Absolutely a great place to stop by and soak!!! Nice water flow. Nice rocks to lie on and tan! Make sure you pay the $ 4 park fee. I see lots of family hanging out and picnicking on the rocks. Oh yeah, the water is warm and very clean and clear.

This place makes me want to visit my family in Porterville a lot more often!!! This is a little less than an hour away from P-Ville. We found it to kill time before heading to our campground and we wished we came here a lot sooner. Why-because this place is naturally stunning. Nestled between the mountains the river has numerous shallow pools and slides to slide down from into these pools. I’m wondering if that’s why it has the name Slide Rock. Although it was rather busy with families galore with the pets, coolers, lawn chairs, and sunbrellas, there’s plenty if river to go around. So pick a spot and enjoy the cool river flow especially on a very hot summer day. Be sure to pay for parking though as they were definitely out there eager and quick to hand out tickets for parking violators.
