Shipley Do-Nuts

I love Shipley’s, but this location is not my favorite. I stopped by mid-​day and got some donuts that were obviously made that morning. The only problem is, I like my donuts really, really fresh. For that reason, I’m a fan of the Shipley’s on Rankin. They make their glazed donuts throughout the day. I’ve gotten hot donuts there mid-​day, at night, and the morning.

Closest thing to California «pink box» donuts I’ve been able to find with familiar, delicious flavors that are consistently fresh and in stock. Favorites are the donut holes, maple iced, strawberry iced and the chocolate glazed. Location is easy to get to and staff is friendly. Quick in and out for great donuts that don’t cost a fortune.

Donuts are okay, drive thru convenient but only if you know what to buy. Service was by a teenage robot. Some of the donuts are cake-​like and some are fried? I’m not sure, the service was terrible with little information and I had to ask a million questions since the donuts had different prices.

Pretty good donuts but the kolaches are the real star. Service isn’t great and lines can get long quick! Not a great donut shop but they are the only game in town!

This is your basic community donut shop. It’s where kids and families bike down to grab a donut. Where people come and get donuts for their workplace or after church or or just to bring home for their families. Fancy and fluffy it’s not. But, it does a great job at what it strives to do. Which is to provide good donuts at a fair price. The drive up is quick and efficient and the morning gals working there are courteous and fast. If you want a fluffy over priced pastries go to Gi GI cupcakes. If you want a good donut — come here. And bring the kids on your bike and make some memories.
