In-Shape Fit: Tracy

I have called to find out about signing up for the club and requested information about $ 10 a month plan and it happened twice that they took my number and never called back. Not sure if they don’t care about signing up new members or they just don’t follow up. Only reason I am giving it 1 star because no follow up. Not sure how the service will be in future once I become member, if they ever call me.

Love this Gym and my trainer!!! This has seriously been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I was thinking I needed to get in shape and get healthy and have always done it on my own. I might lose weight but I never feel fit. I finally said, «I’m taking care of me for once» and signed up 3 days a week with trainer, Alex DeLeon (Personal Training Manager). He is amazing, knowledgeable, pushes me, but always makes it fun! This gym has everything you need and a friendly welcoming staff. I highly recommend this gym and trying out the training sessions. Even if it’s once a week, it gets you in the right direction and makes you feel comfortable breaking out from the same treadmill routine and on to all the other things the gym has to offer. 5 Stars to Tracy In-​Shape Fit and to Alex DeLeon!

Last Saturday 1÷23÷2016 my daughter and I went to sign up for this gym. Apparently they do not have new membership sign up on weekends which is fine and then I was told to enter all my information into their computer and someone would contact me on Monday ¹⁄₂₅. It is now Thursday ¹⁄₂₈ and I still have had no phone call and the two times I have called the gym this week to speak to someone there is no answer and no message comes up to have someone call me back. Apparently In Shape Fit does not need any new business. Already not liking the lack of customer service from this place!
UPDATE:
Once the team at In Shape Fit realized my daughter and I were overlooked unintentionally they took swift action to make sure we were taken care of and made time for me to get me signed up. Thank you Rick, Chuck and Yetti for resolving this issue so quickly. We look forward to getting back into shape with this facility.

Glad I joined this gym because it’s a very welcoming atmosphere and all of the employees are approachable and friendly. Shout out to Alex Deleon (Personal Training Manager) for always making my workouts worth my money. Yerania is also someone who is helpful and is always smiling welcoming everyone to the club. Overall I am SATISFIED with everything and would recommend anyone to join.

Went for personal training here. I usually hate those things because I always felt like I was ripped off. But Leslie here was very dedicated and I felt for the first time I got my money’s worth. She really cared how I improved in my physical condition. She was Very punctual and prompt. Alex was also very caring and good. They really worked hard to help me improve my health.

I love this place but i think its wrong that one male waste water Daily from showers brushing his teeth shaving (water full blast) even while getting dressed sometimes or on his cell phone repeatedly every weekend between 945-+1045 and we let California turned into the new gold? This man does it every weekend but i guess the only action that in-​shape will do is just raised all membership to cover the cost? Oh by the way he never workouts he only comes for the locker room facilities etc i have been coming here for 8 or 9 years so its obvious what i see

I have had three trainers before I was lucky enough to meet Alex Deleon and his co-​trainers. I had to write to tell you they are great trainers ! Alex is very knowledgeable, he explains what Muscle you are working and the correct way of each exercise. If you are doing it wrong he explains why. He is teaching me so that I gain the knowledge to work out on my own. I am learning and he is pushing me at a perfect pace where I see results. Best of the best! Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a trainer no matter what age or physical aptitude.

Been a customer for a few years now and like the new renovation.
Don’t understand why anyone would give this new remodeled gym low stars. It has everything you need if it’s working out what you want.

Clean bathrooms
TV to keep you entertained while doing cardio
I try to go at 5am during the week because I have the gym pretty much to myself, the evening is a lot busier.

This place is my second home! I don’t understand why people complain so much about it, it is affordable, clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming! I definitely recommend this place!
I just had my Fit start with the gentleman Alex, & wow was I amazed at his knowledge and help about starting my fit life! I am so satisfied and happy about joining this gym.

In Shape needs to focus on customer service not just making a profit. All 3 of their gyms in Tracy are dirty, their employees show no respect for their job and their trainers are not properly trained. I look forward to the day 24 hour fitness comes to Tracy and takes ways the monopoly In Shape has in Tracy.

I was so excited to hear that they were finally doing a much needed remodel on the gym. When I returned and the remodel was complete I have to say that I am some what disappointed. The positives are it looks very nice, clean and they did add some great cardio machines, and a circuit area. The staff is always very nice! Now with with the bad. With the circuit area every 45 seconds and 15 a loud bell goes off that you can hear in the entire gym. It’s very, very annoying. The over all functionality of the gym is terrible. The free weights are in a very small place in the back and once you have a few people in there you cannot even move. The weight benches are practically touching the free weights. You cannot get to the bars when someone is on a bench because you literally are going to get hit. They have a cable machine that is placed so close to the mirror that you cannot use it properly or you will hit the mirror. I told an employee about this and still nothing has been done. They also have a set of lighter free weights in middle of a large area, but there are no mirrors or benches. Lastly they put up this wall that takes up an enormous amount of space and now has a sign that you cannot use it. Hopefully they can work out some of these issues to make the functionality of the gym better.

The staff at InShape Fit Tracy is so friendly and helpful! I had my Fit Start appointment today and Alex was so great! Very respectful and kind. Most of all he was very motivating and I look forward to continuing my training and getting my fitness and health back!

Good place to work out machines are clean. Friendly people clean gym, also not very busy around 4 pm during the week. Lots of free weights, never had a problem getting a machine to work out. For $ 10 a month pretty good deal for a gym membership these days. They have deals every once and awhile low down payment too.

I first looked this place over when it was the Fitness 19 several years ago because I was looking for something… ANYTHING… that even remotely resembled a quality gym in this lousy goat farm of a town.
I had an overbearing 3 year contract with the In-​Shape up the road, so when this rolled over, I thought it may have been a boon to me since, I could use that membership to go here.
It’s an okay gym. The facilities are somewhat adequate, if sadly outdated and under-​maintained. The locker room can definitely use some work as it’s cramped and run down. The janitor works hard at keeping it clean though, often at the expense of getting in your way in such tight confines that locker room is.
Honestly, this is the best gym this town has. Which isn’t saying much because this gym is mediocre at best.

very disappointed. I’ve been a member with inshape for 3 years and this is the worst inshape I’ve seen YET! the treadmills are disgusting. the cleaning bottles are almost empty. when I walked in there was no one to check me in. I guess it’s called «self check in». worst service ever. whoever is inquiring about coming here, my advice is don’t.

Cardio, clean, weights are better different have more options always something is beeing fixed as soon as broken

I’ve been coming here for about a year now. I see a lot of Unilocalers complaining about the little things like bathroom being dirty, mess, etc. this is a GYM. You come here to work out and use the equipments. The equipments are good. A nice set of weights, benches, cardio equipment, etc. Their is not a variety of equipments but it really gets the job done and I like the place. As to my opinion, the bathrooms ARE clean, maybe it’s just a problem in the early mornings? Idk? I like the gym. And will continue going here. The staff is friendly and its a cool enviroment.

Have been coming here for 5 years and have watched this GYM go downhill for years. No paper towels in the dispenser, bathrooms filthy, equipment broken, they have been promising a remodel for years. I have a group that I work out with or else I would be long gone!

It’s already been one month since I’ve been a member, and I absolutely love it. I’m seeing results every week so far (you get out what you put in)
Anyway, I love this gym. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable, it’s a great environment. Yes this a small gym, however I’m a minimalist, so I don’t need much (after all this isn’t crossfit (ew)).
If you’re new, please don’t hesitate to join in. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, that’s what the trainers are there for. (Note: the trainers are paid to be polite, don’t abuse it. That goes double for the dudes. Don’t be THAT GUY.)

They don’t even deserve one star that’s how pathetic they are!
We joined the gym because they sold us on the Childcare and «remodeling soon» routine and because we do the basics were looking for the cheaper gym payment. Like most people in Tracy we are commuters and need the Childcare so everyone in the family can go at the same time to allow our family to gain time back and have some time together. We saw a sign in Childcare Wednesday (³⁄₅) that the child care is being closed as of 3÷15÷14. the sign was not out the day before, Tuesday. This was not brought to our attention when we walked in at the front desk and checked in (with the kid), they even asked to take a picture of my child for their system. the Childcare woman had to tell us and she said she just found out that day too (from the sign) when she came in and that they didn’t even tell her. The manager had no answers as to why or offer anything except to pay more (at least double the current amount) to go to another location in town that will still have Childcare. the only other thing they offered was to pro-​rate credit us for the child in care only for the balance of march since we already prepaid march. Also when we signed up, there were signs outside and the manager sold us on how the place would be remodeled soon. The sign is now down and never has been remodeled. Looks like that was false advertisement and a ploy to get people to sign up. They were still selling memberships to people without disclosing that info just the beginning of the week and the Childcare girls still haven’t been talked to about what will happen to their jobs or what’s happening and it’s Friday. It’s just bad business and generally rude and inconsiderate to all. This company is apparently just greedy and doesn’t care about their employees or customers! Take your business elsewhere and don’t get taken by these scumbags!
I would like to thank and recognize the women who work in the Childcare now as they have been wonderful and have really made the Childcare. They are so wonderful to our children and deserve better!
Ps: the pictures they uploaded are not from this gym. It’s more false advertisement!
