t go the distance on my mini truck. Fine, less $$ for me. I would not go anywhere else.
I have already signed up for the lifetime rotation for the new prius. This shop is all about service and keeping the customer.

I pulled in today without an appointment and a serviceman (Juan) was waiting for me at the doors. He examined my tires and said that the team would definitely help me get that nail out of my tire and patch things up for me … Wait for it FOR FREE !!! Holy crap they said that flats get fixed for free at discount tires ! That has won me my dedication to them for anything in the future !

Leo and Fernando, well all the guys really, worked way past closing because of me. I could tell they were tired but due to money and a dead cell phone issues I was really stuck.
They stayed positive, and told me I could be safe on just two tires, and worked with me to able to get what I needed. I ended up getting ll four for safety reasons, but Leo walked me through why I could be perfectly safe with two if I couldn’t afford all four.
No pressure, just honest help, from a group of overworked exhausted guys who wanted to go home.
It was slammed when I got there, but they got in as quick as they could. By time I left they were locked up, and still smoling.
Can’t say enough good about them.

Needed new tires for my Fiancé’s car. I went in and was greeted by «Nick» who was friendly, helpful, and made sure he gave me a better deal than Jack Furrier’s. He was able to beat them by about $ 14 difference. I was sold what I needed without much hassle. The only complaint I have is that they really hard sell the TPMS Rebuild kits that adds an extra $ 9.50 per tire. Also, my Care One Credit card that I had never used continued to decline. I had to fill out all new paperwork to get reapproved, because if you dont use the credit card within 9 months of approval, they cancel the card. That was a hassle. However, it wasn’t the salesman’s fault.
Overall, I recommend this Discount location because they do treat you with respect and make you feel like a valued customer. Jack Furrier’s made me feel like they were in a hurry and didn’t want to deal with me.

Have never had to deal with this location for a sales deal but maintenance and customer service is exceptional and what I have come to expect from discount. Fast in and out with a smile.

There are many things I hate to go and get gas, groceries, and tires being just a few. I drive on tires I know are at the end of their life and then drive a little further all in bane, because I know I have to eventually fork over the cash to get new ones. I did some research on-​line, and ended up where I always go anyway, Discount Tires. I hadn’t even gotten out of my car when the tire guy was right there, he pulled me inside I got my tutorial, bought my 60,000 mile warranty tires, with all the warranties including the one if the get stabbed on the side from some random piece of steel, or a psycho tire killer. This all took place within about 40 minutes, the quickest smoothest ride I have ever had in getting new tires. They know I will be back for my next set, because they serviced this set. It kinda doesn’t get any better than that for something that can be a total pain.

Phenomenal customer service is all I have to say. Monday morning has welcomed me with a flat tire but fortunately one quick call to DT made everything better. The quality of the customer service over the phone (I spoke to Aaron) set the vibe for how this was going to go down: friendly & attentive. Since I was down the street I came to this location and Aaron was outside waiting when I pulled up! Car was assessed right away as within 5 minutes I gladly spent $ 700 of my hard earned cash for a new set of wheels. Gladly you ask? That’s right! Because my time wasn’t wasted, my flat tire was replaced for free, and Aaron was thorough as can be.
This may be a chain, but DT holds up to its high standards of professional, friendly and super attentive customer service.

I just returned from getting two new tires installed. Great place!
I selected my tires online through their corporate website, selected this location, and set an appointment time for 8:00.
I arrived at 8:00 and that’s when they open for business. There were 5 other customers in front of me already waiting at the door. Three employees came out with clipboards and immediately started attending to them as opposed to everyone filing inside and standing at their counter. Very nice and efficient. In spite of not being immediately tended to because of my placement in line, I was still acknowledged by an employee and was told that they would get to me as soon as possible and I was welcome to come inside.
I didn’t have to wait long. I noticed that the morning’s appointments, including mine, was up on a whiteboard. This shows attention to detail and caring that they really do have appointments. I was waited on at 8:07.
I was out the door at 8:27. I was surprised. I even took my laptop and a couple of textbooks with me to do some homework. The car was done in nothing flat. I was home by 8:40. GREAT SERVICE!
And to top it off, they put my temporary spare back in the storage correctly, properly secured, and the hatch to the storage space properly closed and latched. More attention to detail. I love it when a company does it right.
What also struck me was how ALL the employees – and there were about seven I had personal contact (made a connection by saying hello, etc.) – were sincerely friendly and courteous. None of that plastic, fake, sales personality. All were sincere. They seemed to enjoy being there at their job and enjoy doing what they were doing. A BUSINESS THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!
