They are open on saturdays which is a plus and they send reminders out so you dont have to miss your dentist appointments.

When I saw the recent 4 and 5 star reviews I had to write this. I do not want to disparage the dentist, Dr. Abraham, who based on the recent reviews is good or the dental assistant, Fernando, who I liked, but based on the older reviews that are further down when you scroll, the office don’t seem to have changed from the way that they operated years ago which is they are more interested in money than what’s best for the patient. Chains more so than private dental practices are very «pushy» in upselling, and chains run by Cohen-​Sedgh, Soleyman which includes Dental Associates of Torrance are notoriously so.
When I went there, a few years ago, I was on a discounted (not insurance) dental plan called Smile Saver. Fortunately that plan had a price list of procedures and when I needed a crown, they did not want to give it to me at the discounted price saying it would be «cosmetic» and gave me a large filling instead, when the tooth finally cracked, they STILL said it was «cosmetic» and the crown not necessary and I would have to pay the NON discounted rate, so I made a fuss and contacted the discount plan. The «manager» would come in and say I needed a list of procedures (I never asked to see the Xrays so if you come here despite some of the negative reviews, do ask to see them and have them show what is wrong if they say you need procedures) and since I was eligible for Care Credit talked me into the «advantage» of paying for many procedures way before they were done, since the higher the amount you owe on Care Credit, the longer the payment period, and the longer the payment period, the lower the monthly payment (I wasn’t thinking that maybe I didn’t need all the procedures and just save money not doing them, period!) The bad thing about this, is when I did NOT get some procedures done, the manager said I did, and I had to hassle with her about it (fortunately it didn’t turn into a months long procedure) which some reviewers had complained about.
The more recent reviews have praised the Dr. Abraham, so maybe the office is different from years ago, not being overbooked with long waits but since he’s just the dentist that’s employed there and not the owner of the corp, he can’t change their policies and they may still be pushing unnecessary expensive procedures not paid by insurance (so I won’t fault him for doing that, it may be something forced on him). Don’t want to put competent people out of a job, so if you like the dental staff, don’t experience a long wait and are smart enough to check out that you need a procedure that they advise you to have, than go there, just «emptor caveat.»

Not very happy. I have been trying to get my wisdom teeth pulled for quite some time. Went here, got the x-​rays at their baby office, and when I gave them the x-​rays they told me they would contact me when I would be approved to get them pulled. This was all in the summer of 2015. I start school and in October and they call me telling me I have until December to make an appointment to get my teeth pulled and that the oral surgeon only comes in once a month so it has to be on the day he is available, which normally would be okay if they had given me an earlier notice about this.
I didn’t make an appointment in October because the day the surgeon came in was already passed. November I was out of town and did not know he came in. December comes and I get a call that I HAVE to come in or they cannot pull my teeth because this is the last month I’m approved for. That’s fine, except the receptionist was YELLING at me for not coming in sooner and then REVEALED to me that the approval had gone through in August!!! I had been approved since before the semester started and they didn’t contact me for three months about it! Life happens and one day out of the month for two months is not reasonable to ask a patient to suddenly be free, especially during finals crunch time.
I kindly told her I would not be coming in.

DR. Abraham was rather pleasant and patient. Great bedside manners. The staff was courteous and helpful. IT WAS CLEAN! I went in a time constraint and they worked with me. The reason they didn’t get 5 stars they’re a bit over priced. .but which dentist isn’t. Thank you WCD!

I just finished reading a review by Gonzalo L. written today giving this Dental Group a 1 star rating. Really? Where we at the same location? I was referred today by Delta Dental, as a new patient. A call was made at 11 am ask for a same day appointment, and West Coast very graciously accepted. I was seen at 3 pm. Not only was the staff pleasant and friendly (which I love); they were very professional and very organized. The office was most definitely well run, clean, neat, and up to date on good practice standards, including the latest equipment. I would choose to be in this type of surrounding any day! I am so thankful I did not get stuck at the first location I went to the same day, where everyone was cold, acted like they did not know how to smile or show concern, was not warm, or friendly, and staff (including the dentist) seemed uptight. At West Coast Dental, all of the staff worked well together, and displayed very friendly attitudes, even verbally, expressing how they want their patients to be happy in their care, and how they work hard to make visits a positive, pleasurable experience. I haven’t felt so good in a Dental office for most of my life, but my experience today had me
hugging the staff and telling them how happy I was that I referred to them. Boy, was I lucky

I rarely put a bad review, instead, I try to give a good feedback about my experience. But the visit at this place was simply a joke. I called in advance to make an appointment and I got at 9am 2 days later. I was there at 8:50am. There were 4 people waiting before me but I didn’t concern because I had my appointment. In the meantime, people in the office just joking around laughing, kind of unprofessional. At 9:30am, I went to the front desk and I said I have an appointment at 9am and I was here on time. How long do I need to wait for the dentist? then 2 guys in the office look each other and answer… about hour and half. This is ridiculous, unprofessional and to be honest, you can tell right away that they’re in business only for the money. They don’t care about people in pain, they just care about people’s money.
I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Just read all of the reviews and are all the same way.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist but now I’m not so afraid thanks to West Coast Dental! Everyone is very friendly, and there’s a great vibe. My teeth are very sensitive and Miguel did an amazing job by being the most gentle he could be. They definitely take good care of their patients! Thanks guys !

I have been coming to this place since High School and never had any issues with the staff. Everyone is friendly and really easy to talk to. They are great at explaining the procedures that you need and are Happy to answer any concerns that you may have. Never had a bad experience and hope to start bring my son here as his teeth start to come in.

I have always been scared to go to any dentist but this dentist made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease while I was getting two root canals done at the same time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and everyone is polite and caring I would recommend coming to this dentist at any age thank you to all the staff at West Coast Dental

I had such a lovely experience here today. From the front desk, to the dental assistants, to Dr. Abraham himself… everyone was so nice! They offered me water, they were quick, and I was in and out in under an hour. The equipment is new and the place itself is clean.
Dr. Abraham answered all my questions and concerns and you can tell he is very knowledgable in Dentistry. Highly recommend :)

Unfortunately, I had a dental emergency and they got me right in, even though it was the middle of the day on a Saturday. Not the cheapest service ever, but then again, I’m not one for using coupons or bargaining to save money when it comes to my teeth or my health.
Made me a priority, and got me squared away.

Dr. Abraham is the best dentist I’ve ever had I have always feared dentist because I’ve always felt uncomfortable being at the dentist but he is always finds a way to make me feel better he’s very sufficient in his work his staff is wonderful and friendly and I always feel comfortable when I go there thanks guys you’re the best!

I really can’t say that I’ve ever been a fan of going to the dentist at all but my experience at West Coast dental has been so amazingyoday. They work with you, they are friendly and up front with what your coverage is and are happy to extend credit. Came here for my first time to take my wisdom teeth pulled out and honestly everyone here is so helpful. Doctor Abraham was very nice and did such an amazing job with my first time experience being here.

Dr. Abraham and staff consistently make the dentist experience about as pleasant as it can be. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and really tries to connect with patients to help them understand how to take ownership of their oral health. He’s always really good about answering questions, and will tell you if you’re doing a good job. If not, he’s help you work on how to improve your hygiene and make your next visit that much better.
I work in Fullerton but live in Redondo Beach, so I have to do Saturday appointments… which literally make it possible for me to go to a dentist that is close to me — so I appreciate it. The only downside of Saturday appointments is that sometimes it can take a little longer to be seen, but it’s never outrageous.
Martha does a great job with cleaning and minor procedures, and was super pleasant to talk to. Kathy does a great job with the billing stuff, and is also great to interact with. For those of you that have kids (or are still big kids at heart), it’s nice that they always have Disney movies playing on a large flat screen TV. I’m well-​versed on my Finding Nemo trivia now ;)
The only other thing that I will say is that until Dr. Abraham came to WCD, it seemed like the Dr turnover was pretty high. I’ve been going there for 3 years, and I think I’ve had 3 – 4 dentists in that time. It seems like Dr. Abraham is trying to change that and create a community, which is nice.
All in all, Dr. Abraham and crew do a great job, and I would recommend them to anyone.

One week update— Walked into my appointment, was seen right away. Dr. Abraham and his assistant Fernando removed the stitches to my extracted molar area. He also took a digital photo to confirm the bone implant was filling in nicely. «Everything looks real good, you’re healing nicely!» I have to admit, the healing process has been WITHOUT pain or swelling. quite easy, actually! Dr. Abraham answered all my questions with absolute care and concern… he gave me a big handshake, said he’d like to check one more time… and we both smiled and wished each other a Happy Halloween to enjoy tomorrow. Great checkup!

We had to re-​establish a dental office for our three boys after changing insurance. It took a really long time to find an office that would take our current insurance. We finally stumbled across West Coast Dental and decided to give them a try.
Can’t say we were excited. I mean… who’s really excited to go to the dentist anyway, right?
After three visits with three different children, I can definitely say I’m excited and grateful that we landed here.
The office staff is and has always been friendly, helpful and informative. They’ve treated us with respect and kindness. And they’ve made us feel welcomed and at home. Their instructions were easy to follow and, many times, self explanatory.
The entire facility, from the lobby to the dental area, is clean.
Martha, the dental assistant (as well as the other assistants), was very friendly with our boys. She knew how to speak to them at their level of understanding (my boys range in age from 2 – 8), explaining what she was doing with their teeth every step of the way. She knows when to joke to keep the boys comfy and knows when to speak seriously.
Dr. Abraham is a great dentist. He explains procedures well and simple. He doesn’t strong arm in his explanations about recommended teeth work. Dr. Abraham simply spells out each situation and simply recommends what’s needed. I never have felt any pressure to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with.
I definitely recommend this facility.

«I can’t feel my face when I’m with you… and I love it…» –My dental assistant, Maria, as she was helping the doctor inserting the anesthesia injections. Lol. She made me feel much at ease. They love their work and it shows.
My mom and I were pleased with the procedure, the equipment that was used, and the reassurance that everything was going really well as the procedure was in progress.
A little pricey if you don’t have insurance. And a bit of a wait between the x-​ray exams and the evaluation. But as for the dentist experience, we really liked it.
