THE WORST car service EVER. It was unbelievable how rude the owner, Bill, was… he cursed at me and hung up. The driver, another Bill, was no better. He was condescending to me over the phone and left my client at the airport because he couldn’t find him. When I told him he shouldn’t leave his vehicle, he told me I better not tell him how to do his job and hung up on me as well! The only saving grace was a lady dispatcher who was able to get Bill to come back to the airport and pick up my client who had now been waiting for almost 2 hrs!!! Literally THE WORST car service I’ve ever dealt with. Save yourself the trouble and just walk to wherever you need to go!

CONDESCENDING AND RUDE. If I could give zero stars I would. My little sister got a quote on Saturday for transportation for her wedding and called to confirm on Monday. The wedding coordinator doubled the price. My mother said «I should have booked on Saturday» his reply was «yea guess you should have».

If Unilocal would let me leave zero stars, I would have. By the Bay Shuttle left me and my young child stranded at the airport at midnight. I had reserved a shuttle, however they did not show up, leaving us stranded, alone, at the airport in the middle of the night (looong after every single other passenger at the airport had left). We had been traveling all day from our home in California, only to arrive at the Traverse City Airport with no shuttle, and not knowing a soul in Michigan. By The Bay’s ‘emergency phone number’ was forwarded to their main office phone number, which is only manned during the daytime. So I could not reach a real person. It took us over an hour and a half to find another cab service with a driver available take us to Glen Arbor in the middle of the night. I strongly do NOT recommend using this shuttle service.

Used for my wedding to shuttle guests/​wedding party to venue and back to hotels. Overall pleasant to deal with but some hiccups occurred day of wedding that I would have liked more communication on their ends from.

I booked a wine tour a few weeks ago for my boyfriend and I. The entire experience from beginning to end was great. Booking the appointment was easy and informative. They pick you up from your hotel and drop you back off there. Our driver, Dave, was extremely accommodating and friendly. He was very relaxed and open to wherever we wanted to go. We also got little packs with water, crackers, cookies and chocolate. Being gluten free, I couldn’t part take of most of that, but it was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in a wine tour.

Used By the Bay for a private wine tour and transportation for a bridal shower. There was some confusion with the booking but once I called it was cleared up right away. They offer a fun scavenger hunt for a bride to be that everyone enjoyed. I’m not from the area of Traverse City so I was stressing about choosing locations, but they were more than happy to help for the wine tour and our night out. They made sure we went to places that would fit our tastes and occasion.
The driver was a very friendly guy, and was more than helpful. He stayed near by and did all the work for us. It was a trip we all just got to relax, enjoy and drink. I will definitely be using them again if/​when we go back.

Reserved the shuttle bus for the public wine tour with two girlfriends. The driver was very professional and great for accommodating our wine tastings. This is my second time using their shuttle service, and would use them again! Highly recommend.

I flew a colleague and two clients out to Traverse City airport for a Police Training at the Shanty Creek Resort (about an hours drive away). None had every been out that way before, so I asked the Resort Concierge if they could recommend a car service and they mentioned ‘By the Bay’.
When I called, I spoke with «Debbie» who was polite and efficient; something I appreciated especially since I placed the request for pick-​up/​drop off last minute.
I would totally use them again if we send clients out to that part of the country.

hired By the Bay for my wedding transportation. there was only one place on the list and they got it wrong. Prior to my wedding they mixed my up with another client 3 different times and they got our wedding date wrong on 4 contracts. After talking to them over 10 times on the phone they still got it wrong… not impressed

We hired the shuttle service to take us around one of the Traverse City peninsulas for a wine tour. We thought the driver did a very good job in keeping us on time and getting us to as many wineries as time allowed. He was also very pleasant and professional. We had to pay a little extra, but we were staying at a B&B about 9 miles out of town and they still was able to come out and pick us up so we wouldn’t have to have a DD on the wine tour.
The driver also called ahead to one winery to have a special tasting in one of the cellar rooms. It was really helpful since the place was packed when we arrived and allowed us to get right in. It also gave us a dedicated server allowing us more questions and tastings.
