Thomas is the ultimate professional! I had a large remodel done on my 1905 historic home. I got 3 estimates from different electrical companies and I only wanted Thomas to do the work because I could tell that as the owner and master electrician he has the most knowledge. Also, when I interviewed him for the job he was the most enthusiastic about my home and the project. He helped me design the lighting styles and layout and I am very happy with how it all turned out. Thomas, the owner, was on the job every day — they didn’t just send out some guy to work on my house. He was always on time and on schedule. He continually asked about my needs and made sure they were being met. Another great thing is that he packed out his own garbage so I wasn’t left to deal with all of it. I would highly recommend Thomas at Classic Electric for any residential remodel project!

In a day and age when it’s difficult to get quality service, Thomas is as good as it gets. Not only is he prompt in putting an appointment on the calendar, his work is absolutely exceptional. He takes the time to listen to whatever issue needs to be addressed and explains what he’s doing step-​by-​step.
He’s our first and only phone call when we have an electrical problem.

Had a new electric vehicle charging station to install which needed a dedicated 240V line running through a panel with no open slots. While another place might have charged thousands to put in a sub-​panel, Thomas simply put in new breakers to re-​use an existing slot and performed the entire job in a couple of hours for a n excellent price. Thomas was responsive, helpful, and professional. The inspector only took a few seconds to check out Thomas’ work before approving it because according to the inspector, «Thomas’ customers love him and he does great work.» Yes he does.

I wish all contractors were like Thomas: Dependable, quick, friendly, and knowledgeable.
My partner and I hired him to install two outlets in each of our bathrooms, and he did an excellent job. He exceeded our expectations and we were very satisfied with his level of service.
During the initial consultation, he made suggestions that were sensitive to our needs and budget. We liked that he was punctual, very communicative throughout all stages of the project, and even went so far as to organize the electrical box so that all the wires were clean and safe. (He didn’t charge us for that extra hour, which was really nice of him.)

We had Classic Electric come out shortly after we moved in to our property summer of 2014. We finally got around to checking pricing against a couple other contractors and went with Thomas for our work. He came out in November, 2014.
Scope of work was to install a recessed outlet into an existing circuit for our wall mounted TV. Run coax cable for the TV so that we could add an antenna at some point and run an ethernet cable to our closet where we added another outlet for the internet router.
There are really no negatives with Classic Electric. Thomas is upfront and honest about what he does, his pricing, and shows a sense of integrity rarely seen with service providers these days. In other words, he tells you what he’s going to do and he does it. Having worked with contractors over the years in California and now in Oregon its very refreshing to find someone who is upfront, open, and honest about his business. Not to mention, he’s on-​time, neat, and professional. We have found our go to guy for all future electrical work.

We highly recommend Thomas and Classic Electric! We called him with a last-​minute request to put in under-​cabinet lighting (in an already under construction kitchen) and he made time to fit us into his busy schedule. He was extremely professional, timely and always seemed to have our best interests in mind. As part of the job, we discovered we were in need of some other electrical upgrades in our house and Thomas managed all of those seamlessly. He held true to every quote and made sure things were perfect, even if that meant coming back after hours. We will definitely be using Thomas for any and all future electric needs. Thank you!

While all of the above customers have Thomas Allen five stars, it is inconceivable how this person just left my home and did the direct opposite of all the above reviews! I saw him pull up to our house on time for our 8am appointment, waved at him, and then waited 10 minutes for him to come in. He did not, so I went back out in the rain and walked towards his truck (white ford with no company logo) and asked «are you Thomas?» He got out the truck and stood in the doorway and said, «yea I am,» «I was just calling some inspectors first, and I’ll be right there.» I stated that he could park on our property but he declined. I came inside, out of the rain, and waited 2 more minutes before he knocked on the door. I went to open it, we said hi, shook my hand, and then walked to the problem. It’s like a 1950’s Wadsworth electrical panel, that took Thomas all of 45 seconds to say, «I’ve seen about 3 or 4 of these in my 20yrs of experience and this is outside the scope on my abilities.» «I don’t even want to give you a bid for the job.» Speechless, I walk away and sat down. I ask him, «are you sure?» He looks at me with a frown, «yup!» Then he thanks me for the opportunity, shakes my hand again and walks out. This is incredible! What kind of professional with «20yrs of experience» walks in and out with only one solution I forgot to mention… Call another electrical company. This guy is a sham! In addition, he quoted me a price over the phone just days before he showed up. So what went wrong I wonder? Not to mention that he we recommended by Bob… You know the «Around the house with handyman Bob» radio talk show host (FM KXL101). Nevertheless, Thomas is Not the guy you wanna go with, especially if you’re African American! Which I am. I also served this country for 6yrs with an honorable discharge, hold a Biz degree, and 4 classes from a MA, and am self employed with consistent contracts to pay my bills including contractors working on our house. Thomas is overrated and we would NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY WITH THIS GUY.

Thomas is very timely and delivers as he promises! The work was excellent and I am very satisfied with the lighting that was installed in my house. Thank you so much! I will definitely use him again for any future electricity needs.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Thomas met with my wife and I over the weekend and gave us several estimates based on our priorities and what we could afford. The work he performed was top notch and done at a very reasonable price. I cannot say enough good things about this company and the outstanding service we received from Classic Electric. I’ve used many electrical contractors in my business, and I happened to stumble upon Classic Electric about 3 years ago. I was impressed by how quickly Thomas came out to the site and advised me on pricing and options. He has done work now for several of my clients and I had him out to my home a few weeks ago. He was fast, good, and tried to save me money by offering options and advice. HE is the best and I always call Classic first!

They came up with incredibly creative lighting solutions for dark spaces in my 70’s fixer. I would highly recommend them for any electrical project you may have. I had a light fixture go bad and I had Thomas come out and repair it himself. He did a great job, was prompt, personable and even helped educate me on doing some future repair myself. That was above and beyond excellent service! I highly recommend Thomas for electrical repair work!
