Seriously, are people really complaining about thin fries? They taste good, and if you’re fond of stuffing things down your trap then jam two down at once.
The vegetables on the burgers are really fresh and the meat isn’t greasy, like Five Brothers.
The staff is pretty friendly and they honor expired coupons without quibbles. The place is clean and they bring the food to your table so you can chat with friends instead of looking like a tool on line.
A regular burger is about $ 5 and fries are $ 3. It costs about the same as McDonalds but taste much better, like a burger you grilled yourself. You can often find $ 2 off coupons by searching on Google.

Good place to grab a quick affordable meal. Their crispy chicken is juicy and cooked just right. I have had their sweet potato and smash fries. The smash fries are deliciously they are string fries tossed in olive oil and seasoning. Overall this chain is definitely better than most of the chain options around.

Not bad, your typical burger place. I like how you can can customize toppings and create anything with chicken instead of beef. They also have the variety of sides, but I find there is not much that differentiates the different kinds of fries they have.
If you’re in the area, check it out, if not you’re not missing anything extraordinary.

Update: the place has gone downhill. Take out order was wrong. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack tomatoes pickles and mustard. Got Swiss, no bacon, no tomatoes and a smattering of mustard. Burger was cold. This is the second time after my review that I have been disappointed. Manager tried to make it right.

Burger and fries were very good, service was fast and pleasant.
Will definitely be visiting again.

Fast service! Fantastic burgers and delicious chicken sandwiches. Veggie frites are a great treat as well. Vanella shake to top off the meal will suprise since it’s as good if not better than many ice cream shops. Highly reccomended.

This review is not only based on the food but also how great the people were who worked there. Got better service then some 5 star restaurants been to. Ran over with a baby chair for my son Walked us the ought the order since we have never been. And the food was great. Mint Oreo milkshake was amazing and very kid friendly with a nice kid menu

I had the buffalo grilled chicken burger with fries. The burger was decent– I’ve had better. The chicken was extremely thin, not really what I was expecting. The fries were delicious, crispy shoestring fries. The space itself is well maintained and they were cleaning the tables right away.

If you want a little hamburger with your salt, this place is for you. Fries are decent and good service. But the over salting ruins it.

Good chicken sandwich and I like that you can customize it the way you like. I felt though that I waited longer the I should have for it to come out. Expediting is not the best.

Don’t know why my review got deleted. I believe i gave it 3 stars. Now im giving it 2. Not gonna go thru my whole review once again. Smashburger is overrated. Perhaps another location would be better?

Very greasy burgers. Dripping wet with oil doesn’t always mean juicy. Chicken sandwich had a weird flavor so I wouldn’t order it again. French fries… I don’t get everyone’s infatuation with skinny fries, they dont retain any heat.
It’s not horrible, well other than the chicken sandwich, but it’s nothing special at all.
I’ve given them three tries, hoping for… well I just didn’t want to make a u-​turn on 17, so I guess I’m hoping to be less lazy and go to a better burger place.
As always give them a try. Everyone’s tastes are different. I won’t give it a forth try though. Good luck.

This was my first visit to a Smashburger in NJ, and I have to admit it was a little disappointing. The food was fine, but the service was something to be considered… The place was not busy, but it took forever for someone to take our order and even longer for someone to bring it out. We actually saw our food hit the warming lights, someone walked around with it for a few minutes, put it back under the lights and then finally brought it to us… a lot of confusion for such a simple burger.

The food is always good, that’s why we order pretty often from this location. But this time I wanted to save time and placed an order online. Mistake.
Arrived to the place on time listed in the online order. Signed my CC receipt and waited. I had to ask for cups for kid’s meals (as usual — nothing new here). I had to ask for a tray for cups too — as usual. And I wait. Figured they are making the meal hot as soon as I showed up. Nope. After 15 mins waiting as seeing that a customer who just walked in got his order, I ask what’s up with mine. «Here is it» — it was waiting all the time — nobody bothered to ask, check, hand over when completed the transaction. Crew could care less about it. ONLY after I mentioned that I’ve been waiting for 15 mins already just to get my cold meal, they offered reorder.
Summarize — great food (If you like their style), but pathetic, lazy and ignorant service.

It was our first time trying Smashburger and the experience was not pleasant. May be it was the quality of food which did not go well with our taste. I ordered Spicy Jalapeño Baja (chicken) and I could not take another bite. The chicken was soaked in oil and the bun didn’t taste good either. The fries were thinnest fries I had seen — but nothing great about it either. Same with my husband order — it was nothing extra ordinary! For the same price — habit burger is great!
The service was good. The restaurant is clean.

Just what the world needs, another fast food burger joint? Well, if they’re as good as this Smash Burger, then the answer is a resounding YES!
My friend told me that Smash Burger had opened a new franchise near his house and we did a boy’s day out, stopping in here for lunch.
I had the regular Smash Burger with Smash fries. The bigger size, I was told, is a half pound… More meat than I needed today. Same with the fries. The regular size was plenty. The added spice in the Smash fries was light and quite a refreshing change from the over salted offerings I’m used to.
The burger comes with fresh lettuce, a splash of Smash sauce, raw onion, surprisingly ripe tomato, pickle, melted cheese and catsup. All stuffed between two halves of a fresh bun. The burger was better than I expected since I tend to be a purist — bun, meat, cheese, catsup and that’s it. This burger is kind of a Shake Shack burger meaning a unique taste experience.
We ended the meal with a shake — topped with whipped cream. I do not want to know the calorie count because it probably was more than the meal. Yeah, it was that good.
The bill for the two of us was about $ 25 including the two burgers, two fries, two sodas and two shakes. I call that good value for a treat but could be a little pricy for a once a week lunch.
They take your order and deliver the food directly to your table. Fast friendly service too.
Their food comes on metal trays and baskets with real metal forks and plastic cups for soda. I like that. The shakes (we got them to go) came in tossable plastic cups with lids so that was all the trash (with napkins) we generated… But the too can be had in reusable cups. Cool!
Looking for a new burger experience that will put Sonic to shame? Try Smash Burger. You’ll thank me later.
PS — my wife told me that last week she went to a different Smash Burger and had their chicken sandwich — available grilled or fried. It’s served with all of the goodies like the burger and she pronounced it very good.

So my fiancée, her momma and I went out shopping today and we got hungry. We saw a Smashburger nearby and had to see what the hype was all about, as I have heard great things about this burger chain.
My lady ordered the «New Jersey», which is a burger with bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, grilled onions, haystack onions (which are lightly breaded onions), lettuce, tomato and mayo on an egg bun. I got to have half, and we agreed that we loved it. The bun was so soft and tasty and the onions, ohh the onions! The bleu cheese hit you in the face, and that’s how I like bleu cheese — fierce! The burger meat itself was excellent and the bacon was delicious. I would recommend this burger.
My lady’s mom ordered the Avocado Club burger and that was also delicious — it was more of a refreshing burger than the other two because of the avocado and the soft multigrain bun. It also had bacon, lettuce and tomato with ranch dressing, so it was somewhat reminiscent of a salad in a burger. I would recommend that if you’re looking to eat a burger on the lighter side.
I ordered the Spicy Jalapeño Baja burger, and it was pretty spicy, but very flavorful. This was my personal favorite because I was able to add a fried egg in the burger. The burger comes in a chipotle bun with jalapeños, guacamole, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo. Now the fried egg didn’t have a runny yolk, but that’s alright by me. I believe you can have a runny yolk by request if you really wanted it. But overall, a very flavorful burger.
As of sides, we had an order of fries, which were very skinny, long fries but pretty tasty. I had a chocolate Oreo shake and that was pretty awesome! The combination of chocolate and Oreo is so underrated.
The service was excellent — they provided us with utensils on request, and the food came out very fast. This is one of those restaurants where you order and pay up front, they give you a number and you go sit at a table with that number. Then by that number, they find your table when they give you your food, which was like 5 mins later at the most — very quick service and very nice staff.
Just one piece of advice to the customer — if you have a larger appetite, get that bigger burger — it’s a half-​pound of beef on what looked like a larger bun. I think the value is reasonable because the food is that good.

Staff are fast and hospitable. Orders are accurate and they’re willing substitute for other toppings and sides.
They tell you ahead of time that they are short with staffing yet the service is still fast even though I ordered for 5 people. Place is clean and will definitely coming back

This is the second time I came here for a quick take out meal and the service is great. They just opened and are very accommodating.
The food is good and the haystack onions are a must try! This is definitely a better option than most other fast food places, along with healthier options like the salads or grilled chicken sandwiches.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the décor is modern.
I will definitely be back!
