Clear View Glass and Tint

Very happy. I came here for my Prius to get window tints and the guy doing the work took the time to explain the different tint shades, the percentage of light blocked, and pricing. My windows came out beautifully and for pretty cheap. I can already feel the difference when I sit in my car after a long hot day. Plus, I love life time warranty.

I recently brought my vehicle to ClearView to have all of the windows tinted, as well as their «UV Kit» for the windshield. Being a former window film installer myself, I am hesitant to pay someone for work I can do myself. However, I brought my vehicle to these guys because they install SunTek film, which is some of the best stuff on the market and I no longer have the means to order SunTek film. Their installer, Alex, did a great job on all the windows and I was very pleased with his work. He informed me that he most likely would not be able to do my UV kit because the rearview mirror bracket on my particular vehicle is very tricky and he didn’t want to risk breaking the windshield. I totally understood and would have done the same thing myself. He said we would need to reschedule that portion of the work for a time when their lead installer was working. I agreed and was on my way. The following business day, I called to schedule that time and the lady who answered the phone said that this particular installer was out in the field and to check back the next day. I did that, and continued to be pushed back. After a whole week of trying to schedule work I had already paid for, I kept getting denied. Finally, I went into their store and asked for my money back on that portion of the installation. One of the people came out of the office with a new invoice saying the refund amount would be $ 75, when $ 125 is what I had prepaid for the UV kit and windshield strip. When I presented the original invoice, they got very defensive and said «we never charge $ 125 for those. We gave you a discount.» Which simply wasn’t true. The math didn’t add up and they were trying to keep an additional $ 50 in their pocket. When I questioned that, another guy in the office said «Just give him the money back, he’s not worth the argument.»
So, after all this, why the 3 star review instead of 1 star? Well the first part of my experience here was actually quite good. Scheduling the appointment was easy and convenient, the receptionist was pleasant, and the installation was very clean with only minor defects. It wasn’t until they tried to swindle me when everything became bad. It was almost dealing with two completely different companies. I will not be using this particular company again in the future, and I personally feel that Alex should be working for a company where his skills can be backed by a better business.

This place is awesome. Michelle was great at explaining the tinting options and pricing (really nice customer service) so I decided to give them a chance. I was not disappointed. These guys are all about quality. Alex has been called a magician and I cannot disagree. I would recommend this business to anyone needing window work.

I have had 3 vehicles tinted at Clear View and they always provide A+ service. Alex is awesome and will meticulously tint your windows while you wait.
I had an issue where the front windows on one vehicle were tinted darker than the back. Turned out they had 2% tint and didn’t know it. Not a problem though. Alex removed it and put new tint on free of charge. Which brings up a good point: lifetime guarantee on the tint. Can’t go wrong there.

I had the same experience as a previous Unilocaler. The ClearView sales people were all over my car the second I pulled into Metro Car Wash on Speedway. They told me there were chips in my windshield when there were clearly none. I had my car washed and then called the manager of Metro over to take a look. I asked him if he believed my windshield had any chips. He said «absolutely not.» ClearView is a scam company and I would never consider doing business with them.

I will agree with previous reviewers that the window tinting work is worth 5 stars, but the headlight restoration work I also had done looked good until I had the car washed (I waited the requisite amount of time, plus another week, they advised to wait before having it washed). The protective coating was deficient, it «ran», and I ended up having to take the car to another business to have the work done all over again.
Also, they have salesmen stationed at Metro Car Wash. These high-​pressure insects are all over your car scrutinizing your window glass before you come to a stop. They will try to sell you glass replacement when there’s nothing wrong with your glass and you don’t need it.
I’ve expressed my aggravation to Metro Car Wash several times but they allow these obnoxious worms to accost their customers.

The Owner Peter and Magician Alex (detail pro) made my visits the best. If I needed a lift, I was taken care of. If I needed a special day and time for detail. No problem. Peter cares about his clients. Alex does the job to perfection. No flaws. They worked on a new windshield, all tints, and painted rims. They will take care of your needs. If I think of any other items to place on my car, I will only have them do the work.

I purchased a Groupon deal for $ 32 (½ off the regular price). They restored the headlights in less than 30 minutes. Quick. Good work. I was satisfied.

They were professional when I dropped off the car. The guy walked outside and was able to give recommendations on tint percentages. I’m writing the review three days after I had the windows done and overall, from customer service to quality of tint/​work, I’m very satisfied.
