Zoyla is amazing! I was about to get roped into the Public Storage scam for $ 1 for the first month and Zoyla took the time to explain how your services work in great detail. I went back into Public Storage and asked what the total was and when the first payment for next month would be due. I was shocked to find out the price was much higher than what they said initially over the phone. I then immediately called Zoyla and she gave me an amazing deal half the price of What Public Storage was offer and the quality of the So Cal Self Storage facility is ten times better than Public Storage. It’s like comparing a can of Spam to a filet mignon, there is just no comparison.
I am so pleased with my savings and my new friend Zoyla!
If you are looking for a storage unit use So Cal Self Storage but don’t take my word for it, try them NOW!

I can’t say enough great things about Zoyla and SoCal Self Storage! In the midst of a divorce and move, Zoyla was incredibly helpful and so easy to work with which was a huge stress reliever for me. The storage areas are convenient, clean and well managed. The process of moving/​out was easy as well. I would highly recommend SoCal Self Storage to anyone!

I was a customer years ago. Back probably 7 or so. Came back awhile back to the same clean, bright, courteous, good priced & secured self storage I know. In a way, good to be home. Never had any problems.

Simple process to rent a unit. I never had any trouble accessing the facility during open hours. Felt secure enough to where I didn’t have to worry about my stuff being stolen etc.
There was some mis-​communication about terminating my rental unit use when I no longer needed it but once I called customer service they were more than willing to help me sort it out!

A clean, secure facility with friendly management. They cooperate with the moving companies. We had two storage lockers here for several years, with no problems other than a few billing glitches which were resolved quickly in our favor. I’d use them again.

I am a Real Estate Broker who manages several apartment buildings in the South Bay Area. I needed to store an outgoing tenants personal belongings until they could be claimed. I also needed to get the property empty and looking great for showings ASAP. I hadn’t planned how exactly it needed to happen but after phoning several different storage unit companies in the Torrance area I decided to go with SO CAL self storage on Miracopa St.
The girl who answered the phone was named Zoyla. She was very helpful on the phone & went out of her way to explain the different size storage units and what amount of furniture would fit in each.
I kept forgetting her name and was embarrassed so I finally asked if I could call her «Z» for short. She laughed and said it was fine then continued to help me. «Z“explained the different discounts for each of the size units and also helped me with the «free» rental truck, which really was free as long as I returned it by 5:30pm and replaced the gas I used.
After a long day packing up someone else’s belongings and transporting them for safe keeping, it was very pleasant to see «Z» waiting to help show us the easiest way to unload the huge furniture and get it locked up for safe keeping. She had several other customers come in to ask her questions or get help and she managed to get all of our questions answered and solved any problems as needed.
I will surely use this location for all of my business storage needs and highly recommend it to my friends for personal storage.
P. s. I read a few negative reviews and cannot understand what caused these people to say such negative & personally insulting things about this business and the manager. She was always available, in person and on the phone. The storage units are secure, clean, bright inside and have controlled secure access. Plus, you can add insurance coverage if your homeowners Insurance does not cover your belongings while in storage. The convenience of

Pictures posted say a thousand words explaining why I rated so poorly. Place your things here at your own risk and hope they don’t get stolen is all I can say. You are better off placing them in your front yard.

Security is a negative and without security, what is the point of keeping it here. Waste of money.
Made reservation online a week in advance. Came during open hours and sign on door said they were out until 2:00pm. I did not receive a phone call saying they would be out. Nor does it say on the website that you need to call ahead of time to see if they are in the office. Tried to call before I got there and couldn’t get a hold of the manager, but the website says they are open. The operator (located elsewhere) even said they were open as that is what is stated on the website. Called SoCal company again about this (located elsewhere) and they said they couldn’t do anything about it or get a hold of the manager. Keep in mind that I rented a UHAUL for x amount of time and needed to return it within 2 hours. I was there around 12pm and saw that sign saying they were taking a 2 hour lunch break. I waited past 2pm and they had still not arrived. During this time that I waited, I noticed that the door to ALL of the storage units were open along with the gate to enter with your car. In addition, the back door (only supposed to be accessible to the manager) was also open which contained: bolt cutters, the security system, and all the supplies they charge you for. This means anyone could enter and STEAL your things! There was bolt cutters in the back room and someone could easily muck with the security system to erase all proof. SERIOUSLY?! To top it all off, some people came by and backed up their truck right in front of the door and another came by with bolt cutters. They claimed they were not stealing, but that they lost their key to their unit and tried to contact the manager but couldn’t get a hold of them previously and again today, the manager was still not around. So because they couldn’t get a hold of the manager to break the lock, they brought their own bolt cutters to do it and then started loading up their truck with furniture and whatever else they had. I didn’t stay to witness it all as it was past 2 and I had already waited there for over an hour waiting for the manager. Go to any other storage facility and they will tell you it is against their policy for you to cut your own lock because doing so would make it easy for anyone to steal, but apparently not here. The company will tell you that the manager works 70hrs/​week so deserves a lunch break, which by all means, take a lunch break, but you should notify your customers and change the office hours that you are open. Also, apparently she isn’t always around since no one can get a hold of her, so they are paying her to not even be there and manage the storage facility. This place is a joke and totally unsafe. And what kind of company can’t get a hold of their own manager, but only have the office number? It is not a good sign when even they can’t contact or manage their own manager. I never received a call back from the manager after leaving a message too saying that I was waiting. Bad service. You shouldn’t trust to leave your personal things with someone that you can’t get a hold of during open hours or during emergencies. Go to other facilities where there are people onsite ²⁴⁄₇. It’s sad because had the manager been there, I probably would have moved into the storage facility as it appeared to be clean, but after seeing how bad the security is, I am glad I didn’t.

This place was wonderful while Kathy ran it for the 15 years she was here. She was always pleasant and very friendly. I am sad that they transfered her. The girl that took her place is blah and not very helpful. You might as well stick a clown in the office you might get more answers from it then you would her. Now that Kathy is gone I will no longer store my stuff here and wouldn’t suggest anyone else too. I’ve never had problems until they replaced her. Sad to see Kathy go but as she goes I will also go with my business. You can’t find generous and helpful friendly anymore and when you do there few and far in between. Kathy was amazing and I would follow her where ever she goes with my stuff. She was quality you can’t find anymore. As for this new girl I have very few words for her. She’s not very bright my daughter is friendlier then her. I will never again step foot in this location.

We are so glad we found SoCal Self Storage down the street from our previous storage place. We came in the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday and Amber helped us by showing us several units. I was surprised to see the metal sheeting enclosures instead of the drywall (other storage). Also, there are security cameras, and the unit we decided to get has two rollup doors and is 10X20 but same price as the one we moved out of that was 10×15. Amber was very informative to help us chose the unit that was right for us. Her friendly and upbeat attitude was refreshing. She told us we could use our own locks, and we didn’t have to pay for one month insurance because we have renters insurance (had to pay 1^st month at other storage). We were out of there in time to watch the game. When moving in later that week, we were greeted with smiles and conversation from Amber and Cathie and our move went smooth. One day we found broken glass at the code box and told Amber and it was cleaned up by the time we returned for a second unloading. Once we were done with our big move from other storage to here, we were offered free waters. The building is very clean and well lit, and I was glad to see no electrical outlets in the units because at the other storage we would see people working in their units. We are very pleased with the SoCal Self Storage and feel our stuff is safely locked in our unit.

Great price… clean and secured storage. Ms Amber Adams was very professional and gave excellent customer service. I love her!!!

So Cal Storage is clean and well run. Amber helped me choose a storage unit that meets my needs perfectly. She is friendly and knowledgeable. I actually enjoy visiting with her when i drop off my payments.

This is the best place for self storage. We were assisted by Amber. She is awesome. She was very helpful and very friendly. We had originally rented space here over a year ago and decided to stop by and check for prices since we are moving back to this area, but after speaking with Amber we decided not to go anywhere else. We are definitely VERY SATISFIED with Amber and with Socal Self Storage.

Amber made every effort to accommodate my storage needs. Seriously. I had an emergency and needed a specific sized unit, in a specific time frame, in a specific price range. She searched the database, and chose 3 units that fit my description. She was also conscientious enough to offer a unit that had a few extra feet — just in case. I am glad she did… I needed the extra wiggle room and freedom to quickly pack my stuff without suffering to make it all fit.

Conflicted about this place. On one hand, this place seems to be a simple, clean storage facility — one that deserves a much higher rating than I gave it, and more in line with other reviews.
The reason I’m giving them such a low rating is because of the atttitude of one of the employees regarding their truck rental. The odometer read the same on the dahsboard when we returned the truck as when we recieved the vehicle — a figure which was written down and signed off on by another employee. We only went the equivalent of a city block and only rented a truck briefly to move a couple pieces of big furniture. Of course, when we come back another employee checks the car, claims we went about 5 miles further then we actually did, dismisses the signed paper and goes to a computer which has a different odometer figure somehow typed in, and gave us attitude claiming we didn’t put enough gas back in despite the fuel line being at the same place (margin of error, fraction of a hair at most). Really?!
The shenanigans only stopped when we had her call the original elderly employee who rented us the truck — who of course said everything was fine. The one who gave us attitude then claimed she was «letting you off the hook». Again, really?! That’s how you’ve been trained to talk to customers?!
BTW, I have extensive video walkthrough of the vehicle I shot prior to rental (a habit born of bad car rental experiences before) so I can be 100% certain that she was flat out being bogus — so I actually was having a bit of an issue containing myself from laughing at how incredulous she was being.
Just because of this rude employee, I’ve contacted my bank to prevent them from charging my card for bogus issues that she may conjure up at some other point.
Anyways, other than this incidence, the facility is nice, clean and seems very secure. The original elderly employee with the short hair was a delight — try to deal with her if you can. Just… if you must, try to find a different method of transporting big items here.

I would always use this storage facility anytime I am here in the South Bay, and I have used a few shady ones by accident in the past, but Cathie and her team here at SoCal storage and that is Cathie, Travis and Breeana put the feeling of family back in to corporate in the way they dealt with me, they are wonderful and the facility is so clean and well cared for as well.
I recently returned from Maui and had to pick up my stuff for a move to Florida and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating and friendly on my departure as they were on my arrival. Truly nice and professional.
I am more than happy to recommend there services and would return to them in a heartbeat.

I love the option to have the moving truck for free– it really made it a lot easier to move my stuff. The facility was nice and clean, and the free month was another great deal. The facility feels safe.

I stored here for 2+ years. Simple, clean and easy. They were always very helpful and also understanding in this tough economy. Kathy and all the other staff are professional and provide excellent service. Highly recommended.

I’ve heard horror stories about other storage facilities without alarms on individual gates, leaks in the roof or filthy neighbors with creepy crawly friends, my stuff is secure here! The staff is extremely friendly and the facility is clean with reasonable pricing. Overall I think it’s a great facility.

My wife and I have been using their services for about a year now. Although we are moving out because we now have adequate space for our ‘junk’, we have to say that we have very much enjoyed using their services. It is well run and the people have only been the most helpful and polite. The place is kept spotless — I recommend them fully!

Great place, good pricing and excellent staff. They have always been helpful when changing our self storage needs. Cathy, Rafiel and crew were very helpful when my family had to move twice in a one month period due to renavations. They assisted us in getting a dependable moving crew that worked out great! The facilities are always clean and I recommend them when friends are looking for self storage. Keep up the good work!
