Good. All most 5 stars. Pricy for a family night out. 85 $ for 4 with no booze. But sushi was good and owner is very nice

You can tell the authenticity of the food by the curry. Growing up in a Japanese city during my youth curry was very common. Sapporo has authentic curries on the menu, almost as good as the Curry House! Experience the true flavor by asking for the Chicken Cutlet Curry. Top it off with radish and rice, fresh sashimi, an unagi hand roll, and the house brew. You’ll be craving to come back…

The shrimp and vegetable bento box is great and the price cannot be beat. My wife and I shared one and they graciously split it into two separate boxes for us. We also tried their sushi and it was very good as well. We have also eaten at their other location on Research Forest near Gosling.

So here’s how my service from here went, They barely paid attention to us, probably because we were the only ones sitting at a table when everyone else was at a booth, but still. Then they forgot to give one of our orders so when we were already full and tired of waiting for our unagi don, we asked to cancel it. But our waitress said straight up said no you can’t and then she goes and grabs the order by the sushi bar where not one waitress saw. So the food was completely cold at this point and we complained about it, so our waitress goes on and asks us very bluntly if we wanted it to be microwaved! At this point I’m very appalled and she goes and gets the manager. But as I start explaining the situation, the manager quickly cuts me off and just says that they will cancel it. So overall, everyone was very rude and slow. I would not come back to this restaurant let alone recommend this place to anyone

Just moved to the area. Have tried several sushi restaurants and was very disappointed. Read the reviews before coming here but still didn’t get too excited. Well it was delicious! Have only done takeout but they package everything so well and with such great presentation, doesn’t matter what time you order. Great quality and delicious taste. Highly recommend. Friendly staff.

Amazing sushi rolls. Try pink lady and bobby. The rolls are huge so don’t order as many as you normally do. The service is great and super quick. Every time we come they recognize us and know our order.

Zero stars is not an option? Seriously wondering how many of the five star reviews were fake. The only logical alternative is that many locals are exceedingly challenged at pinpointing how quality sushi looks; let alone tastes. The alleged ‘Itamae’(sushi cooks) were very young & spent most of the time staring at attractive guests or the TV above the bar area. — Sticky rice was not used; causing rolls to easily break. — Rolls were drenched in sauce & fish was minced to hide poor cuts. — ‘Spicy’ options were bland; unless profuse amounts of wasabi were added. Additionally: Waiter was creepy & general staff service throughout was poor. I would recommend ANY other Woodlands sushi location over this one. Sadly, HEB sushi is superior in every possible way; for half the price.

After being a patron of another Japanese restaurant in the area for a long time I can whole-heartedly say this is an all around amazing restaurant. The dining hall is clean and feels very authentic with the seating in the back that makes you feel like you’re sitting on the floor. They have a wide selection of sushi and other Japanese style cuisine that is really great for all people that have different tastes in food. There’s something for everyone. As I am not 21 yet for another month I’m very excited to test out some of their cocktails and wine collection. The service is great and I can tell they all work very hard to make a great experience. Love this place and highly recommend it!

We just had some of the best sushi we’ve had in years. A good friend of ours, Chef Austin Simmons, turned us on to Sapporo. We asked chef Henri to feed us. Wow. Jellyfish, three grades of sushi, Japanese mackerel, scallops… All fabulous ! What an experience. A new pilgrimage spot.

I’m giving this review three stars at this point and that’s mainly for the fresh and interesting décor. Went to eat sushi but decided not to order as rolls(and bento) were overpriced. Since we were there we decided to just order the crab puff appetizer. Five puffs for $ 6.50 — not bad and they tasted fine. Only problem was they were tiny in size. Had the portion been larger I would have had no problem with the price. As I mentioned earlier the décor is nice but the piped in music was really loud and having Stevie Nicks screech in my ears kind of ruined the mood. Maybe with more patrons filling the space the sound level would have been acceptable. Wait staff was attentive and courteous. I would be willing to come back and try a bento box or sushi so that I could give a fair review about the quality of the items offered, but I know I’ll have to «drop some coin»(as a previous reviewer mentioned).

I’m really happy to have Sapporo on this side of town. The restaurant is beautiful, elegantly decorated, and with a peaceful atmosphere. There are even some traditional Japanese tables you can sit at if you want. It’s a wonderful date spot. Although I’m sure you’d still be welcome, I would not recommend shorts and t-shirt here; you’ll feel out of place. I can’t help but to compare Sapporo with Fukuda, given that Fukuda is my usual haunt for Japanese food and sushi. I have to say that Fukuda still has the edge; they’ve got a certain something that Sapporo doesn’t quite have, but they’re definitely within shouting distance, and this could be quite the competition over time. The sushi is better than the regular menu. No complaints at all. Excellent rice, good cuts of very fresh fish, and creative rolls if that’s your style. On the regular menu, I’ve stuck to bento boxes. The tonkatsu was perfect, light and crispy spring roll, excellent crab puff. It even came with a few pieces of a sushi roll, and that’s why I tried the sushi menu the next time. That was the best part of the box! The salad needs improvement, though. Nearly frozen iceberg lettuce dressed with what seemed like a ginger purée rather than a salad dressing. Doesn’t work for me. Luckily, the miso soup makes up for the salad’s shortcomings. I’d like to try something else off the menu besides bento to really give the kitchen a test, but now we get to Sapporo’s greatest weakness: price. Be prepared to drop some coin here. I can’t justify paying for anything more than a bento on a casual visit, but next time I’m celebrating something, it’s on! Service has been fast, attentive, and polite on every visit. Although they’ve only been open a few weeks, Sapporo already runs like a well-tuned machine.

Went here last Saturday for lunch to celebrate Fathers Day. We had quite possibly the best service in the woodlands. My drink never went below half way before a refill was placed right beside it. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was better than most comparable meals we’ve experienced locally as everything seemed fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The sushi roll, however was exceptionally wet. I mean literally it sat in a puddle of soy sauce and water. It was tasty, but I had to drain it before dipping it in my wasabi and soy sauce mixture. A bit unappealing. We’ll try it again

The family and I live really close to Sapporro and are glad we do. We used to be regulars at Sakekawa but have noticed that the quality and service had been going downhill — so happy that Sapporro is now open! Their sushi is very fresh and they have a wide variety of market choices. My wife and I enjoy sitting at the bar and talking to the sushi chefs. Prices are reasonable for the area as well :)

The food was good when we got it. I never brought my salad and soup. My wife received her meal at least 10 minutes prior to mine. I am waiting now to see if the manager makes any kind of financial adjustments Waiting waiting… They gave us a lousy $ 2.50 off the meal. Not to worry. We will not be back The waitress made excuses. I love this place so much! I come here very often because I work in this shopping center. It’s nice to have a place so close that has great prices but also has outstanding food and service. Every roll I’ve had has been very fresh and the lunch bento box is very generous portion wise. Their fried rice and ramen are also great! I have yet to go to the bar but I look forward to checking it out!
