Unlike a previous reviewer, I rented directly from the owner and had no issues at all, and felt like I got a fair price.
The house is very nice and was perfect for our family weekend. Kitchen is very nice, and the log beds in the bedrooms are a nice touch. House was very clean. We’d definitely stay here again. The back porch is my favorite part.

I stayed here last winter with my Fiancé’. This was exactly what we were looking for. Romantic, great location, nice kitchen, comfortable, great deck, clean and inviting. We loved the fantastic fireplace as well.
Casetta di Montagna is near great ski resorts, bars, and restaurants. You will not be disappointed with this serene getaway. We plan on coming back as soon as possible.

Be careful not to rent direct from the owner. You’ll have unforeseen charge and don’t expect your deposit back. Not all at least.
We were canned for using Curtains in the closet to cover windows and doors that had none to start with.
Clean up fees for crap that had nothing to do with us. I thought we saved a little by undercutting the agency but ended up not saving much after we almost lost our deposit and had to fight to get it just partial back.

What a great weekend! The house was perfect! Tons of friends all tucked into cozy bedrooms, some with King beds apparently! The kitchen can handle all those friends with ease, big bathrooms keep ‘em all squeaky clean, the garage is perfect for unloading all your gear out of the weather and the back deck looks like summer waiting to happen. Heading back soon!

I recently stayed her on a girls weekend getaway. What a great house~loved it! The accomdations were very comfortable. The kitchen was modern, clean and offered everything we needed.
The location was perfect and close to pretty much everything we needed and wanted to do.
I’m planning a family weekend trip early this summer and this is the place that I will return to. I truly had a great time!
Highly recommended.

What a dream! Not only is this wonderful Tahoe home close to all of my favorite resorts in North Shore it’s incredibly convenient to Safeway and downtown Truckee.
The home is clean and inviting, the designer kitchen is built out after any chef’s heart, the open layout is perfect for groups yet private enough for quiet time if needed and that master bedroom has the most amazing king mattress I’ve ever enjoyed, it made it very tempting to stay in bed just a bit too long!
I cannot wait to come back to Casetta di Montagna for another Tahoe getaway.

The Truckee location is perfect for its proximity to all the best ski resorts as well as for Truckee’s bars and restaurants. Truckee is lovely! The house is absolutely gorgeous, spacious and tastefully decorated. I particularly love the log beds; the remote controlled fireplace is pretty sweet too. And wireless internet makes it perfect for those of us who can «work from home» during the week. I am definitely coming back to Casetta this winter and hopefully also this summer — to take advantage of that huge deck!
