the women who work there are so nice and helpful. they have wide variety of things from foods, snack and candy, to gift items too! i have been to different british stores and by far this has the best selection. if i wasnt in a rush i could have spent a long time buying a lil bit of everything.
i am a forever customer and will be back.

My local British goods store oh how I love you! I urge all my fellow locals to support this business instead of shopping the small (and more expensive) selections at cost plus or other corporations. This family run business has the best product for your money and a customer service that can’t be compared anywhere else! One of the friendliest stores around!
My mother and stepdad are both from the UK so when holidays come around I always stop here for some gifts. :)

Oi this place is bloody brilliant. If you and your mates are in this bit of town out on the lash getting smashed or wankered and fancy some top quality GB merchandise be sure to pay’um a cheeky visit. The bloke behind the counter is an absolute ledge.

Craving England and all things English? You’re in luck the British connection is here. It really has something for everyone in the family. There’s a whole freezer filled with British foods. They have a good selection of British potato chips in flavors and tastes that are just not available in America. They have Weetabix and other breakfast cereals that you just can’t get here. Their selection of foods is really good. If you see something and you’re not sure how to cook it or prepare it go ahead and ask the staff there are very helpful.
They carry British beers and other beverages. They have British spices and soup mixes that are really nice. They seem to always be bringing in new items so there’s always something new and really interesting to discover.
My favorite part of the store is the chocolate section. English chocolate really tastes different and better than the American versions of the same thing. They have a huge range of wonderful chocolate not only from England but from other places as well. I always stock up on allsorts as they are always fresh and delicious. They have a good selection of English licorice as well. At Christmas time they have all kinds of special chocolate for stocking stuffers and even boxed sets to celebrate the holiday. Of course they have wonderful authentic English crackers for the Christmas table. How could you possibly resist these?
The owners are from England and they’re very kind and enthusiastic. If you want something and you don’t see it there great about doing custom orders. I’ve even ask them about places to visit and stay in England when planning for a trip and they were very generous with advice and really good suggestions. They are such nice people you want to come back just to say hello and chat.
They carry a nice selection of English tea cups and tea kettles they are really charming. They also have bags and knick-​knacks and things with a British thing. There are always free British papers in the front. I always think of coming to this enchanting shop as a little vacation and I think you will too.

A nice store with several British food items, souvenirs from the UK and even some English Football (soccer) items from the Premier League. Prices are a bit higher (probably close to what prices are like in England) than normal, but they have some unique items here. Worth a trip if you want to try things like mustard pickle, Cadbury chocolates or get a Manchester United hat.

Friendly store keepers! Brilliant little store with an splendid selection of English biscuits to go with your tea. Love their walker crisps and saw some beer flavoured ones too… should have grabbed a bag. But instead, I just picked up a tube of hard-​to-​find mcvities orange and chocolate flavoured biscuits. That is going to keep me happy for the rest of this week. I am going back for more and try out other snacks. Yummy!

Love this little shop, a piece of home close by! Lovely and very helpful owners, great staff and really friendly. Lovely to have a good old British natter! Things are a little pricey but then it’s goods they have to import or bring in from Irish production here in the USA. Some things you can get cheaper elsewhere but if you want to pretty much guarantee they stock a particular British favourite, if you go there you’re more or less guaranteed to pick it up. Also if they don’t have something they’re happy to try and get it for you or even phone you when an item is back in stock. Such good kind people, reminds me of my childhood, when the little village shop always had time for you and everyone knew each other. The supermarkets now in the UK have wiped those out more or less and they don’t stop to chat like they do here in the US. I always forget something though, oh dear, an excuse to pop back for another natter! ;-)

Been coming here for years. After a trip to London, my wife and I discovered that the British Connection sells some of our favorite goodies from across the pond. The owners are super-​sweet and always very pleasant. The prices are reasonable given the rigamarole they must have to go through getting things shipped over. The candy selection is amazing, but even better are THE BAGS OF CRISPS! Now we take our kids here, too. For them it’s the Turkish Delight. We also have hanging in our living room an amazing art piece we purchased here, a laser carving of the Tower Clock from the Palace of Westminster. I remember that when I purchased it years and years ago, the owner actually came down on the price for me. Love this place!

My husband and I visited this store for the first time, and we loved it. We went crazy and bought a bunch of imported snacks, clotted cream, and bangers. It can definitely be pricey, but everything we got was delicious! Not to mention, the owners were super sweet and funny, and yes, they are british!
They also carry party decorations, souvenirs, and gifts. Definitely will go back when we have a craving.

The store is absolutely lovely. My husband and I drive past this cute store on Torrance frequently and always mean to visit but had never been inside until Easter Sunday! We were immediately charmed by the fully stocked merchandize and the hardworking Brit, Gemma, that provided excellent customer service. We purchased an authentic and delicious chocolate Cadbury bar and an adorable British post box souvenir. We love London, so this is a great shop to have in our neighborhood. For those Unilocalers that are not aware, British food products have little to no preservatives and no GMOs, so their candy bars and food products are delicious and better for you than our American counter parts.

Love this place because it reminds me of home. Moved to LA and don’t get me wrong I love it here but I do miss home at times. This store rekindles a few memories that I have with the Cadbury chocolates to the Shepard pie.

I think it’s a bad thing that this place is near my work. On my first trip here I spent $ 61! Such a nice cozy store filled with products from England. From meat pies to PG Tips. They also have souvenirs, but on this trip I stayed on the food side. I bought a few meat pies (the Shepherds Pie is yummy) PG Tips, Baked Beans. I was tempted to buy the Tango Apple soda. Maybe on my next trip. Try this place if you miss the little British comfort items like I do.

WONDERFUL place and wonderful people! I got to meet the owners and their granddaughter when I stopped by and they were all very kind and sweet. They have a variety of British goods, some hard to find items. I can’t wait to come back! Definitely recommend this place. :)

My boyfriend read an article about how Hershey’s is blocking British-​made Cadbury chocolate from entering the US. He had seen the British Connection store but he has never gone there so we went last weekend and as others have said, the owners are super friendly and they have a big selection of British goods. So, we bought some chocolate and it is delicious. There is definitely a difference in taste between the imported chocolate and the U.S. chocolate. So we unfortunately won’t be able to buy any more delicious chocolate due to the ban but will definitely go back to try other things.

My (British) Boyfriend and I popped into this cute little shop while we were killing time before visiting with friends in Torrance on Christmas Eve. Yes, they were indeed open the day before Christmas.
The owners who gave us a warm greeting as we strolled in were very sweet, friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of imported British Food and Gifts. My BF was getting nostaligic and stated the sights were reminiscent of his childhood and growing up in England.
As we wandered around the isles, the owners were chatting to us as well as the patrons who were coming in to grab some last minute gifts and treats with many suggestions of specialty «British» foods in the refrigerated/​frozen section as well as naming popular candies and favorites. It was nice to see the owners interact and chat with everyone who came in. It definitely is a place for those transplants from England to get their British fix. It has been a long time since I had been to London but it sure made me feel like a kid again recognizing some of the brands from the short time I lived there.
We left with a some gift items like mince pies, Cadbury Roses boxes and a couple other English specialty treats. Will definitely be back as this was a great find with cool British items and cool British peeps.
There is a pretty big parking lot with designated spaces just for The British Connection.

My son is a HUGE Mars bar fan — not the Mars bars that I grew up on, but the kind only available in other countries — London being one of them. In the past, I’d have to order from
but now I simply hop in the car and go down the street!
Since we’d just been to London a few years ago, the kids and I had loads of fun reminiscing about the brands and foods we don’t usually see — some we recognized what their American translation may be, others not. They also had vegemite that I hadn’t talked about since working at an Australian company. They have an extensive Cadbury selection — those of us on this side of the pond only know that brand best for the overly sweet eggs that come out at Easter!
They had a bunch of fun tchotchkies as well to help bring more of a British flavor to your home or for any special occasion — such as a tea party! This is one of those things I can use to bribe (yes, I admit it, I bribe/​reward my kids for good behavior) my kids with because it’s special enough that they can’t find it easily and it does still tug on the heart strings reminding them of the family trip we all took!
Our Three-​thumb review were 3 thumbs up! My son would give it 2 thumbs up on his own if he could for the Mars bars and the chuckle over Spotted Dick in a can (what is that?!)! My daughter loves any excuse to buy a treat or souvenir. I find the place incredibly charming and when I try to Eat, Pray, Love in the Wild then I will go there for supplies to help induce a mental vacation.

Looking for different type of gift for a friend. So I thought I would try this place out. It was very nice and they had many things that you normally do not find in the states.
I purchased a tea cozy. For around $ 30 dollars. My friend loved it.
Stp by and take a look. Plenty of parking.

Great little shop! Friendly owner and a fun selection of British goods. The clearance table had some really fun items so I enjoyed perusing for a while. Good to know when I’m in town and a craving hits, I have somewhere to go!

Whoa… Did I just walk into the Tesco express on Camden Road? This place is awesome! I’m not english, but I lived in London for a spell and man how I’ve missed my English eats. They had all of my faves, cadbury bars, Time Outs, and McVities Digestives (which I’m enjoying right now with my tea). Kinda wish I’d picked up a bottle of Ribena… Next time I guess. I’ll definitely be back to this awesome store. The selection is incredible and the woman who helped my mom and I was super friendly. So happy we have this place in the south bay!

OK 5 stars, but yes I’m biased… I’m a Brit !!!
I used to drive to Santa Monica for a pint in «The King’s Head» and then shopping in the little shop connected to it. Don’t get me wrong, still go to SM for a pint and a fryup, but when you have a craving and the drive is too much for only a bag of crisps, this is a Godsend. They have the typical things people who aren’t British like to buy for their British friends, such as fancy and impractical teapots, books and loud aprons. However more importantly they have crisps, back bacon, sausages, pork pies, fruit pastilles and Mr Kipling goodies. I shop here to support a local business and fellow Brits, however I believe that they may have placed a curse upon my wallet, as I rarely escape here under $ 50 !!
