I have undergone 2 root canals with Dr. Kelliny. He is an excellent doctor, trustworthy, and compassionate. He made a very unpleasant procedure as comfortable as possible in every way. I feel very grateful to have found him.

It was a miracle! 4 or 5 years ago I had a root canal at an endodontist in Thousand Oaks. During the procedure one of the files broke off in my tooth. The endodontist spent several hours over two visits trying to remove it but finally gave up and left it in my tooth stating, «It SHOULD be fine.» Well, years later it got infected and I was in some serious pain. I was referred to Dr. Kelliny by my dentist and told he is one of the best. Dr. Kelliny had me come in as the last appointment of the day with no other patience side by side so that he could spend whatever time needed to remove the tool from my tooth. It wasn’t easy. The previous specialist had damaged the top of the tool trying to remove it and left it tapered so there was nothing to grab on to. After about an hour and a half he succeeded! By the way, during that hour an a half I never felt any pain, in fact I almost dozed off at one point; he is very good! The nurse and I clapped when he held up the file freed from the canal… then he went ahead and re-​did the treatment on that tooth. Its been 2 days and I am in no pain and am very happy to know that I don’t have a metal file in my tooth anymore! I have had 5 root canal procedures over the years with 4 different Doctors and I can tell you that Dr. Kelliny is the best there is!!!

I have had ‘part one’ of root canal due to infection in tooth. I will finish this review once root canal has been completed! So far Dr Kelliny has been superb! I highly recommend this endodontist!!!

I met Dr. Kelliny when I was in severe pain due to a cracked tooth that needed a root canal. He was able to see me immediately and relieve the pain. Because the tooth was infected, the procedure took a few weeks to complete and I really appreciated Dr. Kelliny’s conservative approach to wait for the tooth to settle down before completing the root canal. He was available to talk to me at any hour of the day– even when he was out of town for a couple days. Lo and behold, a few months later, another tooth cracked after a cavity was recently filled. The dentist didn’t see the crack but I wanted to have Dr. Kelliny look at it with his advanced microscope and he saw it. This time, the tooth wasn’t infected and Dr. Kelliny performed the whole root canal that very day. I know that if anything comes up, I’m in good hands with Dr. Kelliny and his team.

Dr Kelliny is the BEST! He had done an implant for me years ago and it was seamless!!! More recently my general dentist was preparing to put a crown on a cracked tooth and something just didn’t feel right. I was asked to go to Dr Kelliny to get a second opinion for a possible root canal that might be needed. I had no problem making an appointment and trusting his opinion. Turns out he did recommend a root canal and it was done today. He and his staff make you feel so comfortable and totally at ease. I would highly recommend him to anyone who need a wonderful dentist specializing in endodontics & dental implants.

Dr. Kelliny did the best root canal procedure I’ve ever experienced. He was skillful and compassionate every step of the way. His staff are friendly, caring, and provide excellent service. I recommend him to anybody who needs endodontic care.

If you ever need to have a root canal then Dr. Kelliny is the doctor to perform it. From April, the front desk professional, to Karen the sweet just as equally professional assistant, to Dr. Kelliny who will make any nervous patient feel calm, his office is the place to be.
I have had his services before, therefore I felt very confident in going back to him. He has a very warm and comforting bedside manner that will ease any doubts or fears that you may have and makes you feel very comfortable during every step of the procedure.
If you rely on reviews to help you decide on what is best for you and your family, then you will make the best decision in choosing this doctor.

I had a root canal with Dr. Kattar when they had a location in West LA. The assistants in the office are great. Dr. Kattar was very gentle, and the procedure was completely painless.

We really need something between those stars… though, I would probably ask for a different referral should I ever, hopefully never, need this kind of service again.
Dr. K has a sign at the desk offering a drawing for those who do Unilocal reviews, now, it does not say it has to be a positive review, I’m just saying…
I came in with «Care Credit», a way of making payments, and commented it made it possible for me to afford the work, having a year to pay. That would have been the time for the receptionist to mention that Dr. K want’s his charges paid in six months.
Dr. K has a very nice manner and was very reassuring about the durability of teeth after a root canal.
But, I had pain, really serious pain when the work began… he would do another injection (very gentle) and there would still be intense pain. It seemed they did not believe me (people fake pain?). Eventually Dr. K figured out a test (not of the pain really, but to prove I was feeling it), he did a different kind of injection and the pain went away. He later explained what the situation had been. Sadly, the assistant seemed stuck in the idea that I was being a problem… when she was taking x-​rays to check the work she told me to move my tongue to a side… my mouth still had equipment in place and I couldn’t. I tried to communicate that with gestures. She became irritated, scolding as if she were dealing with difficult child she said «YOU need to relax!». I was surprisingly relaxed considering the amount and duration of pain before a solution had been figured out… I finally managed to get her to check the tools in my mouth, instead of an apology she said «Oh».
Finally back at the desk, the fees were a little higher than I had expected and I was told I had not one year to pay but six months. Dr. K told me to discontinue my antibiotics, glad I did not, the area become very inflamed and the antibiotics were extended (bacteria under a filling was the original problem). He was right about me not needing the strong pain killer my dentist had written, it was tender but not painful.
Time will tell if it was successful. Dr. K had a great manner, in spite of the challenge of getting to this tooth, the amount of tools in my mouth, the many procedures that went into it, it was surprisingly easy (after we got past the intense pain part). Dr. K has a very gentle and efficient manner of working and, I don’t know the field but had an impression of the latest techniques. I just wish they had believed the pain earlier in the procedure…

Dr. Kelliny did my root canal and everything seems to be fine. I had d cracked tooth and he explained that going in he would have to see how bad and deep the crack was, and that he may have to extract the tooth or I would be bad to have it extracted eventually. No root canal is fun, but he did a nice job, changed bits alot, used the latest technology and I was happy once it was done. I was in terrible pain before ithad been done. I felt nothing during the procedure. I would recoomend him to others for sure. I did need to take of the next day from work at the area was sensitive the next day also. I will be coming back as I have the same problem on the other side. I will let you know how that goes.

Yesterday morning I had part one of my root canal done and will in a few weeks for the completion. Dr. Kelliny was fantastic. Things just moved right along and I was on my way to work sooner than I expected. Dr. Kelliny, while working away at my mouth, was checking in with me frequently throughout the process to make sure I was doing well. He did a lot of work and explained to me after he finished exactly what he did and what I could expect at the next appointment. I took 2 Tylenol yesterday afternoon after most of the Novocain wore off as my mouth was a bit sore. However, I haven’t taking anything since and don’t expect to as my mouth feels great. As a testimony of how confident I am that part two of my root will go equally as well, I scheduled the appointment the morning before I fly out for a getaway weekend. Highly recommend Dr. Kelliny.

Dr. Kelliny absolutely took care of me. Not only is he a nice guy, he made this experience probably the most pain-​free root canal I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

what can i say. I walked in to dr kelliny’s office in so much pain because of my tooth, the pain was so bad that i just wanted to take the tooth out and not deal with it. dr. kelliny was highly recomended by my dentist, being the skeptical person that i am, i didnt even want to waste time getting a root canal and i just wanted to take the darn tooth out. the dr and his team were amazing. i was out of there in an hour including xrays taken pain free with a smile on my face. like i said im pretty skeptical and dont like to believe the hype. but i would recomend dr kelliny and his staff to anyone needing a root cana even though i dislike dentist. thanks doc for all your help.

I have had 4 root canals done by Dr. Kelliny (what can I say… I have bad teeth:() and each and everyone of them has been a surprisingly pleasant experience; from the prompt appointment to the pleasant staff to the super clean office, but most of all Dr. Kelliny. Like most people, I have a low pain tolerance and a general fear of all dental procedures, and most often u do not see a specialist unless, there is something wrong and/​or a great deal of pain is involved. Dr. Kelliny has been wonderful. He always checked that I was «doing ok» and that I was «not feeling» anything. He warned me if I was about to feel pressure etc… A few hours after the procedure, he personally called to make sure that I was ok… :) And I was !!! :)

If you need a root canal you must see Dr. kelliny. He is absolutely excellent! I would recommend him to everyone. I had a root canal an hour ago.(no pain) He was sweet and gentle and I had no pain during the procedure. He actually calmed me down.
I had to drive over an hour to see him and it was well worth it. His staff excellent and professional. He makes you feel your the only patient he has.
He has all the newest hi tech equipment so he can see things other doctors miss.

I had seen Dr. Kelliny to have a root canal done. He told me that there would be no problem with the root canal (even took xrays). After opening the area he told me that he was unable to perform the root canal and I would have to have the tooth pulled. He charged me a hefty price for 20 minutes. I have never been rushed out of a chair so fast. The good news is that I had the root canal done by another dentist and the tooth is doing very well.

This is the place to go if you need a root canal. Dr. Kelliny and his associates are top notch professionals and really make getting a root canal tolerable. The computerized x ray machine is pretty cool too.

Honestly, who wants to get a root canal?!? Not this guy, which is why I ignored it for over 10 months and paid the price in pain.
Well, all for not. Dr. Kelliny was amazing. It is one day later and I can actually chew on my right side with no pain and no pain killers. The man is a root canal Michelangelo.
The place only has three rooms, so was not overly crowded. It was intimate and made you feel like Stephen the patient, rather than the 2:00pm appt. Plus, they have the digital x-​ray machines, which I like.
That is all. I have another root canal coming up in a couple months. Defintiely going back. Thx Dr Kelliny.
