Indiana Bones and Temple of Groom

I get compliments on my dog all the time! They always do an amazing job even though my dog is difficult and hates to be groomed.

I hate paying $ 73 to groom a 20 lbs dog and having to get the clippers out and fixing it when I get home. What’s the point? That is so annoying! Suffice to say I’m definitely not going back…

Long time customer for my two Bichons. To save you the long story we will not be returning.

Great cut by a great groomer! Was able to get same day appt. and my dog was ready in less than 2 hrs.

I have brought my pup here a couple of times and have never had any issues before. Today when I picked up my puppy he seemed happy as normal to see me and when we got home and I put him down he began walking funny. I examined him closely and realized he had two cuts to his skin that were bleeding.
I can understand if a mistake was made but I left the salon with no notice that he was hurt. Never coming back to this dog groomer.

Tried calling twice, left messages, and even sent an email through their website to make an appointment. Never heard back. I don’t understand how you stay in business if you don’t call customers back. Will move my business elsewhere.

This place is a joke, well one employee there that flat out refused to give me her name after I flipped out on her …
I walk my dog out that I have been bringing there for a year and look down and notice the leash and collar is the wrong one … As I ask for mine she looks at me like I am nuts, tells me I don’t know what your talking about that’s what came on him… Ummm no lady it is not. Considering the license on it is not even Dukes lmao… I look at the wall and his collar and leash are hanging up. I say that one is his can I have it. The rude lady got a shitty attitude and refused to talk to me personally, tells the other girl that’s not his.
Yes lady it is !!! She was a total bitch and rude and in the results it made me flip out. This place is way to unprofessional… Customer service and how to talk to customers is not what you will get here…

This lady brought the worst out in me with how rude and the I could care less attitude she had… Didn’t try to help me one time just called me a liar when I said it wasn’t him and showed her what one was

Awesome little place! No charge to clip our two little dog’s nails. Say what? That’s a deal. Definitely left a tip and will leave a bigger one next time. One of our dogs can be difficult, squirmy but no biting, and even he was good. The lady who helped us was very nice and talked very soothingly to the doggies. We will be back! Thank you so much.

A week later and I’m happy to report that my cat is super energetic and playful now thanks to her new matt-​free coat!

Zero Concept of Customer Service
We have been taking both of our dogs to Indiana Bones since 2013 and this weekend I decided to end that business relationship. One year ago we decided to spend 180 dollars to have both of our dogs teeth cleaned. We were told once we paid the 90 dollars per dog, future cleanings would be half of the price (45 per dog). This was sold to us as their «Maintenance Program.» No other information was communicated at this time.
We made our appointment for this past weekend and dropped off our dogs. Upon return to the store to pick up our dogs we were told the cost would be 180. I explained to the female behind the counter, this was not our first visit and I believed the cost should be half of what she was charging me. When asked how long it had been since the previous teeth cleaning and I told her I could not remember but believed it may have been 4 months prior, if not more.
I was told that it had been too long since the last cleaning and that the plaque build up was too much and we would have to pay the full amount. I asked what was the point of the «maintenance program» if the dogs have a large amount of plaque build up.
The lady told me, in order to comply with the terms of their «maintenance program» we were supposed to take in our dogs once a month. I don’t think there are humans that go to the dentist once a month!
This «provision» was never communicated to us before and to further discredit this bogus provision, why weren’t we told when we made the appointment weeks earlier or at least when we dropped off our dogs that we would have to pay the full price again.
Is it because they are making this up as they go along? I don’t know, but I would think as a small business owner, customer service is what would set you apart from the dozens of other pet grooming business in the area. They obviously didn’t feel the same at Indiana Bones since keeping a customer of over 2 years isn’t worth working with me to fix their bate and switch tactics.
Not that 180 dollars would break my bank account, but the simple fact the business failed to advise me of the increase in cost for the service and the lack of supplying me during the initial full payment of the provisions of their «Maintenance Program» so I can insure I will stay within compliance us what irritated me.
Indiana Bones… shame on you.

We love taking our dogs here. The staff always remember them, give great cuts and our dogs are always happy to return for another.

I’ve taken my Golden Retriever here twice now. Both times the staff was very friendly and they did a great job on my dog. He’s happy all the time but he definitely didn’t seem stressed at all after spending a few hours there. The price is very reasonable as well; I used to spend a good amount more at the groomer in LA. I definitely recommend this place.

They’re good… BUT THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. So, unfortunately, my dog is a hairy beast. Thanks, Indiana Bones.

What a shame. When I picked up my baby toy poodle I was told that he cut himself. that’s right HE cut himself. No the want a be groomer cut my baby’s eyelid (deep)
She then charged me for cutting him. Thanks for our wonderful Vet. He is healing peacefully at home. After making two phone calls, I received a call back from Diane and she again blamed the cut on my baby. This has to be the worst treatment of an animal I have ever seen. I you are looking for a groomer please beware. We will not be returning EVER.

Friendly staff! Most affordable place to have your dog (s) groomed! They have always done a great job on grooming my golden retriever, cocker spaniel mix and an occasional foster dog! (:

Our family has been using this groomer for years. They are friendly to us and we to them. They always follow our instructions. Our handsome dog is the best testimony of their care. He is totally cool with going to see them and doing the «things» they do. I trust his instincts on these matters. Seems he and we are most satisfied.

We took our dog here because of all the great reviews on Unilocal.We were a bit disappointed as the lady who greeted us was not friendly at all. The first thing she did when we walked in was take our dog away from us and put her in a cage. I guess we are used to the super nice and friendly treatment at The Dog House in Studio City.
Not sure why it takes 4 hours to groom the little dog, it used to only take 1.5 hours at our old place. She looks great and doesn’t seen to be too traumatized, so I think the lady who worked on her did a good job.

Don’t listen to the crazy cat lady. Indiana Bones rocks! I have been taking all of my pets here for 20 years. They are always happy and well taken care of and the prices are well below other groomers. Only negative is the location. Getting out of the parking lot is tough!

We took our dog to Indiana Bones & Temple of Groom for a summer haircut. He is an extremely well behaved medium-​sized shaggy dog. In the past we have taken him to Petco in Westlake Village without any incident. We should have continued going there. This was a huge mistake on our part.
When the dog got home, we noticed they had completely shaved his genitals. He was completely bald. With all other haircuts he has received this has never been done. He was extremely uncomfortable with licking the affected area. This dog has never had any type of skin irritation prior to this incident at Indiana Bones & Temple of Groom.
We returned to Indiana Bones & Temple of Groom today (4 – 23) to inquire why they did this. They told us it was normal for all dogs getting a haircut to get a «sanitary» cut. We have NEVER encountered this before! The dog was shaved with a what they called a 10-​blade. We asked for our money back because the dog now has a red irritating rash all over his genitals. They looked at us as if we were speaking a foreign language. The «manager» kept repeating the nonsense about a «sanitary» cut, and never once apologized or tried to make amends for what they did to our dog.
Number one: I want to know why the complete services of the grooming were not explained explicitly before the services were rendered. Number two: Why do they have such nonchalance toward causing the animal pain and suffering? Number three: Why was there no attempt in rectifying the situation? Finally: What happened to customer service and pleasing the customer?
This place should be shut down for the negligence with which they treat animals.
