I live right around the corner from this store and have tried to like it so many times. I bought the Groupon hoping that the CSA box would be better then what they were selling in their store. I was so wrong. It was the worst box I have every purchased. I understand that they were selling these at a discounted rate but aren’t you supposed to bring in business with Groupon? It was the saddest CSA I have ever seen. What the heck am I supposed to do with two heads of celery and cabbage? The four potatoes were both rotten on the inside and the parsley was wilted. I wouldn’t pay five dollars for that yet I paid $ 15. The box had no color and no fruit which was the selling point of the owner when I visited. So frustrating!!!

I picked up several peaches at their stand at St. Johns Farmer’s Market. The gentleman who manned the stand was knowledgeable about his produce and had a great discussion with me about how tricky it can be sometimes picking peaches at the right time to bring to market and then ripen without them getting mushy. I felt the price at $ 4.00 a pound was very reasonable and have been enjoying eating them with real pleasure since Sunday — the perfect mid-August snack. All the fruits and vegetables were arranged attractively and looked fresh off the vine and ready to make anybody happy. They’re definitely making me happy!

Wow~ I’ve never dropped something from 5 stars to 2, but I had to. Though the folks there are nice, as I drove by their store today, I felt ashamed that my great review might be luring people in who later went WTF, Gina A. what the hell is wrong with you? Last year I could understand that they were new and as such didn’t have tons of produce on hand. This year is a different story — every single time I’ve come in(which is 4 at least) they have had less produce than a VERY small roadside stand — like BARE shelves! Their lack of produce on hand isn’t inspring confidence. Case in point, I drove all the way out to a place 6 – 7 miles from home today so that I could be assured of getting something worth bringing home. Sorry, I tried to hold off as long as I could before changing my mind, but it is what it is. I won’t be back anytime soon.

I’m with Rori C. I purchased the groupon and just picked up my first box last week. It consisted of two wilted bunches of parsley, kale, 4 potatoes, an onion, two bunches of celery, the most pathetically tiny asparagus ive ever seen, a crown of broccoli, and two very small heads of cabbage. THATSIT. Zero fruit. 2nd week I did get a pint of cherries, 6 non-ripe nectarines, 4 ears of corn, an onion, beets, baby carrots, rhubarb and kale. $ 30 for this was not bad(even if the 1st box wasn’t great).

THATSIT. Zero fruit. I would’ve gotten a better deal buying all organic at whole foods. $ 30 for two boxes of this, and the regular price would be $ 60?!? That’s insane. Seems they’re just using groupon to trick people into buying it, no one in their right mind would pay $ 30 for a box this size. We all like buying local — but none of us like getting ripped off. I will update with next weeks items, hopefully this experience will be compensated for by the next box.

I fell in love with Profarm after purchasing several Groupons and had the best customer service experience and received high quality organic produce!!! First of all, I do have to tell you that I procrastinated on getting to their stand at the Beaverton Farmers market before the Groupon expired. However, after emailing the owner Shane he was still willing to honor the voucher! Not only that, he responded to my emails the same day! Yes, I say emails b/c I purchased 4 over the past 2 years and I let every single one expire. :( When I arrived at their store in Tigard(conveniently located) the guys were super friendly & very helpful! They packed up the box of produce for me and then carried it out to my car! I don’t get that level of service at any grocery store. Love that I’m buying local! Love that I’m supporting a hardworking business in Oregon! Love that I’m not giving my money to a LARGE grocery store with chains EVERYWHERE! Keep these guys in business and buy local my fellow Oregonians!!! We have the best food in the planet grown right here in our backyard. :)

Profarm Produce Store is amazing! I had the CSA Subscription for awhile and the entire staff were friendly, and the weekly shares more than paid for itself off quickly. Shane, one of the owners was generous and responsive when I asked questions whether via email or phone, before subscribing and during the subscription period. Great company!

I first heard about Profarm Produce through a Groupon and thought I’d try them out. The CSA boxes were great, and loved getting fresh nearly organic produce every week. They are flexible and work with you and love the brothers who run this business. They work hard. They have their store in Tigard, but also operate through several farmer’s markets including the Milwaukie one. Love it!
