Anza Del Amo Florist

A week or so ago my boyfriend surprised me with a bouquet of roses! The roses were huge, had a beautiful vibrant red color, and smelled amazing! So today (lucky me) he stopped by the florist again and bought me a huge bouquet of all kinds of flowers — I could smell them the minute I walked in! I would recommend this florist to anyone — the best is that they also have one hour delivery for your last minute orders.

This guy pissed me off so bad.
So I work a 9 – 6 like a regular person and he tells me he closes at 5 I sort of give up but then he tells me he will come back at 6, as long as I call him back sometime 5 – 5:30, if not he would just leave the flowers to the place next door.
I call at 5:25 and he picks up the phone but he says «sorry I left, can’t help you».
I was thinking, why can’t you be a man and do what you said you would.
Then he makes excuses like I’ve been working since 7am. Well ok but thats your job!

Seriously, this is as bad as the time I made my first comment on youtube for Rebecca Black’s «Friday»

I love this flower shop — great customer service! The flowers are always fresh and the arrangements are beautiful. The owner, Nick carries only the finest quality Ecuadorian roses — far more impressive than the ones you buy at the supermarket!

I’ve been using Del Amo Florist for about 20 years now. I used to live about two miles away so I would go in and pick up or order an arrangement. In the dozens of times that I’ve ordered flowers for both pick-​up and delivery, things couldn’t have been handled in a more professional or efficient manner.
We have since moved out of state but my wife travels back to the South Bay area from time to time. If she stays for four or five days, I’ll call up Nick and have him make an arrangement and deliver them to my wife’s hotel. I did this again this past Monday (7÷22÷13) and, once again, the arrangement was perfectly beautiful and the delivery on-​time. Of course, my wife loved finding them in her room when she checked in.
I know people can have problems from time to time, even if doing repeat business with a company that has not faltered in the past, but I have NEVER had a problem with any flower arrangement that I’ve ordered through Del Amo Florist.
As Peter S. mentioned, I tried an online delivery service the first time I ordered flowers from out of state. That experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth which is when I decided to try Del Amo florist the next time. I’ve now been ordering from out of state for seven years with Del Amo Florist and have yet to have a problem in any regard.
Just make sure you know what you want when you order. When I was ordering corsages for my prom dates back in the day, they all were pin-​on as the wrist corsages weren’t at all popular or even that well known. Just sayin’.

NOT A HAPPY BRIDE!
We ordered «corsages» for the mothers/​grandmothers in our wedding, typically for women they’re wrist corsages. Well because not knowing they offer different styles because they did not ask us! All of the corsages our mothers and grandmothers had to pin them to their dresses. Then to top it off the pins that keep the bouquets in place were not fully pushed in and it cut open my thumb as I was walking down the aisle!
Today it has been 1 week and 2 days since our wedding I called today because we were on our honeymoon to speak to the owner Nick and as I spoke to him he got super defensive and blamed everything on me! Saturday the day of the wedding they closed at 12:00PM and he asked why I didn’t call. Well i’m sorry if my father picked up the flowers brought them home and I knew they were WRONG how was I supposed to call them when they’re closed?
After speaking with him today he got a horrible attitude and hung up on me, i’m sorry but that is NOT professional.
All I have to say is i’m glad we did the bare minimum of flowers at our wedding. I will NOT use them again.

Bad service with this florist!
Unilocal had a special with this florist for $ 20 for $ 40 so I decided to scoop up on that offer. I get to the place to order flowers and I show the older gentleman Nick the offer I purchased on Unilocal and he went crazy telling his staff how these offers are not gonna help him make a living and he told one of his employees to immediately get on the phone to take down the offer. With that aside, when he rang me up I was suppose to get $ 40 off since I had purchased the $ 20 offer on Unilocal,but he only took off $ 20. He told me that the offer was purchase $ 40 and get $ 20 off, I argued with him for a bit, but he was very insistent that it was not how the offer worked when clearly it was. Since I already purchased $ 20 I wasn’t losing out on anything, but it was a shame that they did not honor the offer and the service from him was very poor. The younger gentleman who helped me set up delivery was very kind though. Listen to the other Unilocalers for this florist and stay away!

I would not use this place! The guy at the cashier register was yelling at one of the florist. The guy at the register ran one customers out. I just wanted to pick up a balloon for Valentines day — JUST a balloon, nothing else and it was $ 9.99 — WTF!
on yeah — when i was waiting for my turn — he was like «what, what can I help you with»
WTF — bad customer service, prices are unreasonable and value of the arrangements are lower than average.
I do not recommend this place at all!

Well, I can only speak from my experience, but I was extremely satisfied with my experience with Del Amo. I had talked to someone named «Nick» and I was sending some flowers to Harbor UCLA medical center to thank a girl for an awesome date. I asked for an arrangement with stargazer lilies in the $ 80 range, and what he delivered (under an hour) was spectacular. She sent a picture of them to me and I was very pleased by the arrangement.
Because of previous bad experiences ordering flowers online (not from Del Amo), I wanted to baby this order through, but there was no need. This was about three months ago and I was thinking about what to do for this girl for Valentines day since we are now together and in the process of ordering from Dal Amo, I decided to share my experience here. Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone gets the same experience with them that I did.

I am so sad and disappointed. I ordered flowers for my sister to cheer her up after surgery and although the owner was so nice and said he would create something beautiful and custom (because I liked arrangements from two different items numbers) and even said he would cut me a deal.
I got an email from her this morning and it said that the rose petals in the arrangement were already falling away, and carnations were yellowing, although the others were okay. I paid nearly 100.00 (where’s the «deal?») for flowers that can’t even stand 24 hours? WTH? Never again! Do not order flowers from here!
He made such a big deal that he get fresh flowers every day and he would make something beautiful for her! I’m so upset!

I agree with the other review on this place. I called the owner (can’t remember his name) and discussed my Mom’s funeral flowers. He asked me for my approximate budget and said he likes to build his own arrangements since he has «been doing this 40 years». I agreed because he seemed genuine. I paid $ 396 for 3 arrangements. The first two were suppossed to be 3 ft sprays on easels. The 3^rd was a «basket» arrangement. While the flowers looked nice, there were not many and they were not delivered with stands. We made it work but I was very dissapointed. When I called him to discuss he said «how do you think I make money, you knew what you were getting». As a matter of fact I did not… I trusted him to use his «expertise» to make something great.

I wouldn’t use this place again. The first thing the guy asked me was my CC info and he has no taste. My arrangement that was sent to my friend was so tacky… it was for a friend who just had a baby boy and he sent her the flowers in a red vase with a white ribbon. And he didn’t follow any of my directions and did whatever he wanted. and overpriced in my opinion. Also charged like 12 dollars for delivery.
