Boiling Cajun

Wow, just horrible. I eat out 4 times per week allover Texas and this is hands down one of the worst tasting food joints I have ever had. I should have known better since there were 2 people in there at 12:00 noon.
Avoid at all costs

My husband & I were craving seafood, so we figured we would give this place a try. Worst decision ever! The place was dead, the food was way way way over priced for the quality. The manager was very unprofessional. We overheard her cussing every 2 seconds when she was talking to other staff. Our waitress was a young girl, very nice, but you could tell she wasn’t trained well or she was brand new. We got our bill & we were blown away. Our bill was ridiculous for what we had. The seafood was terrible, plus my coke was flat. We’ll never go back & now we know why this place is always empty…

I should have read these reviews before stepping foot inside. Anyway, walked in the door and was greeted by a half asleep young man in a white Fruit of the Loom.
The entry mat was filthy too. Again, I should have turned around.
One couple eating at 12:00pm, not looking good.
I sat at the bar, pretty nice. Lots of TVS, pretty good beer selection. Needs a deep clean.
I decided to try the wings. Darn, I think I ordered the wrong thing. Small like BW3’S but overcooked and under sauced and overpriced.
Good cold beer though.
Such a waste of $ 21. Lunch for 1

Forget the bad reviews, we just had a great dinner for a reasonable price. Food came out quick and hot, even the fries were crispy! Shrimp basket has great sized shrimp.big. Grilled shrimp were a good size and tasted great. If you like loaded sugar sweet tea this is the place to get a big glass of it, you won’t be disappointed. Cocktail sauce has a secret ingredient we couldn’t figure out… its good!!!

I REALLY wanted to like this place, but after going to Boiling Crab in Vegas for so long, so many times, it just doesn’t even compare. The shrimp was fresh I’ll give them that, and they were actually pretty big in size; nice and plump. They were just lacking in so much flavor, the seasoning was bland. I enjoyed the service though, our waitress was very good, she made sure our drinks were never empty and that we had everything we needed. I’d like to try them again only because they’re so close, but they really need improvement on their flavors.

I went to this establishment with a friend and my child. The waitress was very hospitable and patient with us.
The service, I think, was really good. Drinks were refilled quickly, supplies were provided quickly.
But the menu doesn’t allow for many substitutes, the plates are pricey, and basically everything you think would come with a plate is extra. No sides besides sauces for your Cajun food (tartar, cocktail sauce, ketchup).
The seafood gumbo smelled of old beans and the soup was watery. The shrimp were a very good size but I wish the flavor was better; seasonings need adjustments.
We also got salads that came in bowls that were way too small.
The shrimp cocktail was delicious but for the number of shrimp given they should use a smaller glass for the cocktail sauce, and have a tighter presentation of the food.

Pretty good food. Great atmosphere nice restaurant. I ordered the combination boiled shrimp crawfish bucket and was excellent! I chose a touch of spice and was Just enough spice The boudin balls were good, not the best but good. My son had the chicken tenders and they were surprisingly good. Made from scratch.
I like the giant TV and also multiple tvs I like the option to order by the pound.

I ate here tonight — and was pleasantly surprised! The food was very good for the price — and the service was very friendly. The resturaunt was fairly empty — but I am guessing it is only because of the location. I’d definately come back to this place. I had a small steak and grilled shrimp. The ranch dressing on my salad was made fresh — and the beer was very inexpensive. I hope this place does well — as I’ll come back the next time I’m in town.

Ok so this place looks really promising walking in. I’ve lived in Houston for four months, and I usually have great crawfish experienced here. The place looks clean and fun. Waitress was friendly. There was a new waiter who was really awkward and checked on us every five minutes.
So I ordered 3 lbs of crawfish and 2 lbs of snow crabs. They brought us one pound of crab, and when I told them two clusters of crab is not one pound, they tried to tell me I was wrong and that they already weighed it. But they went to the back and came back with another two clusters of crab. Come on!!! $ 15 a pound and you want to rip me off for another pound ???
For the crawfish, you could clearly taste that they were pre cooked and when I ordered, they just reboiled it. It either already boiled earlier that day or warmed up from frozen. Shame shame $ 8 a lb for crawfish. What a waste of time and money. You get no love, boiling Cajun!

Decided to try it out on a Saturday night. A bit concerned when we pulled up and the parking lot was kind of empty. But went for it anyway. It wasn’t busy and we were seated right away.
Prices were a bit high for my liking, crawfish was 7.99 which for late in the season is probably reasonable. They list Dungeness crab at $ 23 per lb and minimum 2 lbs. Other seafood was $ 8 to $ 12 for typical items.
The menu offered a wide selection of choices from boiled to fried with a few atypical like fried rice as a side.
The food was good though but service left something to be desired.
They offer more specials on week days so maybe we will try one more time.

Went to this resturant on 6÷25÷2015 and had a terrible experience. First of all, the bartender was extremely rude to my wife and I. He tried to persuade us to not sit at the bar, which was kind of unusual. Especially since the bar was completely empty. Anyways, we ordered the two for $ 20
special and ordered the calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was extremely salty and tastes terrible. Will we were eating our appetizer the bartender never paid attention to us. Needless to say, we were so upset that we did not finish our food and decided to take the rest of the order to go.
I’ve been to the resturant a few times before and the service is usually decent. However, we will not be going back.

I got a craving for crawfish at 8pm and googled nearby places (I was at my boyfriend studio on mueschke rd) I found this one and it had good reviews.
I called and ordered 2 lbs of crawfish (1 lb spicy and 1lb mild) it was ready by the time I got there which was around 15 min.
The place was pretty empty, it was a Tuesday night, the girl who attended me was nice, not sure if you’re supposed to tip for take out but I did anyway :) my total came out a little under 18 bucks which kind of surprised me as I get a pound and a half from shamrocks pub in willowbrook for 4.99.
They only sell on weekends though :(
Again I came here because of where I was at the moment, I can’t see myself driving from willowbrook (where I live) to this spot but if I’m around I will come back here! The flavor was great! We were sweating from the spicy ones! i forget what I ordered bc I basically just said give me the spiciest and your most popular mild flavor. The mild one was almost a little too salty but it had a great butter flavor! It came with 1 potato and 1 corn each. Will be back again, awesome find!

Love the crawfish!!! Great flavor! I’ve already taken my friends on 2 separate occasions.

I had the snow crab, with 11 spice, sweating bullets… And it was f*cking delicious!!! Waitress was great as well! I have them 4 stars because the appetizers were just okay… Boudin Balls, Stuffed jalapeños, boneless wings… Just average. The saving grace was the Snow Crab!!! Really 10 star good! Very messy but worth it!!!

Friendly, cold drinks and excellent crawfish. Tv’s everywhere. We really enjoyed our experience.

My girlfriend and I had received a coupon in our Tomball news for $ 5 or $ 10 off of our total bill so we decided to go to Boiling Cajun to see what it was all about. We ordered an order of alligator bites, while most bites were good a lot of them were just alligator fat and that was not enjoyable. The crawfish was a little over priced at $ 8.99/lb, but we ended up getting the Crawfish & Shrimp for Two (Catch of the Day) it was $ 29 for 2 lbs of crawfish, 1 lb of shrimp and 1 lb of sausage, 2 corns and 2 potatoes. We hadn’t been told that we couldn’t use our coupon for that specific item on the menu. Which is fine it was delicious the waitress was amazing she let us taste the different spices so we could decided what we wanted. The manager was very rude when we asked if we could use our coupon said no and just walked away. I would not go back to this location.

Went here on Easter Sunday on a friend’s recommendation because we wanted crawfish and our usual place was closed.
We ordered 4 lbs and it comes in a big plastic bag with the seasoning of your choice dumped on and shaken around like shake & bake. The tails were over cooked and I did not like how the big clumps of seasoning just stuck to the crawfish. I ended up asking for a bowl of water to rinse the seasoning off in. The place smelled like stale smoke, something I can’t get used to after living in Florida where smoking inside has been banned.
We won’t be going back.

The hostess and servers were super nice. However, on my first visit here, I sat at the bar and left after 10 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement from the bartender who was standing 6 feet away from me on his phone. Today I gave the place a second chance. I was greeted promptly by the hostess and asked to sit at the bar. Again, the bartender was on his phone. 6 feet away from me, and after 4 minutes, had not even looked up at me. I asked to be seated in the dining room, and have been receiving great service so far. Good bartenders are out there looking for jobs (I am one), and this guy cares nothing about his job.
My food is terrible.:-(

Just tried this place for the first time and I can’t wait to go back! Several choices of flavors and heat levels to have your favorite shellfish boiled in. The calamari came with ranch dressing, which is just plain weird. The margarita I had was plenty strong and tasted great. Roomy interior, lots of TVs and friendly waitstaff. Again, I can’t wait to go back and try everything and every flavor and heat level combination. In fact… I may go right now.

For starters I love the Cajun and sushi combo! I’ve been once yesterday with my mom and loved it so much that I’m going again today with my boyfriend and his mom and sister to show them how great the crawfish is there! I’ve gotten crawfish at so many place and cook it at home because im so picky about it and I would like to say this surprised me so much! I’ve never had crawfish this good outside of my home. I have no clue what these bad reviews are for but I enjoyed my time and can’t wait to go again tonight! I might become a regular!
And the thing I liked the MOST was it’s not all one heat, you can get 4 different levels of heat so it fits people who don’t like it hot and people who like it flaming all at one party!
I do extend on trying the sushi… one day… Lol but idk because everytime I go in there I know I’m going to be wanting crawfish instantly!
