Aviation Lock Key & Safe Service

Not too long after I moved into my Condo, I discovered the previous owner installed a heavy duty security lock on my closet door.
It was a Saturday, and I had friends on the way for a party, I was fresh out of the shower and unable to get to any of my clothes.
They came out, drilled out the lock, all in plenty of time before my guests started arriving.
I will only call them for my locksmith needs.

Steve at Redmond Aviation Lock & Key serviced both of my rental properties and re-​keyed 20 locks. There was one lock that didn’t work and Steve immediately remediated the problem. Redmond Aviation Lock & Key has been around longer than the 16 years I lived in this neighborhood. Every time I’ve gone into the store they have provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend this family run business.

Redmond’s Lock & Key’s Steve was outstanding for us today. He repaired my expensive latch set with urgency, service, skill and all for an incredibly fair price. I highly recommend this company for lock repair needs.

Good place but they are not open ²⁴⁄₇ like the ad days. There is an emergency ²⁴⁄₇ service if you call (same line) but that is misleading. This location is closed on sat and sunday

Great service from a reputable company. I unfortunately used another company when I first moved here that charged a LOT and then did not complete the job, but this company charged a reasonable fee and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. I would highly recommend them. They also often have coupons in the mail, for $ 10 off and a free key; sadly, I forgot to use them. but wanted to make sure you knew about them.

I called here when my son locked one of the bedroom doors by accident, because this is a new house we just moved into, I had no idea how these locks work.
David walked me thru on how to unlock it without coming out and charge me $ 85 (it was after hours, otherwise it’s $ 75 during business hours). It took a simple 2 minute call for him to listen to my situation, asked me to text him a picture of the lock, and the second call took 1 minute for him to explain to me how to unlock it.
I then did it in 3 tries (would have taken me much less time if the lock hasn’t been «played with» so much).
The moral of the story is, he totally could have charged me $ 85 for a 3-​minute job. Instead, he chose to help out someone he doesn’t even know. I told him that we need more people like you in this world; and for this, he gets 5 stars.

I was given verbal assurance that if follow up lock services were needed, then they would be done free of the travel charge by the technician, however when I spoke on the phone to Don to request follow up services, Don flat out refused to honor the prior commitment, infact, he was rude, unprofessional, raised his voice and me and was extremely arrogant. He said, «I’m the owner and I do what ever I want. I don’t work for free, and Yes I do have anger issues.» He also clearly does not care about customer satisfaction or diplomacy.

I can not say enough awesome things about everyone here! Great help and always know they work will be the same!

I’ve used Aviation Lock Key & Safe Service since 1986. I’ve only had to call them a handful of times to change my locks or install a new one. But it says a lot that they are still in business.
Each time I’ve used their services, they’ve been courteous, punctual and very helpful, and they did a good job. I’ve had them make keys for me and they always work.
I just called today to get advice about buying a new front door lock. It was clear I probably wasn’t going to need their services, I just needed their advice.
Don was great. He took the time to answer all my questions. He listened and didn’t try to cut the call short just because I wasn’t asking for a service call.
I highly recommend Aviation Lock Key & Safe Service. They’re good people.

The people that work here are real cool however, don’t take your Lexus Keys here. Granted they did give me a warning, they did stated the cut «may or may not» work. Well, it didn’t work and that was $ 30.00 up in the air plus the cost of the blank key .
I think this shop should just pass on the expensive car key cutting if they can’t do them. That or refund your money. I bought the blank online so it was not like they were out for the blank key.
Go to Old Town lock and key, they know how to do it there.

If you would like prompt, friendly, and exceptional service, I definitely recommend Aviation Lock. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable in the work that they do. I was shocked to find out so much about all the different types of locks and keys that they are able to fix, install, and uninstall. You guys are great! Thanks for the great service! :) I’ll be sure to keep you guys on speed dial in case I lock myself out. Heh.

They are right down the street from me, but for some reason I thought I would save money and get keys made at Home Depot a few years ago. I had about 5 keys made at Home Depot and 2 of them didnt work. I had these guys make me the same keys and I havent gone back to Home Depot since.
They only charge a few more cents than HD, but WELL WORTH IT for the quality! Havent had any home calls for service, but everytime I go in they are very friendly.

I’ve been using there services for the past 16 years — at least once or twice a year to have keys copied! Great service, always friendly and fast service — prices are very reasonable! Good job you guys! Thank You!

Steve rekeyed the front door locks at two houses for us. He arrived on time — the appointment was set for 9:00 — 9:30 and he came at 9:10! Maybe I’m cynical from furniture deliveries (oh yeah. here’s a four hour window. oops, just kidding, we need to reschedule. here’s another six hour window. plz rearrange your life for a dining table) but the promptness was amazing.
As well as being super nice, Steve rekeyed the locks and made me a bunch of keys really fast — probably took ten minutes at each house.
Rekeying the locks was about $ 20 more expensive than I thought it would be. $ 98 as opposed to the $ 75 I was quoted over the phone the first time I called. I should have reconfirmed the price when I finally called back to set up an appointment.
