Meet the Business Owner

Liliana R.

Business Owner

Liliana Rivalta was born in Colombia. She has worked in Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Switzerland, Italy and the United States.

Liliana speaks fluent Spanish, English, German, and Italian and has nearly 25 years of teaching experience including designing language programs for business executives.

Founder and CEO of SMI Spanish Multiple Intelligences, she provides Spanish languages instruction to local Middle schools, High schools, and Colleges.

Liliana worked as the Spanish teacher at JAC Academic and at Peace Montessori school at Oak Park. Her pedagogical approach is based on Harvard professor Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences.

Liliana’s approach values these multiple intelligences and harnesses the inquisitive nature of the student to promote language acquisition.
