Having worked at Artistic Auto Body for a month and a half, the people hear are are wonderful and really do go above and beyond to make your experience great after the stress of an accident. I arrived here in Portland from the east coast just in time for the regular winter snow/​ice storm. Immediately slid into one of my carport poles. I’m used to lots of snowplowing and salt on the ground after a storm! This was an ice slick. Anyway, I immediately got on Unilocal and found Artistic in Tigard so off I went. Every single compliment on here is true! Since I wasn’t going through insurance, they did a neat little money saving trick for me with a lot of serious glue (still needed a new bumper… this was on the inside) and the end product looks fantastic. Not only that, but my car, which had been transported cross-​country on an open carrier, looks as though it has been detailed. The people there are not only very nice, they all have great senses of humor and I was thoroughly entertained during the time I spent. I cannot imagine going anywhere else.

I was unfortunately rear ended on my way to work a few weeks ago. My pristine Honda ended up with bumper damage and a bent rear driver’s side quarter panel. I didn’t want to bring my car into any old shop and spent quite some time reading reviews online. I finally chose Artistic Auto Body and was not disappointed!
I was scheduled quickly and brought my car in for an estimate on a Thursday. I was afraid that it would be weeks before getting my car back because of how many were already at the shop (I’m sure most were from the snow storm that previous Sunday). Gary and Laura took a look at my car and set me up in a rental on the spot. I was in and out within 45 minutes. They both were very friendly and informative. The next day I received an email update from Laura that included an itemized estimate and note saying that parts were put on order for my car.
Fast forward to Tuesday morning. I received an email from Laura saying my Honda was ready for pick up! I was shocked. An estimate, ordering parts, installation, and paint all done in 4 days? I first thought that there had been a mix up but it was true. I went in and inspected the car carefully. It looked great! Paint matched, panels lined up, everything was back in order just like it had been before the accident.
I’m extremely pleased with how everything turned out! Bring your vehicle here if you want high quality work done by friendly people. Great customer service from everyone there!

After a recent fender bender accident, my car was towed to Artistic for repairs, and I have nothing but fantastic things to write — every single person I dealt with was friendly, reassuring, informative, and professional. Stacy H and John S were especially great at presenting options and making suggestions without pressuring me into a course of action that wasn’t in my best interest, which I greatly appreciated because I haven’t owned a car in some years and felt a bit at the mercy of the situation. As an unexpected bonus, my car was washed and vacuumed before being returned to me and, quite honestly, looked better on its way out than when it arrived. While I hope not to need their services again for some time, I would not hesitate to give Artistic my business in the future and will heartily recommend them to anyone in need of auto services!

If I could give Artistic Auto Body more than five stars, I would. Simply, they’re ethical, friendly, they go over and above expectations (they rubbed out several paint stains on my car from other vehicles, at no request from me, while cleaning my car) and complete their work in a timely and reliable manner. They are the only auto body repair shop my mechanic recommends and now I know why.

Took in my wife’s BMW after she had badly dented in the bottom part of the front bumper. They provided me with two estimates, the first included a new bumper and the second, because of my request, was to just try to repair as best they could without replacing the bumper. I understand that they want to do the best possible job and that would include replacing the bumper, but I felt with their expertise that a simple repair might be acceptable. The service and repair far exceeded our expectations. The cost was a tenth of a new bumper, the repair was down low and barely noticeable, the car was returned cleaner both inside and out that I can ever remember and we received the car back earlier than promised. Very professional, honest and sincere. I highly recommend.

Impeccable service, pleasant attitude from all staff, excellent body work in an atmosphere of cooperation all combined to make this repair easy and worry free. I recommend th this company to everyone whose car needs bodywork!

We just had an amazing experience with Artistic Auto Body, they are fast, efficient, courteous, and very friendly.

Artistic repaired my VW GTI to like new condition, once after a fairly major crash, the second was a broken back door that needed to be replaced. Both repairs are of top quality as I am writing this review several years after the fact, and have had no negative consequences. Furthermore, when the finances were looking tight on my second repair, they helped me work out a ridiculously good deal that was good both for my wallet and my car. I highly recommend this business!

In the 5 years I have owned my 2007 350Z (Redline color, the cutest Z in town) I have had the misfortune of body damage 4 times, none serious but all heartbreaking. Each time I chose to take my Z to Artistic Auto Body and each time they went above and beyond what I expected or imagined.
Most recently I was hit on the front driver’s side of the car requiring replacement of the front quarter panel and repair to the bumper. Since these repairs were being done I went ahead and had the hood repainted as well to get rid of a few rock chips. Well, I just got the car back a few days ago and she looks brand new again! Seriously, the car is show room perfect!
I agree with the other comments regarding the friendly staff and all around great service, too.
There’s a reason I’ve returned to Artistic Auto Body so many times (besides my bad luck). When you pass me on the road (you’ll recognize me, as I said, I drive the cutest redline Z around), you’ll agree: Artistic Auto Body rocks!

We just had our car repaired by Artistic for the first time. We were hit on a road trip but Artistic worked with us to schedule repairs when it was convenient for us. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rental car was ready and waiting at the shop when promised. Overall the car looks great. We have no complaints and will use them again in the future should we need them. And the work is guaranteed for as long as we own the car!

Excellent quality prep and paint job, strong customer service. The rear left quarter panel and back door next to it needed cosmetic repair and they did a great job. No bumps or swirls in the paint, looks like new.
My wait time at Artistic Auto Body for Enterprise Rent-​a-​Car to pick me up from Artistic Auto Body was excessive. I suggest baking in an hour of waiting for them into your schedule just in case the nearby Enterprise location is busy. Afterwards I was able to drop the rental car off at Artistic Auto Body when I came to pick up my car.

Terry and the team at Artistic have been there for me for many years. Even when I didn’t live near his shop, it was worth the drive to get the ‘Artistic’ touch. I was especially thrilled when I picked up my car and found it SPOTLESS — looking better than the day I bought it!
I hope I don’t have a car accident again soon, but if I do, I know where to take my car for the best service in town. Highly recommended!

All I can say is wow, I was just blown away by amazing friendliness and customer service, and on top of that got my car fixed within an hour of calling for an appointment!
These people genuinely care about their clients doing a great job, and don’t over charge. And the waiting room is nice too thanks John and everyone else who helped me today! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else now.

Where do I begin…
I was rear ended in my 1996 Eagle Talon (Mitsubishi Eclipse), being a car kinda girl, I am VERY skeptical and skiddish when it comes to any auto shops. but since they have such a good reputation and reviews, I took her into artistic for an estimate. I want only the best for my baby.
First encounter — impressive. The font desk staff was very welcoming, professional, efficient and knowledgable; even though they didn’t know what a Talon was. Anyways, I met with John on that cold raining day and we went out to look at my car. He seemed surprised to see my car, but I get that a lot. 1) Its on the more rare side 2) a girl is driving it. He took some pictures, made an appointment to get her fixed (a month out), handed me some papers and I was on my merry way.
Second encounter — drop off day. They arranged for my rental car and everything went smoothly. They were very busy but still, I had good faith in these guys handling my car.
Three days in — I get an email. They’ve taken my bumper off and I received a second estimate that noted the underlying damage and that the bumper skin needed to be replaced and painted.
Two days later — another email. They can’t find a replacement bumper skin. They could not source one from any used parts place and they do not make the bumper skin anymore (well I coulda told ya that. It was a two year body style and Chrysler-​Eagle is no longer around). Grrrr. I’m starting to get scared and frustrated. They went ahead and did the best they could to try and get her back to pre loss condition (like new). They would not paint my bumper skin due to stress cracks, they would not be able to guarantee not warranty the paint job.
That day (or the day after) my second email from John, my boyfriend and I decided to drop in to get a clearer understanding and explanation of the situation at hand. It was a Friday, and I do understand how hectic the office can be at the end of the day. I was very appreciative of him meeting with us and explaining how rare of a situation this is for them. He seemed very agitated irritated and annoyed that I would even inquire about what was going on.
Pick up day — I return my rental keys to the front desk (the front office staff was amazing, don’t get me wrong. They were very kind, formal and helpful.) they took care of all my traumatic rental car experience.
Yes! After a week (originally was quoted a few days) I get her back! Few problems however.
They buffed the paint to the point it burned not only my bumper skin but also a tail light. Someone broke my tail light (silver flakes on the bottom and water condensation is now built up). They also replaced the center garnish with the spare I had in my trunk. I was planning to have that painted black but was told they could not since it was plastic. *insert long irritated stare here*. The cracked piece I originally had on my car was now thrown into my back seats. Along with everything else I had in the trunk! I pointed out that there was more damage done than when I had brought the car in, and John didn’t really acknowledge my concerns and went inside.
Bottom line: more damage was done to my car by the shop then getting hit. I left with burnt paint, a broken tail light and a lot of disappointment. John did not seem concerned about the issues at hand and just brushed them off. He said his goodbyes and went back inside.
And no. I did not get the interior detail that they say they include. My interior was a mess with my things thrown into the car, exterior ruined and my heart broken.
From working in advertising and public relations, I know that your best exposure comes from word of mouth. I know lots of people and will never refer them to artistic. It’s not only that they couldn’t fix my car, I’ll just have to do it myself, but the lack of respect was the biggest slap in the face. John had a sour attitude and attempted to screw me over with the insurance company. But that’s another story.

First rate experience at Artistic Autobody! I had a fender bender in a parking lot a few months ago and was devastated when my beautiful new Honda Accord now had a busted up bumper. I came across the good reviews for Artistic Autobody on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. They quickly got me a thorough estimate and dealt with the nasty insurance company so I didn’t have to! They helped me get a rental car for the four days that my car was being worked on and returned my car to me in better shape that I could have ever dreamed of. The car was fixed to perfection and the bumper looked flawless! They had also fully cleaned my car inside and out! The new car smell that I loved so much was actually back! Everyone that I worked with here was friendly, efficient and very professional! I gladly recommend Artistic Autobody to all my friends and family!

Fantastic in every way! From the first phone call, to the estimator, to the ongoing communication, to the front desk staff, and the final payment process… perfect. They had my car done in 2 days, well before they had initially estimated. Everyone was courteous, professional, personable. I can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend!

I recently moved into a complex with very tiny carports. Within a week I had scraped up the right front corner and left rear corner of my small SUV. I stopped by Artistic Auto Body in Tigard and was greeted by Tracy who was very friendly. She quickly took down my information and then their estimator Preston took a look at my car. He said that some of the «damage» might wipe off and proceeded to treat both affected areas with some sort of «magic sauce». In the end, there was only the tiniest scratch that could be fixed with some touch up paint. I pulled out of that parking lot so happy I could cry!
Excellent service all the way around! If I end up needing actual body work next time (and let’s be honest… there will likely be a next time) I will definitely head back to the team at Artistic.
