Called the company to check out our heater, wasn’t working and it was very cold… lol The owner called quickly and was out the next day. It was determined that we need a new one as the heater was very old and to old for parts. They gave us a quote, and we set up appointment for new heater to be install within a day. Very professional, even my husband said they where and that’s something you don’t come across now a days… Would for sure use them again for heating and a/​c.

I am so impressed by the customer service I received from this company. I was having an issue with my heater and gave them a call. The first time I called, I explained the situation and was given some tips to try to see if that solved my issue. When it didn’t, I called back the next morning, and a service call was scheduled for that afternoon. I was given a 2 hour window. Sam showed up right on time! He was very cordial, professional, and friendly. He explained what the issue may be, and took a look at my heater. He had it running properly within 30 minutes and the charge was EXTREMELY reasonable.
I will definately be calling for all of my heating and A/​C needs. I gladly will recommend Altamont to my family and friends.

This company is awesome! We called them at 4:35pm, the technician was at our house at 5:20pm, and he fixed our AC unit, collected payment and was out of the door at 5:40pm! There is no wonder this company has all 5-​Star reviews!
Prices were reasonable, and the technician was EXTREMELY knowledgeable! And to top it off, he greeted my son. Most service people come in, handle business with the adults and look right past the hyper-​curious little people! Call them now!

If you are looking for a company that is honest, hard working and that you can trust call Altamont Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning.
We had just come back from vacation only to find out that our downstairs AC wasn’t working (We knew that this day was coming). I called and spoke with Sam. He came out the same day and told us that we needed a new unit (Again knew this was probably the case since our unit was over 24 years old)
Anyway, Sam started the job within a day or so and worked very long hours to get new unit in and running. I am so glad that I found a good honest company. Will use them again when needed. My neighbor had their unit fail (Same type home) and I told them about Altamont Mechanical. They are using them also

Great! They are great! My tenants AC got problem at 3 days ago, I called so many companies for the repairing appointment, the earliest one is on week later. But in Tracy area during the hot weather, it is very hard to live with AC. I checked Unilocal and found Altamont Mechanical INC. I send them email request, I got the reply very quick. Even they already booked whole week, but they still work hard to find the time to help me. 2 days later, my problem was done, and cost is very low. They are great. They totally worth the 5 stars.

Great service from start to finish… Our air conditioner stopped blowing cold air during the hottest day ever last week. I sent a message thru their website on Sunday night and was called first thing Monday morning. Receptionist was nice and accommodating, and Sam went out to our home within three hours. Sam found and corrected the problem immediately. He is a genius in his field!

Our AC stopped working during the night… called Altamont Mechanical first thing (they opened at 7am and others I tried calling opened at 9am), knowing today was going to be in the 100s and we wanted our unit repaired ASAP.
Sam took my call and worked me in for sometime in the afternoon. He called when he was around an hour out. He showed up within that time. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Within a minute of getting to our unit he had identified our issue, explained it to me, showed it to me, and said he’d have our AC back up and running within minutes. And, he did! He even cleaned up the area before reinstalling the cover.
A+ same day service! Repair bill (part/​labor) was reasonable — even though the job was fast. I felt he was honest and we could trust him, which says a lot about a company!
I’ll be referring Altamont Mechanical to our local friends in need of Heater/​AC work!

My AC went out, and I was looking for a good, honest repair company, so I went through Unilocal reviews and came across Altamont Mechanical, there reviews looked good so I gave them a call, tech came out same day, explained everything that he was doing, got my AC working, and all for a good price, I’ve heard stories about shady repair guys that just want to make money, so I was a little worried about finding the right company, HIGHLY recommended!

The heat in my house would go on and off from blowing hot air to cold air. Called Sam to have an inspection and he was quick to the rescue. I never felt like he was trying to find things wrong but instead really helping us fix the problem with as little cost as possible. After opening the furnace he noticed the vent has never been touched since I bought the house and it was filled with gunk! He then removed it, sprayed it down with a hose and showed me what I needed to do next time. I was afraid I was going to have to buy an entire new unit but he assured me the unit was still in good shape. Only charged me the diagnostic fee ($ 59) and kept my information for future references in case anything else went wrong. My heater now blows only hot air, and I wish I would’ve found that out myself but he did help a lot! Sam is also super friendly and professional!

Today I would like to write about a wonderful experience I had with Sam. He came over to fix my air conditioning unit. He has been to my house once before; I wanted to write this story about three years ago but never had the chance. This time I wanted to make sure I told my story. Sam is very experienced in his job and just like before he did a fabulous job. But even more so is that his customer service is impeccable. I would recommend him to anybody. If I could give him a seven-​star rating I would. But there’s only five stars (he is definitely a seven and his personality is wonderful). I was very impressed with his accuracy and speed and he is such a pleasure to talk to. If you are looking for someone to do your air conditioning or repair your heating system Sam is number one.

Highly recommended. I thought I had written a review for this Company a couple years ago. I will never forget the excellent service we got from Sam. He came out to work on our 40 year old air conditioner. He repaired it at a cost of $ 100.00. He was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. If I could give you 10 stars Sam, I would!

I had a referral from my home warranty Co. to repair the circuit board on my heater.
They would not do my warranty work until the heating ducts were cleaned.
The Co. wanted close to $ 600.00 more than Altamont Mechanical to clean the ducts
Altamont came out right on time and they were very professional.
I was forced to have the warranty work done by the other Co.
I would have preferred to have Altamont do the warranty work

Sam was fabulous. They take really good care of their customers! My air broke down on the day it was 107 degrees. Sam said he had so many calls he couldnt come out til the following tuesday. Within an hour he called me back and fit me in. I have to say they have very competitive pricing, no they have great pricing!
Totally recommend them!

This is the second time we have had to use Altamont Mechanical in the past 3 years, and we couldn’t be more happy with the service and price! Sam is so personable and honest, I can’t help but give him a rave review. Being 36 weeks pregnant and summer upon us, the timing of our A/​C unit breaking down couldn’t have been worse. I gave Sam a call and he came the same day and had it fixed in no time and at a very fair price! He educated us on our unit and gave us options for future repairs if need be. I love that he never pushes for additional repairs when it isn’t necessary, nor does he make you feel like you’re being taken for your money. I highly recommend!!! 5+ Stars!!!

Sensational! That is about all I can say about Altamont Mechanical. Sam Aranda is very easy to talk to and down to earth, and not afraid to tell you what he sees and explain it to you in terms you can understand. Sam came out to our house to do our routine Winter furnace maintenance, and pointed out how he thought some of the parts were aging, but still had life left in them. Instead of pushing us into a preventative repair at much higher cost, he tuned things up and moved on. We did need to call him back a few weeks later when our ignition switch went out — thanks to his education the first time, I was able to diagnose the problem myself reducing the repair bill from Sam having to spend time diagnosing things.
You simply won’t find more sympathetic and caring business owners than the Arandas, and you WILL be well taken care of.
