Luma Laser and MedSpa

I started going to Luma after trying out 2 other places with very little result. Luma is by far the best place for laser hair removal. The results are incredible. I just took a week-​long beach trip and didn’t even pack a razor… hello!!! They are extremely thorough and very knowledgeable with the equipment. Everyone there is also very friendly and Rana and her staff provide VIP treatment the whole way. I have also started using Luma for Botox now and will continue to use only Luma from now on. Re: Botox, I have tried several places in the past and I have definitely gotten the greatest results from Luma. Again, they know what they’re doing, and also, they use fresh product.

This place is beyond professional. Rana and her crew exceed my expectations each time I go in. Her hands are magic, she’s so detailed and careful, I feel like I’m her only client. I’ve had horrible experience in the past and was hesitant to go even try a new place but I’m glad I chose this one. Even after one laser treatment, I noticed a huge difference. Now after six, I feel so confident about my skin. It didn’t scab, burn or turn ten different shades of black like my previous experiences. Definitely would recommend this place and have to a few friends and they too agree about their work.

This place is wonderful. The service is top-​notch and their prices are extremely reasonable. I just love Renee, and Lisa is always my preferred esthetician! She’s very professional and energetic — it’s refreshing. They’re just so kind and comforting — they treat you like family! The spa is always very clean, welcoming, fresh, and calming. I am always beyond satisfied with the results of their work. I come here for both laser and waxes monthly. They’re quick but careful. I have found my forever MedSpa!

Great service. I started doing Brazilian wax and decided to do Brazilian laser. Best choice ever! Now I got a LPL package and my face is showing great improvements. They service is great, prices are reasonable and great quality of work. Very much recommended.

If you want to be pampered and feel like a VIP, do yourself a favor and visit this place. From facials and massages to laser hair removal, this place is a one stop shop for busy women who love to take care of themselves. The main reason I love this place is for the laser hair removal, I have had great results so far and it’s well worth every dollar. Facials are amazing too, just give it a try and you won’t regret it.

I came here today with a Livingsocial deal. It was my first time getting this kind of wax so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I chose this place because of the deal and it’s down the street from me, and I had been emailing with the owner before my appointment (actually how I made the appointment) who gave me some tips.
The place is small but nice. Lauren was my (esthetician?) and very professional. After the appointment, the (owner, I think) of the place said I could come back for a complimentary touchup sometime next week, which I was very impressed with. She also gave me a coupon for my next time there.
(they also had Lindt chocolates up front for the customers — bonus! Lol. Yes, I’m a chocoholic.)
The only downside I can think of is that they’re only open 9 – 5 most days, I think Tuesdays might be till 7 or so though.
I really liked Luma and will be back again sometime soon.

I went in for a wax and felt relaxed as soon as I walked in. The esthetician was extremely nice and made me feel very comfortable. This is the only place I will ever go and I recommend it to all of my friends.

I went into Luma Laser and MedSpa for a massage and it was very relaxing. The Spa is beautiful and tranquil. I recommend this spa for anyone needing to pamper themselves and relieve stress.

I’ve been struggling with finding the perfect solution to remove unwanted hair. I was always afraid to try laser, just in case something went wrong. My sister had a few treatments at Luma Laser and finally convinced me to give it a try because her experience was so incredibly positive and the spa is so welcoming.
I decided to take the plunge and start my laser journey. It was much better than I anticipated. Not only did I need less treatments than I expected, the staff was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable. The technician knew exactly what she was doing and the beat treatment package for me. She explained everything in detail before my first treatment began, which eased any reservations I previously had. The treatment was quick an easy. Now I’m hair free and never have to sorry about shaving again. Not only is that a huge time saver, it’s a money saver as well. That is vital when you’re a busy mom.
I’m so pleased with my experience and recommend Luma Laser and MedSpa to everyone. I’ve also learned they offer laser for those with hyper-​pigmentation. A friend of mine chose Luma Laser specifically because of this.

After posting my reviews I decided to read the other reviews. Only 1 gave a 1 star so I looked into it a bit further. It appears the account to was only created to leave bad reviews for businesses. How sad.

I got a Brazilian Wax today. I did use a Groupon so I’m very aware that I didn’t pay full price for my service. The esthetician that serviced me was VERY nice and made everything so comfortable! Don’t get me wrong. the staff was wonderful and welcoming. After I had gotten home, I noticed that there was a lot of hair left here and there. not little baby hairs that blend in that she might not have been able to see. Actual, grown hair. and some hair that were left over as well. I feel as though I can trim as well as she did so there’s no point of paying. I’m not completely striking them off the list. but I also am not going back immediately to them either!
Update:
The owner of Luma does follow up calls on new customers which she did do. called me and I told her I was dissatisfied with my experience and she tried her very best to try to make it better for me before my trip but unfortunately I was leaving the next morning. She did offer for me to come back in and I did.
So August 26^th,
I went in, Jennifer was my esthetician and she did a good job. I obviously had a much better experience than my first time. but none the less, ANYthing and anyone would have and could have done better than my first time!
I do have to say the owner is on top of her game and knows how to keep her client happy.
October 16– They say third times the charm! Everything was taken care of and given great treatment. Suggestions for ingrown hairs and how they can help me take care of it. Super helpful.

I discovered Luma Laser and MedSpa because I purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian Wax. Booking an appointment was easy. I arrived and was greeted like an old friend, truly exceptional customer service.
I have very sensitive skin! Luma uses a high quality wax (from Europe I believe) which seemed to grab the hair better. No breakout afterwards either!
After talking further with the owner, I am now getting laser hair removal treatments with their specialty laser — works on light (blond) hair. So far so good, two treatments and a definite reduction.
I have recommended this spa to a number of friends because of the fantastic customer service and value.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. Groupon serves as a sort of advertisement for businesses. I try many businesses for the first time because of Groupon. So why are these employees rude to Groupon customers? Long story short, whoever I spoke to on the phone each time I called was rude and short with me. I didn’t have any crazy requests and didn’t raise my voice or give attitude like they did. I am going to be out the money I paid for the Groupon just so I don’t have to deal with the people at this establishment. Good luck if you bought a Groupon (if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, your Groupon is void-​regardless of the reason).
Update: Minutes after I posted my review, the owner tried to call me twice and left a THREE minute voicemail telling me that «there is such a thing as God» and «there is such a thing as karma» for canceling three hours before my appointment. She repeated over and over that I was «very rude.» Obviously, if you feel the need to call and harass a customer, you did something wrong that you feel you need to defend. You got your money for the Groupon, let it go. The owner did originally offer to reschedule my appointment due to matters out of my hands but was very short and rude when she offered a new time so I replied that I would simply take the fee for the Groupon and not reschedule because I didn’t appreciate the way I was being spoken to. She mentioned this on the voicemail– saying that I was rude for hanging up after saying «you know what, I will just swallow the money for the Groupon and I’m not going to reschedule. Thank you.» Will be contacting the BBB. This is unacceptable and I will not stand for being harassed by a business owner that has already gotten my money. Absolutely unprofessional.

I bought a groupon for a Brazilian Wax and booked my appointment. The spa was very nice and relaxing on the inside. The aesthetician was very friendly but after my first appointment there were patches of hair that had been missed. I do have some lighter hairs so I realize that this was part of the problem.
I went back in a second time to have it touched up and they did a very thorough job. I will definitely go back for future waxing needs.

I found out about this place thru a groupon. It’s always hard to trust people with your personal matters, especially a brazilian wax. But this aesthetician was really friendly and made me feel comfortable. She saw me, even on such short notice! First thing she did was ask if I wanted anything to drink, and suggested if it’s caffeinated it might be better to wait until the end. Being conscious of germs and such, it was refreshing to see someone clean down and sanitize the room before I went in. She made it quick and less painful then I’m used to (which I was happy about). I also appreciated how she did not double dip. And at the end of it, she remembered to bring me my hot tea which made my short experience that much better and leave feeling like I had just been pampered. I’ll definitely be going back again!

Professional and personable, I find their services to offer the best of both worlds. Rightfully, I was nervous about trying out the laser services, but they took the time to educate me and make me feel like no unique case is beyond their expertise. I highly recommend it for the laser, but I tried the facial once and it was the first time I didn’t have a reaction as a result. Instead, I felt like years have been given back to my skin. Their beauty line is all organic and natural and my skin has been loving it. Will be going back for the photo facial next as well as more laser treatments, until I am all hair-​free :)
