Soft Touch Dental of Tualatin

By far the WORST customer service ever!!! Last year I had a hideous experience in their Portland office which resulted in a bad review.
I promptly received correspondence from the Dentist who was very sweet and took care of us. Fast forward one year, the next set of my sons wisdom teeth needs to be removed. I called their Tualatin office and advised them due to my work schedule I could not bring him in for 2 separate appointments and would the dentist schedule the procedure based on the fact that he has already seen him and done Xrays. I was told no. I then asked if I could have an early morning appointment and then schedule the extraction for later the same day, I again was told I could not be accommodated and if I didn’t like their policy I could go somewhere else. The «office manager» was extremely rude and argumentative. I am a single parent with no family and as a contractor employee I can’t miss work or I am not paid, so one day is bad enough. Then come to find out the original insurance referral gave permission for all 4 teeth to be done, had that been done, we wouldn’t even been dealing with this now. Very rude, discourteous and unprofessional staff. Regardless if a customer is upset, you don’t argue or speak over your customer, and if you want to stay in business, you don’t advise people to go somewhere else.
I asked to speak to the dentist so I could maybe better explain, or have him call me back, the snotty office manager then says I can leave a message but I can’t guarantee he will call you back. Total dog and pony show. I have never received such poor customer service in a dental office, nor have I encountered a business who did not try and work with and accommodate the needs of their customers. I can see it being valid if he has never been seen, but he has been seen and xrayd in the past 12 months at the same location… insane!!!

My first point of contact was with the rude front desk staff. Snippy and condescending. Then I had the worst cleaning I’d ever had. Then I was told by Dr Sadaka that I had 5 cavities. I was shocked since that was unusual. OK then, lets fix them. I went back, he tried to numb me but it didn’t work. He gave me 7 shots and still nothing. I left only to wake up with a frozen shut mouth. It took a whole month to get back to normal. I was petrified to go back so I found a new dentist.
I went to Willamette Dental and had the best reception, awesome X-​ray tech, wonderful hygienist and then Dr Blidheim tells me at my exam that I didn’t even have one cavity. You Dr Sadaka should be ashamed of yourself!!! What a crook. Patients of him: BEWARE, he is dirty handed.

Extremely rude front desk staff. They seem to actually be irritated to be answering questions about care and insurance coverage. The dentist examined me and said that I had two small cavities. On my next visit the hygienist insisted that I would need eight fillings. What gives? The general atmosphere is one of edginess. No one seems to be happy there and further more not a single staff member introduced themselves to me a new patient. I had to initiate introductions and ask their names. Very poorly trained staff in customer relations all around. I’ll be moving on to a new dentist thanks very much! Don’t you people know that the majority of your new business comes from positive referrals?

We went to the Tualatin clinic and I would feel terrible if I didn’t warn people about the staff. They were so rude from the moment we walked in the door, it was impossible to have a conversation with them. They did not do their job and advise of a form they needed prior to our visit, and then acted completely insensitive to the amount of pain my daughter was in, and that she was pregnant. Barb was especially rude and has no business working with patients. She does not have the capability to empathize. And surely does not even know what that word means. When we tried to get the needed form faxed from the ob/​gyn, Barb gave the provider the wrong number to call. I feel sorry for this dentist with a front end staff and the one dental assistant we spoke to. Please DO NOT waste your time here. You will only find frustration with a sub-​par and and totally unprofessional staff.

I honestly do not even know where to begin about this place. I went in because I have a huge fear of dentists. Their website claimed that they were all about helping people like me out. Anyway, their office seemed very sketchy, the paint is chipped, it doesn’t seem clean or sanitary really. The receptionists were not very friendly or helpful. I was about to get put to sleep and she handed me a stack of papers and all she said was «here sign these». She didn’t go through what they were for or why I was signing them, I had to figure it out on my own. They weren’t dressed very professional which isn’t a huge deal but it just added to the place not being very «neat.» Everyone who works there must not know how to talk because no one does. They say a few random words here and there but me being an obviously anxious and scared person you’d think I would get an «everything is going to be ok sweetie, you’re in good hands.» Sorry nope, no acknowledgment that I was scared. There’s always so many people there waiting to be seen and he just kind of gets through everyone super fast. too fast if you ask me, he’s practically getting out of his chair while he’s checking on you so he can move onto the next patient. After getting work done here my teeth hurt worse then when I went in. I’m not even joking. I had a crown put on and forget about eating on that side of my mouth… I have pain radiating through my jaw from the crown. It needs to be checked and I’m sure I need a root canal… but do you think I’ll go back for him to check it out?! So tomorrow I have an appointment with my husbands dentist to have him look at what has been done to my teeth by this place in the hopes of getting my pain under control. It is very obvious to say I will NOT be returning to this place. And I would advise. no I would warn you to not go to this place either.

Where to start…
I started going here because my insurance referred me and was 100% covered. I hadn’t gone to the dentist in quite some time and figured now is the time! When I first walked in to the Tualitin office the staff seemed nice and helpful but not very informative. I waited for about 45 minutes with nobody checking on me just to get my teeth cleaned. Quickly I realized how unfriendly the staff was-​when it was time to clean my teeth someone came in wo a word and started adjusting my chair and shoving a very uncomfortable piece of plastic (that cut my gums) for an X-​ray. I didn’t know what was going on. Anyway… I ended up needing quite a few cavities filled and every time I went there it was a HORRIBLE experience. They put so much Novocain in my mouth so I wouldn’t feel the massive holes they were drilling. Since this 3 of my cavities have fallen out, within 3 months-​one of them twice. I have never had so much mouth pain and sensitivity until after I started coming here. It does not seem very sanitary-​maybe they do a very quick job between customers but I really doubt it. I honestly do not know where these hygienist come, no personality and rude as can be. I had said I wanted to be sedated since it had been so long since I was at the dentist I was very nervous and sweaty and my anxiety was thru the roof but they didn’t care and did nothing to calm my nerves. I have gone to the Tualitin office as well as the one off Broadway near Lloyd Center and they are both the same. Dr. Sedaka is nice, he was super nice my first visit and has kinda gone down hill with me. I have also had the girl dentist (forgot her name) and she maybe said 4 words to me the whole time. And this isn’t even saying anything about the receptionist! They are SO RUDE! Every single one of them! I recently started having really bad sensitive tooth pain on one of my K9s and asked the lady if she could tell me if it was the one that was filled before she pretty much laughed and asked how should she know? Really!!! aren’t my records there? So I needed to make an apt asap to get this fixed and she made a big sigh and says they are only open every other saturday and certain days of the week and the next time she had open was close to a week away… whatever I’ll go to Lloyd center cause this needs to get done… she hangs up transfers me over so all a sudden there is a new lady on the phone and she’s even worse! I asked her how long my apt would be and her answer was pathetic and RUDE I ended up hanging up on her and have decided to NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! I would rather pay and not be covered then to put another penny in this dentist office’s pocket! TAKE MY WORD FOR IT… YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED!!!

Horrible experience. Took my kids there for cleanings. They both thought it was an exam but turned out to be charged for cleanings. When I asked about the service they insisted that they did cleanings. NEVER AGAIN.

I’ve been a patient at Soft Touch Dental at least for a few years I think. I always liked the main male dentist, D. Sadaka, but in the last year he hasn’t been present. So, yesterday I asked where he was and apparently he only does surgeries now for he has 5 different offices. I was very disappointed. The dentist who has been working on me recently is nice but just not as thorough and overall the appointment took less than 10 min. I like speedy appointments, but this was a little bit too speedy. They used this tool that got me pretty wet actually, didn’t check my gums, and didn’t floss at the end of cleaning. To me overall these were signs of lack of detail and attention, and I didn’t like it. So, they were great until they weren’t. So, it looks like I’ll be dentist shopping again. It is a bummer, for they are really convenient.

I’ve been nothing but pleased with Soft Touch Dental since I became a patient of theirs. The office is clean and the staff are very helpful and attentive to the needs to their patients.

i was at their né broadway office. i can’t speak for the Tualatin office.
incompetent staff. dirty office. one dentist was there with with at least 3 or 4 people sitting in chairs waiting.
after seeing the office i decided to see a different dentist and asked them to please email my records to the new office. they didn’t. they claimed they never got an email address. that was a lie. i know for a fact the new office called them and gave them the email address. barbara the office rep was extremely curt and seemed to go out of her way to be unhelpful.
when I explained that i needed the X-​RAYS emailed which takes one minute to do they said,”WELL LEGALLY WE DONT HAVE TO SEND THEM FOR 10 DAYS” just really nasty people there. I’m so glad i didn’t get any real work done there.
i highly recommend YOU DONT GO THERE!!!
