Crossfit Thousand Oaks

Crossfit Thousand Oaks really has done wonders for me. I have been going from the beginning and now am excited to welcome the new ownership. It is such a wonderful facility where people encourage each other and there is no «cliqueness», like I have seen at other Crossfit gyms. The coaches know how to encourage you and motivate you. They always have great ideas for improvising movements if needed. There is such a wide range of people and abilities at CFTO that if you are looking to compete with someone similar to you, you can. or if you are just looking to learn and ease your way into it, you can do that too! It is such a great feeling to feel strong and confident. I was never able to achieve this at a regular gym. At CFTO, you come in and your workout is already planned and you just do it.

Quality training that is highly personalized based on your current condition. Positive group that is always there to motivate you through the toughest workout.

I first arrived at Crossfit Thousand Oaks with some trepidation. I knew I needed to lose weight and get back in shape but I was concerned that crossfit was going to be too competitive or I was going to feel out of place. But, one year later I have lost 30 lbs. and feel great. I feel great and I have made many friends along the way. The staff is superb. Everyone is super friendly. If you have ever thought about joining a gym that will give you results then give Crossfit T.O. a try.

This box has a great mix of family-​friendliness and competitiveness. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The coaches are very helpful and knowledgeable. This is a great place to get a good work out in, see results, and make some new friends!

Everyone is so nice and the workouts are hard but doable. I think this gym could definitely help with your weight loss goals. I love that every workout is different so you don’t get bored.

Great trainers that make you feel more like family than just another gym! They have great programming and so many classes to choose from. Try it a few times and you’ll be hooked. Not just any CrossFit gym, this box continues to take the members requests and make them part of the program. All the special events really make this place my home, from sushi dinners, to beach WODs, to park challenges making training fun and exciting.

Love this place! great energy, great people and you will get the best workout with guaranteed results. They welcome all levels and make you feel like you are part of the family from day 1. I was a member for almost two years but had to relocate. I have tried numerous crossfit gyms in my new location and nothing can compare to CFTO!

As a graduated xc and track runner, I’ve always been too shy to ask for help on how to properly exercise using any type of weight. I already had a gym membership but after hearing so much about Cross Fit at work, I decided to join CFTO to see what I could get out of it.
Honestly, once I went to a class, I was hooked. Although the price does seem steep, you pay for not only the specially made workouts, but also for professional knowledge from people who see your limitations almost immediately, and aim to help you improve with your comfort level in mind.
There are also some really awesome strength building classes that are offered such as Stretching with Sara which is a cool yoga hour. They have a designated doctor who only helps you grow stronger. I grew not only in strength here, but also as a person. I loved working out here because EVERYONE, not just the coaches, will motivate you to be bigger, better, faster, and stronger, and with that, I was able to experience so many different types of workouts and achieve such great results.
Now I’m away at school, but as I walk into the rec center, I can’t help but smile/​cry/​cringe whenever I see the same weight balls I used for wall balls/​double wall balls at CFTO. The workouts aren’t easy but each one is so rewarding. I wish I could bring Coach Dan, Coach Tony, and everyone else to work out with me here!!!

My wife started going and I reluctantly followed and thought I would try a few workouts, I thought that this was a fad that would pass and I was worried that my 50+ year old body and the requirements of work would not allow this crossfit thing to get too far.
Crazy error on my part, been going for over a year, mobility and strength have improved dramatically and I love the intensity of the work outs. People and environment are great if you like working out with people who are serious about their fitness and an environment that is positive and fun.

It’s no secret that I have a healthy addiction to working out. I’ve tried everything at least four times and there are very few things that I will keep my interest to continue doing it.
CrossFit Thousand Oaks was a bit intimidating for me to try out. At my college the only people that I knew that did CrossFit was our nationally acclaimed rugby team. I remember their shirts had the CrossFit logo with a clown lifting weights and puking at the same time. Really not my idea of a good time.
For date night I decided that we into the T.O. location for their complimentary introductory class. Dan was very informative and welcoming. I felt comfortable from the get go.
After that night I decided to try it out for 2 weeks and I have surprised myself with how strong I’ve become. I never saw myself doing pull ups or working with a lifting bar (with actual weights on it!). Somehow, the coaches there motivate you without yelling. They correct you to make sure you don’t strain yourself and they really take the time to sit and talk about your fitness goals.
One of their mottos is that they do not want anyone there that doesn’t want to be there. As someone that took almost 1 year of not going to her previous gym before I had the courage to «dump» them, I appreciated that. Adding on, all the other clients are friendly and supportive during workouts.
They have a nice variety of times offered and a nice clean facility with ample parking. Definitely check it out and see if they can push you to your limit as well. I certainly appreciate it… even when it is 6am in the morning pre-​coffee.
