Dr. Thomas Azman, a graduate of the University of Maryland, received his doctorate from the University of Alabama Medical Center School of Optometry. In private practice since 1975, he specializes in the care of the contact lens, dry eye and low vision.Dr. Azman is a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland, Department of Ophthalmology.Dr. Azman is the Co-​Director of Contact Lens Specialty Services, Dry Eye Treatment & Mang. Services, and director of Low Vision Services of Maryland. He is a member of the Maryland and American Optometric Associations, and the American Optometric Society.Dr. Azman was appointed by the governor of Maryland in 2004 to be a board member of the Maryland Board of Examiners in Optometry, and was a past President of the Maryland Board of Examiners in Optometry. As a research consultant for many contact lens manufacturers, Dr. Azman is considered both an authority and an innovator in the area of contact lenses.
