this guy is one Horrible excuse for a Human. one of the worst experiences I EVER HAD! if you like being treated RUDELY and OVER CHARGED !! !this is the place for you .can I please give negative stars

Worst lock smith ever. Made the mistake of calling him when I lived in Redondo. He ripped me off and did sub-​standard work. I would avoid this guy if at all possible. I had him replace an apartment lock and put on a keypad. He murdered the door (looks like crap) and wanted $ 1200! The best part is how he walked in the apartment saw it was ocean front and said «you must have money». Great way to start.

Been here twice during stated business hours, the front door has an «open» sign but is locked. Not going to bother wasting another trip. Waste of time.

Second time my employer has used Lazimi lock & key and we are always impressed by their punctuality, dependability and friendliness.

When I moved into my new home, I had my locks replaced by Lazimi. The cost was $ 1000.00 to replace the locks on my 3 entry doors and to key them all the same. This price seemed exorbitant to me but I went ahead with the work anyway. It has been 3 years since I did this. One of the deadbolt locks is now not working. I called Lazimi and asked if he could repair it. He said he could but he was going to charge me for it. I thought that given the large amount of money that he charged for the original work, that he should do this free of charge.

I called this company because they were convenient but wish I had read the Unilocal reviews first. Never again! The technician was not on time, was surly and unprofessional. $ 140 to install (my own) deadbolt which took exactly 10 minutes. When I said that the price seemed high, he said he didn’t like my attitude. He was nasty, left wood shavings all over the floor and tossed the old lock on the porch «in case I needed it.» The worst.

Complete rip off. They obviously try to price gouge if they think they can. They thought my lock came off an old house in the Hollywood Riviera so they tried to change me $ 75 for a simple re-​key. I want to Torrance Lock & Security a few miles away and got in done in 10min for $ 15. Speaks for itself. I hope this place goes out of business.

If you like being ripped off and have rude service: use Lazimi Lock and Key. I agree with those who think this place deserves zero stars. Had a safety latch put on our sliding door. The locksmith who came here was surly and rude and charged 185 dollars! Never, ever again will we use this company for our locks.

I went in to Lazimi lock & key because I lost my original key and I had to copy a key. The service was fantastic and very professional! I will be back again for sure!

I swear, this business doesn’t get the recognition they deserve, and I’m serious. We needed to change two locks in a rental property, and I got the rates over the phone, and when I decided to go forward with the services the guy was at my door in 15 minutes.
We dealt with a very professional and courteous gentleman, and will Definitely be back!

First of all, DON’T USE THIS PLACE!

How this place has been licensed since 1972 stumps me.
Now to the meat and potatoes… My dad was duped by Lazimi Lock & Key to buy a key system designed for commercial use (all he needed was 2 residential locks).
Two locksmiths showed up and started working immediately and before you could blink an eye were presenting my dad with a price that was more than 3 times what we expected. (granted it was a weekend and we were sort of in a bind, but WOW!) I went out to complain about the price and got into a heated exchange with Adam B. (who I found out was fired recently) and he agreed to take off a substantial amount. Here’s the catch: Cash had to be paid and I couldn’t deal with him anymore; it must be my dad who finished the transaction. At this point we just wanted them to leave so the money was paid and we decided that we’d chalk this up as a loss.
I feel that if I wouldn’t have came to my parents residence that day the locksmith would’ve used coercive and intimidating tactics to strong-​arm them into paying exorbitant fees for locksmith services.
There is a reason why this place doesn’t have one review on here that is positive. I hope the so-​called manager Chris reads this and knows who I am! STOP trying to strong arm people that come from an era that they could trust people.
Unilocal should have a ZERO Rating, 1 star just doesn’t sum up their service!

Awful! They changed my patio lock and ended up not even having the correct parts to finish the job. I had to wait two more weeks before I could even get someone back to fix it. Then when they came back to fix their first botched job they left without even trying the new key out. My fault for thinking I could trust them. New key didn’t even fit the lock they replaced. I didn’t even bother asking them to come back and fix their mistake again. No point in being served a third poor performance on their part. Going with Olde Town lock and key in Torrance from now on!

I went to Lazimi lock & key to see if they could open up my trunk because I’d locked my keys in there (oops!). They started picking at my lock and being a bit forceful with it and they weren’t able to open it.
Thankfully, I managed to take out my seats and got into my trunk and got my keys! I went to open my trunk, to find that the lock was broken!(I forgot to mention that my trunk was completely fine before I went to Lazimi.) I went back to Lazimi and they said that it was broken before I got there, and he called me a liar and was completely rude and condescending!
Lazimi is terrible. I went to another locksmith that said that lazimi is notorious for scamming older women who don’t know much about locks & keys & such!
If I could give them 0 stars I would!

I went in to get two keys made and a keychain, the woman at the counter was fast, efficient and quite helpful. They even have an extensive line of electronic safes, with a two hour fire coating on them for extra insulation and protection!
The only drawback is they take credit and debit cards with with a $ 25 minimum, so the woman actually gave me the items with the receipt and trusted me enough to go to the bank and get cash, which I did and returned right back. They really value the honor system. Refreshing to see a business like this still around these days. I’ll definitely be back and refer them to everyone I know!

These new owners are a joke. They have a really nice cashier working for them but you could tell she is scared to approach them with any questions. It was Friday morning and the guy must of been having a bad day. After asking the lady a few questions, he came out cursing at me from his back office and kicked me out of his store for no reason and was basically challenging me to a fight. I did call him an idiot as I walked out but did not want to lower myself to his level. He stepped out from the store after me and yelled out that if I was a real man to come back after 5pm to see him. (Clean version) I had been there before without any issues. If you go, hope you dont bump into the same idiot I bumped in to. It doesnt take me till after 5pm for me to know if im a man or not lol, but I definetly know I don’t have time for these childish games nor their consequences anymore. Im thankful I didnt walk in to this store in my early 20s

Chris was an awesome SOS for me last week when I locked myself out of my office. He was there to my rescue in less than 10 minutes and took literally 1 minute to unlock my door. Mad skills!!! Thank you again Lazimi :)

Lazimi showed up on time and was able to repair an intricate reversed Baldwin door locking unit. Their fee was less than quoted. I have used Lazimi for several years even
to pick a combination safe after my mother’s death.

It seems Lazimi has been bought out by a new owner. The new owner is an older gentlemen and I was pleased with his service. He was very kind and straight-​forward, explained to me how our door-​lock worked and how if it was to be replaced, he was wasn’t sure if they even made those 70’s styled locks anymore.
He also lubricated our door-​lock for free which helped it run a little more smoothly. Overall the new owner is a lot less rude than the previous owner.

I called this locksmith company for my parents home prior to checking the reviews. My dad is the nicest, sweetest guy and still asked me to write a review and make sure others arent fooled by this company. If you need a locksmith in rpv area, do not call them
