Living out in Glenshire, it is hard to get good pizza delivery. We recently ordered a large pepperoni pizza with a few added toppings and received a medium pepperoni pizza. Since we have never ordered a large pizza from Truckee Pizza we didn’t realize we got a smaller pizza and were okay with just pepperoni. I am not the type to complain about simple mistakes so we took our just pepperoni without the added toppings, even though we gave them a $ 9.00 tip. Well, about 45 minutes after we ordered our pizza and ate it, they came to our door again with the pizza we actually ordered… And they gave it to us for FREE! I have to say, sometimes they have slow delivery to our house, but they always let us know ahead of time and the pizza is always top quality. I’ve always been very impressed with Truckee Pizza and Smokey’s Kitchen. I understand the bad reviews but common! In a tourist town with many miles to cover, you’re going to get slow service sometimes. So give them a break tourists!

We were told when we walked in that the only thing they could make at the moment was a simple pizza as their cook was not there due to a scheduling snafu. We were all really hungry so we said that was fine and ordered their biggest pizza for the four adults and four kids in our party. It didn’t take long to get the pizza and it was indeed massive. The price was pretty good for the amount of food. The pizza was really good as well but a little greasy. The score would have been a little higher had we been able to sample more of the menu. The service was great as the guy behind the counter was cool and helpful. We will be coming back.

The menu is impressive, with hella options for crust and sauce. The pizza sounded amazing, but it just wasn’t. I don’t know, just lacked something in the flavor department, and I lost interest. I got the Wild Mushroom, which consists of Portobello, Bleu Cheese, Tomato, Spinach, Pine Nuts, and a Basil Oil Drizzle on white sauce. Sounds bomb! Just okay. Delivery took a bit, but it came in the hands of really hot chick delivery driver, so there’s always that.

After 1 hr 45 min we called on our order. They ‘lost our order’ and were unapologetic. Then it took another hour before the order was delivered when they said it would be there in 30 minutes. They wouldn’t even give us a discount. I asked to talk to the manager and was told he was not there. I called the managers cell phone(which his employee gave me) and left a message… No response. Well, that might explain things. Not acceptable.

We planned to pick up our pizza on our way into town and called 30 minutes in advance. When we arrived they called in the order as soon as we got there and reminded them. We waited another 30 minutes! While there, I went to the bathroom with my kids and it was FILTHY! The toilet, basin and surroundings could not have been cleaned in a month. To top it off the cooks clothing hangs in there. Management, there is no excuse for this.

Having a family who has to look for Gluten Free options I was impressed to find such a place in Truckee!!! On our way home to Sparks we stopped in and while the pizza wasn’t the«best omg pizza ever» it was by far not the worst we’ve had! The Gluten free was pretty dang good, and it’s fresh not frozen crusts like most places. It didn’t have that«gluten free taste» We will be back!

The pizza was good, not great, but good. The guy on the phone(sorry, didn’t catch his name) was very helpful and pleasant. Gave me a coupon price even though I couldn’t print it. It arrived quickly, was hot, and tasted better than most. Would order pizza from them again.

Just had a great Gluten Free pizza here at Truckee Pizza. The crust was the best GF crust I have experienced in CA. The pizza sauce was excellent as were the toppings. Definitely coming back on next trip to Tahoe.

The biggest reason I am writing this review is because they have GLUTENFREEPIZZA!!! That made me so happy when we were done riding, we were all bruised and beaten from the snow and feeling ever so lazy… Finding a meat and Gluten free option for annoying eater girl(that would be me) is not that easy when it comes to delivery/take out, especially in a tiny place like Truckee. GOTRUCKEEPIZZA! THANKSFORTHEPIZZAWITH A GLUTENFREEOPTION!!! Plus, they were super laid back and funny when we were ordering on the phone. Thumbs up.

Jeez guys, get your act together! We ordered in from here a few days ago, and it was a total disaster. We ordered spaghetti with pesto and they gave us spaghetti with sausage! Ummm… that’s NOT pesto guys! I tried to eat it anyways but it was pretty nasty. Too heavy on the fennel. And the wings were really gross, too. The chicken was dry, the skin was inedible, and the sauce was all spice, no flavor. To top it off, they told us it’d take 45 mins to an hour, but it took closer to an hour and a half. We were STARVING! The least they could do is call and tell us they’re running late. And in the end, they didn’t even bring me the pasta I ordered. Rude. Seriously.

I only ordered from here because they deliver and my car was at the shop. I didn’t want pizza so I got spaghetti with meat balls and a Cesar salad. It was not good. I don’t even know how to describe the sauce but the after taste was awful. I had order chicken on the salad and couldn’t eat that either. I was grateful for the delivery and it wasn’t too expensive $ 20.00 but I was disappointed that I spent $ 20 on food I couldn’t even eat. I haven’t tried the pizza there. Maybe I’ll do that next time

Haiku review: A swing and a miss. Crust akin to cardboard waste Trashbag burial I’m seriously striking out with my pizza joints lately. *tear*

pizza tastes good if you can ever get it. Last week we called for a pick up. We got there and were told it was on the delivery truck — great except they didn’t have an address. «No clue» was the answer on when the delivery truck would return. Called a few days later to order a pizza for pick up. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. As I was walking out the door to pick it up, they called my cell and said they didn’t have the ingredients for the pizza. I think I’m done trying them.

Here’s the gist of it… – Took over an hour to deliver to Glenshire. – All pizzas were lacking flavor.(How does cheese not have flavor?) Had to put salt on it. Sauce was invisible – Crust had the taste and texture of cardboard – Cost for 3 pizzas + delivery = $ 73! For this price, I’d rather hit Peluso’s for fabulous pizza or even good ol’ Nik & Willy’s for that delightfully fluffy crust. Truckee Pizza is trying to fill a void in Truckee which I appreciate. The lack of effort is completely disappointing.

Having been in Truckee my whole lile I can tell you there is no shortage of pizza places and I really didn’t think we needed another one. My husband had been here and said it was good. I don’t know the name of what we ordered for an office lunch, but it was the one with pine nuts and it was awesome! Who would have thought to put pine nuts on a pizza! The only draw back was that I paid for a 2 liter soda and they forgot to give it to us and our receptioninst who was picking up forgot to get it. We called and they said they would credit my card, but didn’t. I will go there again and when I do, I’ll ask for that 3 bucks back and see what happens.

Had a slice of pizza for lunch — really, really tasty sauce and a nice thin, crunchy crust(they have other crust options I didn’t try). I ordered the Chiquita Caliente which has Jack and blue cheese and was a really unique flavor combination. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of pizza ever! I’ll definitely be back and they’ll get upgraded to 5 start if they are consistently this good.

Being a new business in such a small town you would think first impressions are huge. Well, its because they are. Here is what I think. OK pizza, Good price(with a coupon), SLOW delivery. The part that bugs me is, don’t tell me I’ll have a pizza in 30 – 40 mins when its going to take twice as long. Just be honest.
