Super nice and friendly staff great location. It wasn’t terrible, but we won’t be back. Our food took a very long time, and my son’s ribs showed up to the table at least 15 minutes after the rest of ours. The waiter forgot our drinks even after several reminders. The food was a C. It wasn’t great and lacked flavor, I didn’t eat mine. I wish I could give it more stars, but it just wasn’t good. I’d say if you need something to eat in the area, it’s ok. Not having been here before, I’m not sure if there are better restaurants, or it’s the touristy standard here. The good news was my husband ordered the calamari, and they came back to the table after speaking with the kitchen and told him it wasn’t good. We were saved from a really bad night.

This place was ok… came here for dinner and sat in the back patio w/our pup. We weren’t that hungry so we just ordered several plates to share. They brought out warm bread and butter which is always a plus. We got a brussel sprout salad with bacon and feta or goat cheese? Didn’t like that salad. The brussel sprouts leaves were shredded instead of kept whole and there was a LOT of feta/goat cheese that was mixed in every ounce of the salad rather than sprinkled on top. made it too creamy and salty and not fresh. The calamari was good, but it was only half calamari… there were shrimps and cauliflower pieces in there. Not sure if they ran out of calamari of that’s just how they make it? A plus was they had both cocktail sauce and some sort of aioli dip for the calamari. The salmon and veggies and mashed potatoes was pretty standard as was the paella. It was a solid dinner, just nothing special about it. Service was great at the beginning but then they kind of forgot about us at the end.

Went for brunch today. Everything was very good. The service was first rate, and all the dishes were tasty and well prepared.

Very charming environment — sort of colonial feel. We came for breakfast. I had the ricotta pancakes which were amazing. My partner had the eggs Benedict which was amazing too. Our waitress was very friendly — it was a great experience!

I actually wanted to go to a restaurant across the street, but picked this one and I am so glad that I did. This place was amazing. The waitress was very helpful and patient with us, and she wasn’t overbearing at all. I had steak tacos and they were delicious! I thought it would be a small serving, but it definitely filled me up. The steak was tender and just great, and the vegetables were so fresh. The clam chowder was very good also. There is nothing bad I could say about this place. I don’t remember the last time I had such delicious food. I was very impressed.

Great service! Our waiter was efficient, engaging, and helpful without being overbearing — cheerful with my 11 and 13 year old sons. The food was tasty and moderate portion sizes(not huge!- like too many restaurants – ). Great atmosphere.

Nice little quant place near the pier. Somewhat small and can be loud but the food is really great. It looks like small portions but it actually does fill you up. I had the fish tacos and they were pretty amazing! Definitely would recommend this place especially with the aura of this place.

Great spot! Nice ambiance, great staff! We had the roasted garlic appetizer, which was fun and delicious! The burgers are phenomenal and a generous portion of scallops in the salad! We finished dinner with a well-done crème brûlée! Definitely suggest trying this great restaurant!

Nice seating out back. Pleasant place. Can’t recommend the grilled Garlic, it was good, but not great. Overall experience was average…

We were a party of 4 and each of us enjoyed our meals. We went at an off time, but enjoyed the restaurant thoroughly. There is no bay view, but it has a lovely view of the street side ambiance. The menu is varied and it is hard decide what to try because there are so many selections that look interesting. We had 2 appetisers(calimari and onion rings) both were delicious and had flavorful sauces. We all had different meals(baked eggs on spinach, sandwiches, and fish tacos. We loved the spot, raved about the food and service and would definitely recommend and return.

A wonderful lunch outside on the patio! A friend of mine who used to live in San Francisco came in for a visit from New York. We decided to meet in Tiburon and we had never been to this restaurant before. We were excited to try something new. Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. She knew we hadn’t seen each other in a while based on our conversation and she gave us time to think about what we wanted and to look at the menu and to talk all at the same time. I decided on the salmon burger and my friend had the crab melt. My gosh these meals were fantastic. My salmon burger had no filling at all. It was just salmon and spices with onion and peppers but not too much. I ordered it with a side salad and ginger dressing. The salmon burger came with wasabi which is my passion. My friend had the crab melt and she thought it was awesome. Since we were splurging we decided to get dessert. I got raspberry sorbet and she got the crème brûlée. Both were top notch. Forgot to mention that we also split a bottle of prosecco(sp?). All in all a fabulous lunch and I would definitely go back here for lunch or dinner. Great job everyone!

We ate here around 11 am on Sunday. The inside, which probably had 10 – 12 tables, had only one other table with diners. Service was friendly, but slow. We started with the clam chowder — a thinnish broth loaded with sliced potatoes, bacon, some clam pieces, and one clam in a shell. It could have been better with more clams and less bacon. On the whole, a good, but not great soup. We like thinnish clam chowder, but Sam’e Chowder House is better. The next dish was the crab cakes with mango salsa. The crab cakes had a crisp, not quite Panko crust. The cake was mostly crab, well seasoned, and not filler. The sauces accompanying the crab cakes, a Remoulade and a tartar sauce, were bland and forgettable. The next dish was fish tacos. As others have noted, the sea bass had serious taste and texture problems. The texture was slightly mushy. As for the taste, it was unclear whether it was farm raised and mushy, frozen, or simply turning rancid. This was not a good dish. The dish was not aided by the green salad, which was floating in way too much, bland dressing. The hot pastrami was not the same quality as when it was Rooney’s — the pastrami was fatty and a lesser grade than what was served before, and the cheese was not Gruyère but appeared to be stale, American Swiss. The cheese over the edge of the sandwich did not melt, and was like a solid sheet of rubber. Although claiming to have mustard, it was not there. Miller’s is vastly superior. On the whole, although the dishware and presentation were good, the food was not remotely worth the price. We will not be back.

Seriously?! Yummmmm… We were going to settle for a good deli but instead found this gem walking around Tiburon. It’s across the street from my BFF old wedding reception. But man… The calamari was so crisp n fresh. French fries(for the little one) was crispy. The crab melt was very good. Not the best but it was good. But the best dish… My seared scallop salad with corn, cherry tomatoes, lemony vinegarette over arugula… To die for! Definitely will come back if in the area… Plus kudos to the the staff for being so friendly =)

A beautiful weekend morning begs for brunch. And a beautiful morning brunch begs for a patio, a deck, or a terrace. True & true. So I thought that brunch on the patio at Salt & Pepper would take care of everything. Not so. The setting? It is charming. Inside & out. But I want good food, too. And our plates were mediocre at best. The dishes: Crab Benedict & The Breakfast Sandwich. The minuses? The hollandaise sauce was bitter. Too much lemon juice. Bitter is definitely not what I was after. Even worse, there were crab shells in the dish. I do appreciate fresh crab, but please leave out the shell fragments. The sandwich was just ok. All the traditional components. Solid, but nothing spectacular. Our waiter was personable & downright charming. The strongest points were definitely the ambience & the service. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. But, in a good restaurant, there is no wrong thing. We had no wait for a table outside, on a warm, sunny day. That’s unheard of in Tiburon. Huge plus. Solid 3 stars.

Very charming French type feel. Amazing strong flavorful coffee. I ordered the baked eggs. Let me tell you friends for as much as I done out this was one of the top 5 breakfasts I’ve ever experienced. So many amazing flavored in each bit and I savor ex each one. Omg I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time. The French toast was very good but not great as it was alite too sweet for me. But of coarse we ate it all. My wife had the prosciutto and egg dish that she googled up. As we spent the day in Tiburon we met many locals that eat there on a regular basis and love it also. So in closing if you are ever in Tiburon you have to stop by and try this amazing food. Four big thumbs up

Solid brunch spot that won’t have the absurd wait like the places across the street. The service is great and the food is on par. A group of us had assorted sandwiches, the Reuben, the chicken salad, the steak, and the crab melt. They were all good, nothing spectacular but just what you expect from a nice sit down restaurant. The side of fries was excellent, thin and not greasy, while the salad was well dressed and had a good mix that included arugula. Service really made this place stand out overall.

I have to say my mood was already really good because the weather was beautiful and sunny and it was a long weekend. We arrived in Tiburon from San Francisco on the ferry with a group of 11 of us. When we got to the restaurant, it was only a 30 minute wait with no reservations and the staff was very welcoming and considerate when seating us and service was great! I ordered a salmon plate, my friends and I ordered pitchers of mimosas and oh Lord, were they good! Definitely coming back next time the weather is nice!
