Chuze Fitness

Excellent facility with welcoming staff and plenty of diversity in the offerings so you don’t get bored! I primarily use the Oracle and Wetmore location, where I enjoy the cardio machines (solid elliptical machines, treadmills, the stair climbers that create actual stairs, rowing machines, etc.), free weights, weight machines, and 30 minute circuit with simplified weight machines. I used to do a lot of the classes, which are high energy and motivating. The spinning sessions are awesome if you’re into that. Most recently I have been doing personal training with Randy. This has been a wonderful experience with top-​notch support, guidance, and focus on the big picture as well as the details of each repetition of an exercise. I don’t have anything bad to say about this gym or the personal training experience and I heartily recommend both.

Great gym. Clean, great classes, great equipment, all for a great price. Personal training with Ryan is great. And all of the Zumba classes are fun but my favorite is Ashley’s.

A gym with no barbells or squat rack. The place looks nice but a gym that recommends smith machines isn’t a good place to workout. Ever.

It’s a solid gym with clean facilities that is cheap and well run. This gym is anti meat head so no crazy roided out freaks running around causing trouble. But if you want to stay fit, lift weights, and aren’t weird about it this place will get the job done.
There are no olympic bars just smith racks but you can work around this with little trouble.
peak hours during weekdays are pretty packed, no supersetting, but not impossible to get a work out in, otherwise the gym is pretty open and the equipment you want is almost always available.
most the people are just there to hit the cardio machines, of which there are many, so if you lift then you get free reign over the equipment any time outside of peak hours.
granted a lot of people go here are not familiar with gyms and lifting you are guaranteed some excellent people watching during almost every workout. At first I was annoyed with this but have learned to embrace it, it’s actually somewhat entertaining.
All in all I would recommend this gym.

i’m a retiree with silver sneakers so wherever i go i can usually find a place to work out. chuze is be far and away the best facility i’ve been to in years! it’s clean, the equipment is in excellent condition, staff is friendly and helpful. the only problem i have with the place is that this being an election year… TURN OFF FOX NEWS, please.

Considering terminating my membership. Honestly the gym, equipment, trainers and all around atmosphere is great. The group exercise classes are held in a separate room aka Ice Box. Doing weights and cardio while having to breathe in cold dry air is really uncomfortable. Imagine trying to catch your breath during a hard session only to have constant cold and dry air entering your lungs. It hurts.
Last week, during kettle kamp, the lady behind me was having a dry coughing fit. She wasn’t sick or anything. It’s the controlled super cold air conditioning that triggered it coz it happened right in the middle of class after a particularly hard workout. I worked out with a hoodie the whole time coz I was cold and not sweating.

This gym is great. If I wasn’t on a working contract I would never leave. I try to come as frequent as I can. Very reasonable prices. Everyone is always so nice & this place is always clean! If I’m ever in Tucson or California I will definitely be back.

Very clean, great friendly staff. I haven’t been a member of a gym for awhile, but when I joined this one, I was happy to find a staightforward, comfortable environment to spend my time to workout.

Clean gym, new equipment, very friendly staff (in fact, the friendliest I have ever encountered at the gym), great classes, nice hydro-​massage, affordable. It’s not the biggest gym, but it really isn’t that crowded and has the equipment that most standard gyms have. The hydro-​massages are nice after a good work out. They also have tanning beds if you’re into that. I am very conscious about cleanliness and they do a great job making sure that everything, from the locker rooms to the gym to the hydromassage beds and tanning beds are well sanitized.
Membership is also very affordable and without a really crazy high initiation fee. The premium membership also has a bring-​a-​friend feature (allowing you to bring a friend for the fitness area every time you work out). I have not tried to do so yet so can’t specifically comment on what that entails.

I was excited to start my membership today, and brought my roommate to check it out so hopefully he would join. The website said «free one day pass» but I did not have a printer at the house so we just went to the gym. The girl was not very friendly and said he had to pay for the day pass. I told her the website said one day pass was free, she said that’s only if you fill out the form on the computer. They charged him money and then had him fill out the same form on a kiosk in the lobby. I doubt he will join now, and I will never bring anyone else to this place. The sign says their slogan is «less attitude», but bad attitude is all we got there tonight. I wish I did not join…

I’ve been with this location since it opened and lately you can tell new management is taking the gym in a less friendly more like every meathead gym direction. For instance, they used to have a few nice people behind the desk when you walk in, some of whom would greet you by name but always said hello and goodbye when you left. Now there seems to be more employees standing around talking to each other and one facing you with arms crossed policing you as you walk in, who deliberately doesn’t say hello. They cancelled popular classes, changed the schedule (again), no apologies. Just generally don’t seem to want to accommodate you as the customer. Add it all up and you’ve got that same weird lame I’m better than you vibe that most gyms give off. Even at my grandfathered cheap price I’m starting to look around for a new gym.

For the money, this gym is the best. My husband pays $ 10.00 a month, and he can use all of the equipment and weights, which are excellent. I pay $ 20.00 a month, which includes also the tanning beds and the aqua massage beds. (I love the aqua massage, which helps my bad back.) The place is immaculately clean, and the staff is friendly. They have a personal training session and a aerobics class, for those who are interested.

This place was one of the best gyms I signed up for. The facility was exceptionally clean. You constantly see the workers cleaning the equipments and facility. The price per month is extraordinarily cheap and affordable as well! I’ve gone to some of the classes and they were fun and worth the extra membership charge. This facility is quit small compared to an LA Fitness, but I always felt welcomed and comfortable. The only thing I suggest is to do the month-​to-​month payment rather than pay for the entire year’s membership. Life happens sometimes and you won’t get the rest of your money back after canceling your membership.

Chuze Fitness is so clean that I actually feel guilty sweating.

FYI, this is the only gym I have ever rated 5 stars. It is kind of a big deal.

WOW! $ 20 a month for a clean, friendly gym with new equipment and great class instructors. Extra perks of the premium membership also include bring a friend for free anytime (not for classes, hydromassage and tanning. What a great value for high quality.
To be prepared if you haven’t been, to sign up for the classes there is a machine at the gym whereby you need to sign in up to 30 minutes before class. From my understanding, Zumba classes typically fill up, but I have not had a problem with any yoga, barre, piyo, tone&sculpt, insanity or pilates classes.

I love this facility. Been coming here for 9 months since i first became a member in January. Firstly, the staff is amazing. You get greeted so warmly when you come in. As well as when you leave. Great equipment and so much of it. The icing on the cake for me is the Hydro Massage tables. Keep up the good work here and you will stay on top.

Get that old 4 star rating out of here ‘cuz Chuze at Grant & Swan is now top notch, king of the hill, pick of the litter and FIVE STAR worthy.
I had previously been a bit unsatisfied — just a bit — with Chuze as mentioned in my earlier review. But I considered the problem totally fixable. Little did I know what an ordeal Eddie the manager went through to make things right. He brought in an electrician to fix the problem of the blowing fuses in the women’s dressing room and all appeared fine. Until the next time it blew while I was getting ready for work and holding a basically dead flat iron in my hand. After notifying the staff that the problem continued and I’m sure a few more visits from the electricians, Eddie emailed me to say he feels confident the problem is fixed. Each outlet in each dressing room is now on its own circuit. Praise Jeebus! I can now feel confident that after sweating my butt off in the morning, I can now walk out of Chuze and in to my place of employment showered, shaved and shined.
I’ve since enhanced my workout experience by taking advantage of the many fitness classes offered. Classes are scheduled throughout the day, every day but being the working girl I am, I am only able to take advantage of early morning or evening classes. There is seriously a class to fit anyone’s fitness need. I’ve done Zumba, Kettle Kamp, Turbo Kick and my most favorite Tone N Sculpt. Not only is Tone N Sculpt a kick your ass and make you sweat class but it’s fun and Jason (instructor) is hilarious and motivating.
I fear that I may be turning in to gym rat. That’s a good thing, right? Because eventually I’ll be trim and svelte and able to throw down with the best of ‘em.

I’ve been going to CHUZE for 6 months. It’s nice, clean, friendly, not intimidating. Plenty of machines and treadmills. Unfortunately they don’t have Olympic bars, instead they have 3 Smith machines. It was good when I first started working out regularly, but it doesn’t offer the core and stability training a Olympic bar can give. So there’s that. They’ll tell you you can get a good workout with less injury with the Smith machine, but they certainly are not the same thing. I learned this first hand when trying to do squats and bench presses with a friend on an Olympic bar, i was so wobbly it was embarrassing. Anyways, if you don’t care about that, then this place is perfect.
Membership is cheap, only $ 10 a month. That can’t be beat. I actually go to 2 gyms now, since CHUZE is so cheap. I used CHUZE for cardio /​abs. It’d be 5 stars if it had Olympic bars.

One year later… this place is still clean, the price has not gone up, the machines all still work and I am always greeted (sometimes by name) or encouraged on my way in or out.
The whole TV thing on my last review has become a non-​issue and has actually allowed me to become reacquainted with my iPod. My only semi-​complaint is that this place has become so popular, depending on what time you arrive, the place can be packed. You may also have trouble finding parking.
Speaking of parking… I don’t understand the guy I see on the treadmill, legs pumping furiously, breathing hard and sweat pouring off him. Isn’t that the guy I saw get into his illegally parked truck just so he could get a spot closer to the door? Just sayin…
