Last day or java makers. Favorite place to get hot chocolate. Better and cheaper than Starbucks. I’m going to miss this place.

I love going to local coffee shops in any city. Their coffee is fabulous. I absolutely love their hot«Mixed Up Cow.» it’s also served blended(which is also totally delish). not a big fan of a super chocolatey blended beverage? Get a «Blended Cow». that’s delicious too. My husband and I are regulars and it’s our weekend pit stop. Great environment! owner is behind the counter whipping up some baked goodies and providing reinforcement where it’s needed. Overall, great place to have a coffee and occasional pastry or bagel.

The service at this place is horrible! I’m pretty sure the girls serving me were hung over or sleep deprived. My drink was made very bitter and gross. And when I asked them to add more pumps of vanilla, I was charged extra with unnecessary attitude.

I’m not sure if I’ve never ventured to this shopping center looking for a coffee shop, or what. But this place is located very close to my house! I came on here, looking for suggestions of coffee shops that were open on Sunday(since almost all of downtown is closed on Sundays). This spot came up and I decided to try it. When I got there, it was in the afternoon. I was surprised at how many food options they had to choose from. Anything from fruit, muffins, croissants and quiche. I wasn’t hungry for any food though, just some coffee. They have a large selection of blended drinks, which are the kind of drinks I like. I decided to go with the blended cow, which is a mix of milk chocolate and white chocolate flavors. The drink was really good. The service is efficient, but like others have said… they don’t go out of their way to be friendly. But it’s fine for ordering some coffee. A couple of times after, I’ve ordered a bagel. One, I really liked(I believe it was an asiago), the other I really didn’t like(I have no clue what it was). Overall, positive experience multiple times, especially if you’re looking for a non-Starbucks coffee shop that’s open on a Sunday in Tracy.

The Mexi-Blast made me feel like I was drinking my abuelitas chocolate when I was a little girl! I love it! Delish! The service is great and next I want to try the red bull blast.

One of the best coffee shops in the Valley. If you’re tired of Starbucks try this place out. Their polar bear is awesome. The only thing that sucks is that they closed the one in Manteca, but whenever I’m in Tracy I’ll stop by here. You won’t regret trying this place out.

The food here is amazing. I come here because they have the best coffee unlike the bajillion other starbucks in town. BUT the service is HORRIBLE. Every time I come in the employees are rude and bitchy. Most of the ladies in the morning are old and seem to not be happy to be at work. And when the teenage girls work, it’s just as bad. They are really passive aggressive and you feel like your wasting their time just giving your order. When they take my order, they talk to me like I’m 5. I feel like I’m back in high school, all the ladies give you weird looks and when they talk to you, it’s like they have something else better to do and belittle me with their tone like I should know so much about coffee. I’m really getting tired of it. If I didn’t love the coffee so much and if I didn’t live so close, I would NOT make any effort to come here. ALSO, don’t get any of the bagels with cheese on top. They put way too much in the center when they bake them and they are extremely greasy. Just stick to a plain. Their dessert are also really yummy.

The coffee tasted like a poor version of Starbucks. If I wanted SB I would have gone there. The staff was not friendly and should wear shirts that do not have holes in them. The blasting county music was also a tragic event. Will not being going here again

We’re huge fans of this spot! Their coffee is quality and service is decent. Wish we lived closer, because I’d pick Java Makers over Starbucks any day. We haven’t tried any pastries, but everything looks great.

First tried Javamakers on Grantline, then I found out there was another… This is the last one standing! Love their drinks! No comparing to Starbucks!

I would have to say better than Starbucks. The avalanche drink is good and not to sweet. It’s like a mocha frap but just the right amount of sweetness haha.

This is a small neighborhood coffee shop located in a shopping center in south Tracy. I first came here a couple years back when I had moved to the area and enjoyed it so I thought I would give it another shot today. I liked the ambiance when I walked in. Small town feel with little bistro tables and the smell of coffee whirling in the air. I was looking for a hot drink and I was a little bummed that their menu for hot drinks was pretty basic. I asked the staff for recommendations for something new but they didn’t really have any suggestions. I decided to try the Mexican Mocha since it would be a break from standard coffee. The Mocha was okay, not really what I was expecting and it was VERY chocolaty. The price point was reasonable — $ 3.35 for a 16 oz mocha and an additional .75¢ for Soy Milk. I also got the breakfast burrito that was on special for $ 3.00. The burrito comes with sausage, eggs, cheese & potatoes — 50¢ extra for sides(ea) of Jalapeño’s Salsa or Sour Cream. The burrito was good, generous on the cheese which made it delicious. I got salsa & sour cream on the side which cost me an extra dollar. I should have asked that they just put it in the burrito because it just came in little cups. I had to add it in as I ate because I didn’t want to rip the burrito apart by trying to put it in myself. Also, I’m pretty sure that the salsa is Pace Picante sauce and shouldn’t be 50¢ extra, it should just come with the burrito. I posted a couple photos of the burrito on the page.

This is one of the only places you can get fresh pastries in town and they taste good, really good. They also have banana cake, which is so delicious. The coffee beverages they serve here seem best suited for someone who likes really sweet drinks. I don’t order coffee for that reason alone. The frustrating part about coming here is the long lines most of the time and slow service. It sometimes feels like too many cooks in the kitchen. I really dislike seeing upwards of 6 people behind the counter, yet still having to wait 10+ minutes for my order. I guess I just have to deal with it because I like their product and at this point there isn’t much competition in town. *I posted a pic of my bagel I ordered the other day. Normally they slap what feels like 3 ounces of cream cheese on your bagel. I decided to ask for light cream cheese to avoid having to scrape off ¾ and throw it in the trash. What I received was a burnt bagel with cream cheese that was comical. This just goes back to my point-there is one guy that is just there for bagels so why isn’t it done right???

I should have heeded the Unilocal reviews but there were so many 5 stars I took a chance(The reviewers must be regulars or their friends.) The store is located in a strip mall but this is like a grandma’s back porch. The décor has a dated albeit home like feel. Odd shaped layout with two couches and 7 – 8 small tables and one restroom. It has lots of handwritten signs and price tags. Nothing wrong with it but not as professional and distracting. It was lunch time on a Sunday. I was tempted to try food but the real problem is the flies everywhere! There were people ordering food and the flies were all over the prep area. Yuck. No thanks. The young woman ringing people up was not happy to be there. No smile, welcome or do you want drinks or lunch? etc. She rang me up and took my order and money but nothing more. Lastly, the coffee was indeed watered down. So, I won’t be back. Chains beat this place hands down.

Their coffee is good as well, they have several to choose from. I am a huge fan of the french toast bagel. OMG. Now I will have to try some lunch items.

This is a great locally owned coffee shop. Actually they are much more then just coffee, they do in house bakery, catering and sandwiches. If you are a regular they will start making your beverage as soon as they see you pull up in your car.

I would have given 5 starts but they serve weak coffee. We came for the bagels. Really good bagel sandwiches! Plus they get an extra star for letting me have the wireless password so I could use the internet to submit some important documents! Thanks!!!

This place is good if you like your coffee watered down. I’ve tried their boldest roast many times hoping one day I will taste some robust… hmmm…bold? Really? The set up is a bit awkward with their food/pastry displays placed at two different ends of the café and another one behind the counter. Their registers(or ordering counter) tucked behind both sides of the espresso machine is confusing. A bit chaotic and disorganized when you’re in there during the morning rush. I did give an extra star for their pastry selection. The only reason why I keep coming back. The muffins are humungous and are so moist and fresh. The croissants are flaky and very filling. A good assortment of bagels too. I will come in just for a pastry fix to go with my coffee I brewed from home.

The only place to get a coffee! Oh and the pastries are out of this world. The best part is the staff, warm, friendly and remember you with a smile. Great price for a cup of coffee, what it should be.
