The best custom jewelry around. I wear five of their pieces constantly and get comments from people of all walks of life. Yes, Derrick designed all the pieces worn in the Expendables and those worn by many rock stars and other celebs. Plus Derrick is just an honest down-​to-​earth good guy.
They treat everyone right in all their business dealings and I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. My favorite place to visit in LA!

Oh man, since first discovering this place and meeting Derrick & Leonard, my Steel Flame blang collection has GROWN! From nothing… over the year my girlfriend won a knuckle duster necklace in a giveaway, and I’ve gotten for her the heart KillboX, heart KillboX earrings, and the «Love Conquers All» pendant.
I have been the «victim» of some tremendous generosity on the part of friends on the Usual Suspect Network as well as through Derrick & Leonard themselves. I will not list which is a gift or which I bought, but in total I have a Bronze Guardian, Bronze Darkness clip, 5mm KB chain, a Darkness lanyard holder, and Steel Flame’s two signature pieces, the Axe Link Bracelet (sterile) and a .45 KillboX that Derrick let me shoot myself under his supervision!
The bottom line is that these guys provide a great service, top quality blang, and I am honored to be friends with them.

I was in Vegas for the Usual Suspects Gathering and Steel Flame had a Booth Set Up. Steel Flame is a Custom Jewelry Manufacturer. A lot of Celebrities wear Steel flame like Sylvester Stallone and others.
There Signature Piece is there Axe Link Bracelet. They are quite a distinctive piece.
I attended the Gathering and was able to acquire an Axe Link Bracelet though Leonard one of the Steel flame Reps and also a fellow Suspect.
It is one of my favorite pieces of Bling.

I love wearing a 9 mm bullet hole around my neck. It is artfully captured in a square sterling silver box measuring one inch on each side. This is my KillboX pendant. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.
One of Steel Flame’s most prominent signature pieces is the KillboX pendant, an item which has gone through several iterative improvements over nearly two decades to evolve into the elegant piece of jewelry that we enjoy today. The concept is simple. As I have described in abstract, it consists of a sheet of silver which is shot with a bullet in the caliber of your size: .22, 9 mm, .45, and even 12 gauge slug. This is then mounted to a stylized square box cast of silver or brass with four screws – one on each corner. I wear mine around my neck on a 3 mm, 20″ Talon Chain (also from Steel Flame). When worn, it stands out as a larger piece of jewelry, but at passing glance, it looks like a simple piece of jewelry; only the person wearing it knows that it was made with a bullet hole.
In addition to chains and pendants, other notable offerings include aggressive and chunky bracelets, decorative beads, bold rings, dog tags, money clips, knife accessories, and more. One major motif in SF bling is the skull. I have taken a look at skulls from other mainstream designers (King Baby, Ed Hardy, etc), and I find that the skulls that Derrick carves are more masculine, sinister, and aggressive. His designs are truly at the top of the pack. I also love how he is able to integrate tritium (low-​radioactivity continuous glow-​in-​the-​dark vials) into his pieces to make them even more striking.
Customer service has been great, and I have dealt with both Jennifer and Leonard in placing several orders. (Yes, I have enjoyed their pieces so much that I have ordered several times and now have a different pendant for every weekday.) Derrick, the designer and master craftsman behind Steel Flame, has also personally responded to some of my questions which I think is very cool.
Their prices are in line with other boutique jewelers. They’re not cheap, but you get what you pay for: exclusive and attractive pieces that are made in the USA with great attention to detail. And you have an awesome team to contact if you ever have any questions or problems with your piece. It’s just the wait that kills me; because they are a relatively low-​volume shop, they make many of their pendants to order.
Currently, my favorite Steel Flame chain is the 3 mm Killbox Chain (very similar to the David Yurman box chain), and my favorite pendants are the 9 mm KillboX Pendant and the Large Sancte Michael Pendant. One day, I hope to be able to afford one of Derrick’s Crusader Axe Link bracelets. It is easily one of the most masculine and attention-​grabbing men’s bracelets on the market today. It laughs in the face of the more restrained designer bracelets that you might see at Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom… one day… one day.
