Martha’s Cakes

I have purchased several homemade cakes and know how one should taste when it is fresh. I have to say I decided to purchase a cake after reading all the good reviews but was deeply disappointed after tasting the cake. It was one of two, either a miss because it was dry or it was an old cake. I do have to admit that the decoration was amazing! Overall, it was an ok cake.

Just like everyone here i found Martha on Unilocal and was very impressed not just with the GREAT way her and her husband make you feel like family, the pictures of the beautiful cakes shes made but also with all her GREAT reviews… So i decided to have my moms 60^th birthday cake made with Martha. Just like i hoped it was not just beautiful but it was delicious! It was all everyone was talking about… It even made my mom cry, so that means alot… So i can definitely say i was VERY pleased! I already have 3 more cakes lined up! Thank you so much Mrs. Martha!!!

I absolutely loved the curious George cake Martha made for my sons 2^nd birthday. Not only did it turn out perfectly, but it was incredibly tasty. I thought the price was very fair considering the amount of detail she put into the cake. She exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely use her services again. Martha was kind and pleasant from start to finish and I highly recommend her, she is has a real talent for what she does.

I found Martha on Unilocal.She exceeded my expectations with this cake! Not only was it beautifully designed but super moist delicious Red velvet cake w/​cream cheese filling that wasn’t overpowering. The price was reasonable. Martha bakes out of her home which is extremely professional. Paying electronically was a breeze!

My review is a little late (May Service) But Martha is a five star definitely!!! I loved her service it was actually my first time and she totally filled my expectations her customer service is awesome as well… I had a first communion event and she made me this beautiful cross cookies, marble cupcakes, and cross chocolate lollipops I personally tried the cupcakes which were very moist and delicious I will definitely recommend her and will use in the near future again

Martha’s Cakes are incredible! I threw my parents a 35^th wedding anniversary party on Saturday, and had a baby shower for my sister-​in-​law on Sunday! Martha provided the goodies at both events and they were fantastic! I sent Martha a photo of my parents original wedding cake, and she recreated it perfectly! My parents were so surprised and so pleased with the end results! We had cupcakes that matched the cake which were equally as amazing! Delicious and perfectly detailed!
On Sunday, we surprised my sister-​in-​law with amazing cupcakes at her turtle-​themed baby shower! They were perfect! They were equally as delicious as they were perfectly detailed with little turtles on top!

Martha is awesome. Martha made my parents 50^th Anniversary tier cake and it was beautiful.
We changed the designs many times and she was fine with it and always had a smile on her face.
Her husband is also very nice. Great people.
The cakes are delicious… Many choices to choose from and she does it all.

Martha did an amazing job on my sons cake. I went to her a week before there birthdays and she was so sweet and very welcoming. She did a great job and so worth every penny!

Martha is extremely talented, her work is amazing. I ordered a cake for my sons birthday, it was whip cream but it looked like fondant of how clean and neat her work is. She does more than you expect. She is amazing and not only was it beautiful but it tasted amazing. Everyone loved the cake. Piña colada and red velvet are delish. The appointments are in her home don’t feel hesitant her husband and her make you feel very welcomed. The best cakes are here. This women is very very talented and professional.

I ordered a cake & cupcakes for my son’s 1^st birthday! First, the order was perfect. Second, the cakes were super moist & so tasty. Everyone at the party raved about how good they were. Martha is a great person to work with & takes a lot of pride in her work!

Martha is wonderful, and so are her cake creations! I came to Martha with some rough ideas and some images from the internet for a smash cake and cupcakes for my son’s 4^th birthday, we were doing a «magic» theme. She worked with me to get just the cake design that I wanted, and what she came up with was better than the pictures we used as a model (see photos of the finished cakes). The result was not only perfectly and professionally done in appearance, but all my guests remarked on how delicious the chocolate cake with vanilla cream was, and especially how the cupcakes were just as moist and yummy, and matched the composition of the smash cake. Martha was wonderful in guiding the process and was always cost conscious, the result was better than I had envisioned. She went above and beyond, loaning me a cupcake stand and even delivering them to my home as a favor since I live within a couple of miles the morning of the party. I will use Martha in the future, and cannot recommend her highly enough. Thanks, Martha!

Martha is amazing! Calling and making an appt was easy, we collaborated on ideas for my sons cake (Spiderman) and it was beautiful (she even did some last minute adjustments). The design was flawless and the taste was amazing. I am definitely ordering again from her. Super sweet and talented lady.

Martha makes the greatest cakes. they are not ONLY beautiful they taste amazing. she is so full of love, makes you feel so comfortable, and ENJOYS what she does. she is very organized, listens to everything you need, and is so PATIENT — thank you for making my 38^th birthday so memorable– every time some looks at my birthday pictures I get at least one comment for every view «look at that cake» — :-)

Meant to do a follow up review sooner, but if you read my original post, you’ll see I’m a habitual procrastinator…
Despite the front of the cake getting a little smudged in transport (my dad was holding the cake box in his lap and bumped it on an abrupt stop…), I would go to Martha again in the future.
The cupcakes were a tad dry, but still had a great flavor. The smash cake, that my son didn’t smash so I was able to enjoy, was so moist and delicious! Even a couple days after, it was still extremely moist. Thanks, Martha for taking my short time order and for surprising me by decorating the cupcakes with chocolate Nemos :)

Martha is absolutely awesome! She took my order on super short notice when other local bakers were turning me away. She exceeded my expectations! Not only was the cake BEAUTIFUL it tasted AMAZING! I ordered a chocolate cake with fresh strawberries. My 2 yr old was ecstatic when he saw his Elmo themed cake! I would definitely recommend Martha and am now a long term customer. You will not be disappointed!

Ordered a Toy Story birthday cake for my grandson’s 3^rd birthday. The cake was BEAUTIFUL, and received many ooos and awwws. But the best part was it tasted as delicious as it looked. The marble cake was moist, the custard filling delicious… and the frosting was great without being too sweet like the supermarket cakes always are ! I highly recommend Martha ! THank-​you for the great cake Martha, I’ll be back for more in the future !
P. S. I had to give the leftover cake away to guests because I knew if I took it home with me I would gain twenty pounds, because I would of eaten every last piece, it was that good…

Martha has great cakes at great prices she’s made me 3 cakes my favorite is chocolate cake with fresh strawberries. Today brought white cake with pinneaple and coconut filling everyone loved it wished I’d ordered a bigger one. I will be ordering my 4^th cake next week and really excited to try new flavors
