Days Inn Towson

The pool is nice, but the rooms are a little beaten up. Not the best smelling, either. Once there was old food in the fridge and no hot water in the shower. If it’s just for a few hours or one night that’s fine, but it’s certainly a budget hotel. Front desk staff is also not the nicest out there.

Everytime my family and I visit Maryland, we stay at this hotel. However, I believe that its time we find a different hotel to stay in, never had any issues until our stay from 7÷3÷15−7÷6÷15. First off, I pulled my covers back and there was a condom in my bed still in the wrapper which made me question if my sheets were ever changed. Secondly, no one cleaned my room the entire three days I was there. My parent’s room on the 2^nd fl was cleaned with no issues. My room and my sister’s room was located on the 3^rd floor. We both had to call to request everything. When I called the front desk, they sent the most unpleasant housekeeper to my room. She banged on my door while she was talking on her phone and had the biggest attitude. She acted as if I was disturbing her because I asked for tiolet tissue, garbage bags, and clean towels/​wash cloths. She only brought two towels and wash cloths up. I told her I would need more because there were three of us, she said ok but never came back. I ended up going to the front desk to request everything I needed. Third, the lifeguard at the pool was drunk and clearly taking shots while on duty. I asked him how could he save someone if they were drowning, he tried to convince me not to worry. I got out of the pool because I cant swim and didnt want to take any chances. On a positive note, I will give this location one star as the young girl at the front desk was very nice and the breakfast was good. The two older housekeepers I stopped on the stairs were also very nice and helpful. Thinking about staying at the comfort inn across the street next time.

This stay was a overnight stay on our travels down south. When we checked in there was a man that was straight and to the point and not overly friendly. When we got to our room we did not even enter because the light was on, the bed was not made and it appeared as if someone was staying in there. We went back to the front desk where we were given another room but no apologies. When entering our room the first thing we were able to see was that it was very old. The towels were paper thing and ragged, spider webs in the corner, stains on the sheets. I know that it was on the cheaper end so I certainly didn’t expect 5 star quality but it is truly the kind of room that makes you nervous to sleep in for fear of uncleanliness and bugs. I will clarify that I did not see any bugs other than the spider web but I didn’t go searching either because I was scared to inspect too much. We checked in late, we were tired and being unaware of all the things that were unpleasant to look at seemed best. On a positive side I will say that the AC worked and they are doing some work on the exterior to give it more curb appeal. My advice would be for the owners to invest more and make this a competitive hotel that people want to stay at. If you can’t do that, at least get people to work the desk that make customers remember that the customer service was great. Advice to people looking– this is a cheap hotel that covers the basic necessities of what you need, not a place for the kids, not a place for anything romantic. Maybe a place for truckers.

I only stayed one night and i think you get what you pay for. We had a good breakfast but the guy stocking the breakfast bar had an attitude. We didnt have any problems with the room except we only got one wash cloth but no biggie. The night was loud but the room was comfortable. My boyfriend had stayed 2 nights and he seemed to be alright with the arrangements. Rodney at the front desk was so very nice and helpful. I would stay here again. I booked thru
and paid cash for my stay.

Stayed over the weekend and since then they have double charged my credit card three days in a row.
I’ve had to call them everyday to have them fix it and they still continue to mess up.
If you stay don’t book a room in advance and don’t pay with a credit card, cause they are incompetent

we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and 4 days. as soon as we entered the room it reeked of cigarette smoke (we requested for non smoking room). the hotel needs a revamp. the bathroom is very smelly and we had to wear slippers the entire time– now if you are uncomfortable and wears slippers even in the tub then i think something’s wrong). the breakfast area is ok nothing special. the place looks old and not taken care of. i have stayed in tons of days inn and other hotels since i attend a lot of courses/​seminar for work and this has by far the worst service and stay we’ve had. i am staying in a hotel again in 2 weeks and would probably not choose another days inn anytime soon. i wont refer this location to friends at least.

Let’s start off with location, terrible neighborhood, located in the hood. The hotel is dirtty, our first day, the bathtub had hair in the drain and so did one of the towels. Customer service was adequate at best not too bad. The hotel needs upgrading, mildew in bathroom. The night time seems seedy, did not feel safe at all, feels like you can get robbed here at night, it didn’t happen but it feels that way. The continental breakfast was downright disgusting, ate some eggs with a hair strand in it, I know it can happen but it was gross .The pool was the best part of the hotel, clean and the life guard was pleasant, the only down fall it closes at 8pm on the weekends, wish it could stay open alittle later. I. The thing is, I really can’t complain to much you get what you pay for.

I was in from Cleveland went to Hampton first no vacancies. So the Manager calles around to find us a available hotel she calls Days Inn young lady takes my info sayes they have a availability. Drive like 10 miles this was 3 am. Get there the guy at the front desk ask for res # He types it in She books it for following day. So upset. Every hotel was booked. Bathroom was like a out house. Nasty Place. I rate them a 0

Absolutely one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Avoid if at all possible and stay at the Best Western around the corner if they have availability.
Every day we have to tell the cleaning crew to replace towels and toilet paper and it’s hit or miss whether or not it will actually get done. We’re hoarding toilet paper rolls in a dresser drawer at this point so that we’re sure to have something for the times when the backup roll isn’t replaced. Emptying the trash on a daily basis is apparently unheard of as well but they’re sure to leave more trash on the floor if they do happen to replace a roll of toilet paper some day rather than disposing of the packaging it came in the normal way. Then again, that may require them to empty the trash so guess it makes perfect sense.
Today we asked for towels to be replaced when leaving the room and it looks like they just took the ones off the floor and hung them back up because typically the new ones are in rolls on the top shelf of the bathroom.
The smashed roach on the wall was a nice touch as well to let us know exactly what kind of hotel this is.
TVs are old square tube TVs so don’t bother bringing any modern devices to connect to them.
The loud congregations going on outside the banquet room after 10pm are great too when you need to get sleep to get up early. Apparently this is approved behavior in this scummy hotel since they have it opened for some reason at night for everyone to gather in.
It’s very apparent that there is no care here for those who are staying and this brand of hotel will never again be a consideration in this town or any other as far as my family is concerned. Rooms just feel dirty and uncared for here and the surrounding outside areas are no different.
Edit: Just came back to the room for the last night stay here. Today we didn’t hunt down any of the cleaning crew before going out for the day and it shows. Pretty much all that was done was that the beds were made. There were still used towels laying on the bathroom floor from the night before, spare toilet paper roll was not replaced, cups weren’t replaced and of course the towels weren’t replaced. Also, this time we had the pleasure of being greeted by a live roach outside the bathroom area.
Again it’s after 1030pm and sounds like a party going on outside of that banquet area as people filter out and continue the party standing around outside.
