Doctors Express Timonium opened its doors across from the Maryland State Fairgrounds on York Road in 2011. Our Timonium center is part of AFC/​Doctors Express, the second largest privately owned urgent care operator in the country.

I was hurt at work and was turned away from another clinic due to the paperwork. I came here and they took me in really quickly. All of the staff I dealt with (front desk, dr, etc) was extremely helpful and polite. Someone also called a couple days later to see how I was doing. Way above what I would expect from an urgent care clinic.

I went here because I wasn’t able to get an appointment with my PCP. I normally shy away from urgent care centers because the experience is anything but urgent and the people are generally rude. I was pleasantly surprised. The check-​in process was quick and painless. I was called back within 5 minutes of finishing the registration. The medical assistant who triaged me was great! Very friendly, very upbeat and funny! That process was also speedy and I was in an exam room in no time. The PA who saw me was very knowledgable and took the time to explain everything — illness, medications, etc. I spent maybe 45 minutes there — total. That’s unusual for urgent care! The next time I’m sick and can’t get an appointment with my doctor, I’m going there!

After aggravating a muscle injury at my office, I stopped by this office for an X-​ray to make sure nothing was broken/​cracked.
I was met by extremely professional, kind and conversational staff. More importantly, they were NON-​JUDGMENTAL.
I have tattoos down both arms. I also happen to be a nurse. I know how judgmental medical offices can be. The profile of «Seekers» typically includes someone who looks like me: young, male, tattoos, muscle pain. (Sad isn’t it?)
This was not an issue at this office. I was seen almost immediately and everyone from front desk to the practicioner who assessed me were extremely courteous and displayed genuine concern.
While I obviously hope I never have to go back, I would advise anyone in the area who needs non-​emergency care to seek out this office. If you encounter the staff I encountered, I believe you’ll have a great experience. Aside from the fact that you’ll likely be sick or injured.

We were traveling from Atlanta and my son developed an ear infection. This place was extremely efficient. We were seen immediately and the entire staff was pleasant and capable. In and out, prescription in hand in under 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

Excellent, prompt service! Everyone was friendly, patient, and helpful. I arrived when they opened around 8am and was out of there with prescriptions in hand by 8:30am. Their facility is very clean, too.

They called to make sure eveything was cool a few days later. Great service. Recommend getting there early as you never know how the wait is going to be. Typically it is not bad. A little pricier than going to my regular doctor copay wise, but at least you don’t have to wait for an appointment if you are really sick. That is the worst.

I love this place. Multiple visits. The staff is always professional, caring, and understanding. Customer service is A+. This is my go to for minor problems. Instead of waiting for appointments, sitting for long periods at the doctor’s office and having a doctor or NP/​PA take a real interest in your problem. They spend quality with you. Compare this alternative to your PCP.

If you only knew what I’ve gone through the past couple of weeks… this place was heaven!
So I broke my toe a couple of weeks ago, decided to be my own doctor (which I don’t recommend!) and not get it checked out until it was still hurting 3 weeks later. Walked in signed a few papers, they were super nice, the place is very clean so that made me feel good right away. They took me back did an x-​ray and had a radiologist right there to look at it and she was probably the nicest doctor I’ve ever met. Told me I needed to see a foot doctor and I’d probably need surgery gave me a copy of the x-​rays and sent me along my merry way. I was in an out in under and hour, it was amazing!
I wish this was my primary doctor because they were seriously the best! The doctor even personally called me a few days after to check and see if I had gone to the foot doctor. You can really tell this place cares about the people and not just making money. If going to the doctors was that easy I would’ve gone to get my broken toe checked out earlier!

Excellent service. I was so relieved to find a place to get treated that wasn’t Patient First. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It took me longer to drive to (from the city) than the entire visit took. They even had my medication on hand. I highly recommend– you won’t regret it!

I took my daughter to be checked for strep throat and every staff member was more than kind and professional. Place was clean and all new. A very good experience. I would highly recommend.
