Cheap take-out sushi located inside of a Korean supermarket called S-mart. The sushi quality is good for the price($ 5.50 for all rolls). They have a menu of about 15 – 20 standard rolls(dragon roll, rainbow roll, cali rolls, etc etc). Most people seemed to have called and ordered in advance. But remember, this place is cash only!

If u call at 8pm, they won’t answer your call or take your order because they are closed when they actually closed at 830pm. Wat a waste. Drove here n couldn’t get my order in … Nice customer service.

Well I guess I shouldn’t have expected much from low price sushi but OMG I had 3 rolls and all 3 of them tasted like soap. My stomach turned for hours… Maybe I got a bad batch but I’ll pass on trying it again. Cheep sushi not good, good sushi not cheep.

Formerly known as Haru Sushi, this business recently changed their store name to «Sushi N Go». I’ve been coming here for a long time, but never sought to write a review on it. Regardless, this is THE spot to get lunch on a budget! Every specialty roll is around $ 5, and the quality AND quantity is SUPERB. It’s always fresh, and well-prepared. I always get the baked salmon roll when I come here, and it never disappoints! Portions are not stingy at all, and the salmon is mouth watering good!!! If you haven’t come here yet, you seriously are missing out. This is the place that everyone in the Southbay raves about. Lines can be long during lunch hours, so it’s always best to call ahead and order for pick up. Orders are TOGO only!

Pleasantly surprised since I think 95% of sushi in LA is overrated … This Is quite good for a price point of easily HALF of any restaurant… It’s all take out and cash from what seems to be a slightly more run– down yet homey version of marukai or mitsuwa… If I am completely honest– I liked these rolls twice as much as many I’ve paid twice the price for… I was actually annoyed that I couldn’t stop eating them. That’s due in part to my poor deprived palate living in LAMISSINGSF, NYC, CHICAGO, he’ll, anywhere but here …

Good food, service, and price, however the selection is kinda lacking. My daughter and I had 10 pieces of nigiri and an avocado roll. Be aware most of the rolls they offer have a California roll-type base. It’s inside S-Mart so it’s convenient if you have a little grocery shopping to do while you wait for your order.

For the price, this place meets the mark. Recommended by another fellow Unilocaler and friend, I found myself craving some sushi but wanted to avoid the hassles of dining out. Situated inside the S-Mart is Haru Sushi or Sushi N Go(same business). A nice Korean lady took my order for a lunch combo which includes 5 piece assorted sushi and Cali Roll. For the 5 piece assorted combo, I chose salmon and tuna. I also ordered the Hoedeopbap which in English is raw fish with rice and vegetables. It’s sorta of like a Korean version of chirashi bowl, but spicy due to the Korean red spicy paste. About 10 minutes later, my order was ready. As I normally do, I checked my order in the neatly wrapped plastic bag and noted they gave me a spicy tuna roll instead of a California roll. The Korean lady, with a smile, fixed my order. Off to home I went and I tried what I ordered. Everything was good. The California roll was meaty and tasted fresh. The two pieces of salmon were buttery and the tuna tasted rich. For the price I paid, I expected grocery store sushi, but what I tried was much better. The Hoedeopbap tasted fresh and they provided an ample amount of sushi rice, raw fish, and vegetables. Excellent value for $. The take-out packaging was packed tight and everything you would need to eat sushi including chopsticks, soy sauce packets, ginger, wasabi, and even two bowls of miso soup. All in all, excellent value and convenient location especially if you live in the area or shop regularly S-Mart.

Best sushi place ever! My boyfriend and I always go here for our stay at home dinner days. My favorite is the red dragon roll, but their basic California roll and spicy tuna roll are pretty good too! They recently raised their prices to 5.45 as opposed to 4.99, but it’s still pretty cheap compared to all the other sushi restaurants around. As for the wait, it’s best to call in an order ahead of time because they do usually get busy lunch and dinner time. It takes about 15 – 20 minutes and it’s all to go orders anyway. Definitely one of my favorite places for cheap and good food!

1. CASHONLY2. Inside a Market While running errands I became a bit hungry and thought a roll of sushi would hit the spot. I pulled up my Unilocal app and found this place in my area… When I arrived I took a double look at the address because I hadn’t paid attention to the fact that it was inside a MARKET… my first thought was«Strange» but the reviews and the distance made me stay… Glad i did. I ordered the dragon roll, it was delicious and inexpensive. I want to say that they offer about 10 different rolls(give or take). When I arrived someone was picking up a variety of rolls, enough to serve a gathering and after i ordered about 3 other families arrived to place an order. Good sign right =) They don’t sell beverages but you are inside of a market and near the entrance there was a place that looked like they serve teas and stuff.

We all love a good sale, but we can all agree that some things shouldn’t be half off. Sushi is definitely one such thing. I had serious misgivings about Haru. $ 5.49 per giant roll is a risk that could quickly turn into a gastrointestinal adventure. The Caterpillar, Spider, and Double Shrimp Rolls are the safest options — they’re fully cooked, and deep frying kills germs. The more adventurous told, the Alaska Roll and the Rainbow Roll were also surprisingly good. Crudely rolled but topped with indisputably fresh fish, they’re quite the steal for $ 5.49 each. The Haedupbap is the bibimbap of sushi, and this entire giant bowl for the price of a single roll is quite a steal. Okay, fine, so Haru didn’t make the best sushi in town, but even Mitsuwa can’t beat $ 5.49 per roll.

Finally got a chance to hit up the S Mart for sushi. It is cash only, but conveniently there is a bank next door! Somehow we avoided peak hours, because I only needed to wait about 10 minutes, max. The rolls we ordered were only $ 5.49 each — where else can you get two rolls for $ 11?! While you wait, feel free to peruse the aisles, and try the samples. I was hesitant, only because I didn’t understand any of the signs or recognize any of the food. Next time, I will be more adventurous. If you want sushi during peak hours, do call it in ahead of time.

Sushi from a grocery store is not my go to but when it comes to getting my sushi fix asap this is where I come. I’ve only had the shrimp crunch roll and the second time I went I made it 2 shrimp crunch rolls. SOOO Good. And heed the warning, call in your order because it will often take 30 mins+. I wold even consider catering from here because the prices are that good and the rolls are yummy!

Yargh me mateys, greetings from the S.S. Imitation Crab. Thar be the perfect sushi parlor for me mates in the s-mart on Torrance and Crenshaw. We kill the imitation crab and need it in all our meals — slathered in the mayonnaise! We be not fooled by the allure of genuine crab with its salty filth. imitation be the wave of the future! $ 5.50 per roll(as of May 2016) suits our wallets well. 15 choices that you may see in me «smart» «phone» picture below. Friendly wench at the register. Hard working men manning the rice. No dine in but we do not care. We be sailors, wandering the world eating imitation crab.

Yeah, the prices are great like everyone else says, but for some reason I didn’t trust the sushi. The fish smelt a little strange to me. Also, the rolls were very sloppily made, as in everything fell apart when I picked up a piece. Quantity is not better than quality, and although the pieces are HUGE, they were almost too big. They threw on slabs of salmon on the rolls and I couldn’t even fit each piece into my mouth. I felt kind of gross after.

I have been eating sushi from Marukai market, so I thought I would give Haru a try since it seemed like a more genuine restaurant(where I can see someone make my sushi). This place is located inside S-Mart. I didn’t listen to all of fellow Unilocaler’s advice and didn’t call in my order. As such, my wait time for sushi pickup at 12:30 on a Monday? 20 minutes. Boo! But, no matter, I just shopped around S-mart and they had ladies who were giving out samples. Score! I decided on the 10 piece sushi and the Alaska roll. This place is cash only, so make sure to bring cash. The price was relatively cheap, the total for my food was around $ 15. I have to say that I didn’t think the food was too good. I know it’s cheap, but the fish did not taste very fresh for my sushi order. And my roll had soooo much rice in it, it was almost overwhelming. I think that the sushi at Marukai is better for similar price and tastes fresher. Overall, I was relatively disappointed by the food. For the price, I thought it was average, but I wished that it was a little better to make me want to come back here.

Switched from Haru Sushi to SushiNGo… I still have it Haru Sushi in my phone because I like it. 5* because I do go here once a week in my rotation of places to eat and so that deserves it. Affordable and delicious with lots of variety… just how I like it. Typically I always order the Red Dragon Roll as my go-to, a consistently satisfying option. Next, I might order a second, maybe third wild card option. My usual order consists of: The Red Dragon, Double Shrimp, and California Tempura. If you are unsure what to start with this has always been a good combination. Of course, 3 rolls can be shared by 2 – 3 people. This time, in particular, I decided to go with the following: The Red Dragon, Sumo Roll, Stinky Roll The Sumo Roll is a hot roll and it is very dense, yet delicious. In comparison to the Salmon Roll(also, hot and dense) I prefer the Sumo. The Stinky roll is stinky because it has garlic and onion and, believe me, it will leave your breath kickin’. However, it is very, very good. I’ve tried the Rainbow Roll before and if you are craving something light and fresh, this along with the Double Shrimp are good options. The Dragon roll is great too! My two least favorite options are the Spider Roll and the Philadelphia. I have tried the Hawaiian, Sunset, and Caterpillar but don’t remember it all that well. Don’t forget! Cash Only, Tip Welcomed, Inside Smart Market, Call Ahead! That should do it.

Nice spot for some great BANGFORBUCK sushi… if you’re looking for a cheap date… Haru Sushi and some Redbox/Netflix will get night going lol Anyways! Haru isn’t the best sushi I ever had, but I find that Haru is perfect if you are: A) Craving sushi B) Don’t want to spend tons of money C) Are OK with taking it to-go! With that being said, A, B, & C apply to me 99.9% of the time! There’s about 15 different rolls and they are DELICIOUS and HUGE. They don’t skimp on any ingredients and you’ll definitely leave satisfied. Rolls are all $ 5 each with some specials ranging from $ 2.50-$ 3.50 as well. Nice gem located inside S-Mart…go all the way to back, it’s on the far wall with all of the other vendors! And oh yeah, CASHONLY! ENJOY :)

Can’t get any better for a 5 dollar roll. We cruised by S-Mart for some kimchi and stumbled upon this little gem. The 5 dollar sign for a roll caught my eye. I thought wtheck… give it a shot. There were several rolls listed and we choose the albacore roll to go. It was cash only and since it was like 8pm(near closing) the roll was prepared very quickly as traffic must have died down. I didn’t check the roll until we got home but once opened, dam it was HUGE. I opened up the roll a bit and realized this meal was definitely fit for 2. The roll was seriously 3 inches in diameter and filled with spicy tuna and avacado on the inside and lined with albacore and onions on the outside. The tuna had the perfect kick and texture of food sushi. Far from the best but far from average if that even makes sense haha. The albacore was legit. There were also generous portions of wasabi and ginger. Overall, great value for only 5 dollars. would have easily been 12 dollars at a sit down restaurant. Will be back to try the sumo roll soon!

Burn me at the stake. Flay me. Throw me into the lion’s den. But this place has insanely cheap and delicious sushi. Yes the fish isn’t from Poseidon himself but the quality is still pretty decent. Variety is also lacking with only a few types of fish honestly who cares, the sushi is $ 5 for a roll! Go to any other sushi restaurant and you’re easily paying $ 8-$ 20 per roll. At least here, you get good sushi for cheap. When you have a limited budget but still want to enjoy the joy that is sushi, this is the place to go to. Oh, it’s cash only so be prepared for that. Maybe one day when I sell my soul and organs then I’ll go to a high end sushi restaurant, but for now, Haru Sushi is more than enough for me.
