Fun place, great atmosphere, excellent drinks. Plenty aren’t on the menu. Just ask the bartender. Happy Hour 4 to 7 half of drinks.

I really wanted to like this place but the customer service from our server just killed it. We came in here not knowing it was half off wine night, and was ecstatic. The vibes and décor of the place was great.
Our server took our order and brought out our drinks fairly fast. The only thing was that she kept forgetting things like our glass of water and cup of ice. We reminded we her over five times and she continued to forget. The same thing happened when our food came out and she forgot condiments we been asking for. After we almost finished she then asked if we still wanted it our side and we replied yes. She proceeded with an eye roll and things just got awkward after.
The vibes here were great. The drinks you could never go wrong with. The food wasn’t great. The service was def nothing special to come back here for.

We hosted our couples baby shower here, yes — at a bar! It was absolutely perfect! Having traveled in from out of state (both originally from TC) it was the ideal location for guys and gals to gather and celebrate. Everyone loved the atmosphere — it was so laid back and casual, the facility has rustic charm that really did not need any decorations, a plus when traveling.
The food and staff were incredible! Everything was delicious and fresh, the mac-​n-​cheese and cheesecake bites were some of the favorites but every item we had was exceptional. I’m told the drinks were great too, from the non-​alcoholic side I can confirm the drinks were tasty– fresh strawberry lemonade, yum!
Cannot say enough positive things about Jason, The Parlor staff and the facility. Would highly recommend for any private gathering. Wish we lived closer, we would go here often!

I have been to the Parlor on two occasions, both private work parties. The drinks here are amazing, using fresh ingredients and made freshly in front of you. The bartenders are very knowledgeable on their liquors and beers, along with wines. I tried many of their specialty drinks, and they were all very delicious. The food that we had was delicious also. Great atmosphere– rustic yet chic. Will be going back

Love this place!!! The drinks are amazing– the cucumber mint vodka infused water is strong without tasting strong. My fiancé loves blackberry smash.

I can’t get enough of this place. well during happy hour that is. They have a great ½ off drinks happy hour and the drinks are delish! I am a typical vodka soda type girl but man, I love their gin tarragon lemonade and the vodka with infused waters! They have all sorts of unique cocktails and at the happy hour price you just can’t beat it. Trust me, you should go and venture outside of your typical bar drink you won’t be disappointed (and if you are, let me know, I’ll come finish your drink)

Waited 15 mins during Happy Hour to get a drink– waited 27 mins to place food order? Waiter never came back in time for us to get another drink during Happy Hour– gotta wonder do they do that on purpose? Food was good but over priced for portion sizes– they have a good thing going here but it needs some tweaking

Yes, if you like handmade mixed drinks with quality ingredients, and good live music, in a cool post urban space, the this is it. Otherwise try Chilis.

The best part about this place, aside from the great cocktails, is its location and staff.
Location: A few blocks from the main drag, this place is less touristy, less crowded, and more casual. «Parlor» is an appropriate name, as the atmosphere of this place is more life a lounge than a crowded bar.
Staff: The staff is super friendly, engaging, and happy. They enjoy working with each other and enjoy making customers feel welcome and involved. I went to Traverse solo and left with some friends from this place. Made the trip more delightful.
Drinks: They got it all: top shelf, hipster cocktails, local creations, seasonal flavors. Lots to enjoy!

While the atmosphere is very cool and the drinks were great, we had some pretty terrible service the other night. Our waitress started off great, took our drink orders, brought our drinks. Even though we had to go up to the bar and ask for water and then eventually ask a busboy for water because she forgot all the waters. Then we placed a food order. There was 9 of us and she didn’t write a single order down. Now, maybe she has one of those super memories but there’s no shame in writing anything down… especially with the party our size. Well, one pizza came out… and then a burger which was ordered 10 minutes after everybody else’s food. The waitress came back out and kept giving excuses as to why the food wasn’t coming out in a timely fashion. Her exact words «it’s in the window right now.» What does she do? Walks the other way and helps another table. If some of our food was in the window right now, why wouldn’t she go grab it? Eventually, a very nice gentleman, which we assume was the bar manager came over, profusely apologized and said it had appeared a cook had walked out on them. Well, that we understand but why she had to give excuse after excuse is beyond us and she even started to get a little bit of attitude with us when asking questions and we started canceling orders (we had to be somewhere at 8 and it was now 7:52…45 minutes after we placed our orders). After the bar manager brought us all of our food, we never saw her again. Never came to check on us, nothing. He even told us she’s not really a server, then why is she serving a party of our size, let alone serving at all? The food was decent, but it shouldn’t have taken that long to cook up. One girl ordered a hummus plate and she was the very last to get it. It made no sense whatsoever. The burger came out before hummus… how does that work? I don’t foresee myself returning anytime soon. There are a ton of other great places in the area I’d rather go to. I just hope the manager uses this as a tool to train his staff properly. The way they were running around was as if they had 80 people in the place all ordering food. Not the case at all.

Stopped in last night right before close and Connor was kind enough to allow us to come in for last call. I ordered the smoke stack with Basil Haydens and not only was it awesome watching him make it, it was delicious. I work at a bar and I know how staff unwinds at the end of the night. Connor was super professional about everything and didn’t seem annoyed that we were the last ones there. He was very knowledgeable and made me an awesome drink.

Good drinks but a little on the expensive side. Our bartender was great and personable. Very nice atmosphere which makes up for the expense to an extent. When we go back it will be during happy hour.

As a local, I have been taking out of town guests here for happy hour. Great drinks, interesting food, fairly priced. However, after last Monday’s experience, I won’t. We arrived about 8:30 pm to have a drink and eat dinner. Although there were few people present, we had to get up and find a servers every time we wanted to order. About 9, after finishing our drinks, we tried to order food, only to be told the kitchen closed at 9. We asked why she hadn’t told us the kitchen was closing soon when we arrived. She admitted that they sent the cook home at 8 because they weren’t busy.
We were told we could order from the Rare Bird’s menu as they are located in the same building. Our food arrived 90 minutes later, absolutely cold. When we politely complained that the food was cold the answer was simply that Rare Bird was slammed. More likely, we were forgotten once again and when we did ask where the food was, the server picked up the food which had likely been cooked an hour ago. Poor service when a place is busy is understandable. This was not.

Outrageously expensive. Not for the person who likes their money more than being in «the place to be seen.»
Only go during happy hours when food and drinks are normally priced.

I bumped into this place while trying to find the Big Toe Brewery on the ale trail. Big Toe no longer exists but the Parlor had a nice crowd. It is situated in what appears to be an old barn but there is a warm feel inside. Nice bar, some high tops with chairs and couches/​lounge chairs as well. I found The Parlor to be comfortable. The staff was friendly and eager to serve. The prices were a bit high though. The entertainment was unique. There was a piano player who gave the place a nice touch of atmosphere. On one wall was a projection of a silent movie with German subtitles? Baseball game on the TV over the bar. A wide range of things to keep your interest. Standard beer selections. Wide range of liquor. Overall a decent place, I likely will give it another try… once I brush up on my German.

As someone who is picky about a mojito, big props to The Parlor for doing it right!
Great ambiance with live music (currently an acoustic guitar duo) and old black-​and-​white movies being projected on the wall.

There are four people working tonight and only one earnings her pay. The three guys are worthless. One is drinking as he makes drinks, one is barely catching one table every 10 min, and one eating with friends sitting at the bar with him. The music was very good, and the old movies playing provided a nice atmosphere but the owner is loosing dollars left and right with the help she or he has.
