Soft Touch Moving & Packing

Besides the fact that the movers showed up late reeking of smoke, I just had the worst phone call with the owner of the company, Scott. I called to dispute the fact that they took 1.75 hours longer than I was told it would take and wanted a retribution of some type of reimbursement. While I spoke with Scott, he made it seem that he would be going above and beyond by sending me a check for a LAMP THAT HIS MOVERS BROKE, he accused me of being a drunk and incoherent and being a bad mother, and told me that the fact that his movers were making personal texts and phone calls during my move was completely acceptable. I am shaking as I write this because I am absolutely appalled that he says his movers told him that I was drinking and inebriated when I do not drink any alcohol. The way that I was just spoken to on the phone by the owner of a company is absolutely unacceptable and I will be taking any and all necessary steps to remedy this situation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I hired Mike and Mike to help me move very last minute.
They were both very nice and friendly. They put blankets on everything, wrapped it all in shrink wrap and put in the truck all in no time.
I had bought a group and wanted it done within two hours and I am writing this review with 21 minutes to spare.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for help moving rather it’s a large project or a small one.

We found soft touch moving on a web search and decided to take a chance. We didn’t have a huge budget to work with, but we knew moving ourselves would be too much of a challenge without professionals. Soft touch moving was on time, efficient, friendly, and very fairly priced. We planned our move weeks in advance and were very organized, we had the pros take care of the big items. Everything was wrapped and protected, meticulously taken care of to prevent any damage. We are in our new home tonight and are thrilled that we chose soft touch moving and invested the money in making our move much smoother. Thank you!!!

I used their service again after a year. Their moving service is still good. But this time they spent ~1 hour more compared to last year for the same amount of furniture because (Scot was the guy who helped me last year — He has much more experience!) inexperience with de-​assembly of my furniture. But i am glad that they figured it out at last and took well care of my furniture.

We confirmed two days before our moving (7:30 am) but they didn’t show up without any notice. No reply to emails and calls. We end up finding another mover and finished moving 5:00 pm. I saw another review with the same experience. My guess is they just drop our appointment for higher $ moving.

We hired Scott and his crew from Soft Touch and they were amazing. They showed up just ahead of schedual and even finished early. Everything was padded and wrapped nice and neat. I would deffinately have them move me again.

I guess it’s luck of the draw. From the other reviews, I think I would have had a great experience if they had shown up.
I purchased a Groupon (2 hours, 2 movers) to help unload my rented moving truck. The woman I spoke to was very courteous and we set an appointment for 8:00 this morning. At 8:15 am I called and left a message asking for an update. And again at 9, and at 10. I still haven’t received a call back, 7 hours later. I’ve called probably 10 times today, so I’m not sure if they’re not doing business for anyone or if they’re selectively avoiding my phone calls.
So I called another moving company, A to Z Valley Wide Movers. They were wonderfully accommodating and did a great job on such short notice, preventing a total moving meltdown from yours truly. Highly recommend them.

I scheduled a move for yesterday, ³⁄₂₉ at 11am.
I waited 30 minutes and then called. I spoke with Lisa on their main line [(480) 584‑0865]. When I spoke with Lisa, she told me the team of movers were still on another assignment. Later at 12noon, I received a call from Scott, saying that their previous assignment has been pro-​longed in North Scottsdale (only 15 minutes away from Tempe). Scott informed me that it would not be until about 4pm before they could get to where I was, to unload my truck into a storage unit at (810 S McClintock).
At 4pm, I called the main line 4 times, called the number that Scott had last called me from (602)-422−6409 and no answer. The last number that Scott called me from, has a voicemail greeting for Lisa. I called the 602 number 4 times. In all, I left 3 voicemails and no update or response whatsoever from this company.
I ended up having to hire another company at the last minute and Soft Touch has my money without ever lifting a finger. This is uncalled for and they are liars.

These guys were the best moving service I have ever used! Not only were they price efficient, but they also produce high quality work! Everything was moved without a scratch in a shorter amount of time then I anticipated! My wife was concerned about hidden fees. They didn’t have any! She was also concerned that the guys who came would be small wimpy guys, but the guys with Soft Touch were huge! Thanks guys!

I was needing to move quick and pricing is always a concern. I looked up on groupon and found soft touch. You never know if there are hidden costs with a discount. From the minute I called and scheduled to the last box was dropped everyone was professional, kind and clean. No hidden cost or extra fees added and they worked without a break. I had a lot of heavy items and odd shaped furniture into a a 2^nd floor. They wrapped everything including stair rails and door jams to ensure no bumps, bruises or unwanted scratches. It was impressive to watch and I didn’t wince or have to bark orders once. I will use them again.

We used soft touch moving for packing the uhaul we rented. The guys were great. Somehow they managed to fit everything in the truck with no issues. They took great care to wrap and pack all of our belongings. We had a different company unload due to soft touch not being available and they were even impressed with the packing job they did. Would use them again.

We hired Soft Touch to move from a three bedroom condo to a two bedroom condo nearby. They showed up when they said they would, and helped us empty out a storage unit too. We weren’t charged an arm and a leg for materials, which is where I hemorrhaged money last time I had to do this with another company. The move was completed in four hours, and they billed us accordingly. The overall price was extremely reasonable, and we were so happy to be settled into our new home without worrying about a huge moving bill.
I was also one of those horrid customers who had to do this at the last minute. They fit me in, no problem. Huge weight off my shoulder.
We were moved about two weeks ago from this date. I waited to write the review until most of our boxes were unpacked. Everything survived completely intact, and I do mean everything. I am seriously impressed!
They were great too, with our weirdly shaped furniture, huge extra deep mattress, and the nonsensical layout of the new condo. Let me explain. The master bedroom is upstairs next to a loft, up a narrow flight of stairs. There’s no landing, and stairs on the inside of the room too. Watching them get that mattress and a huge solid French provincial long dresser up there and then in the bedroom was pretty impressive. They didn’t damage the furniture or the house, and did some weird lifting maneuver to get my stupidly big bed and stupidly heavy dresser in that little narrow bedroom door.
We’d definitely hire them again, and recommend them to our friends and family. Plus, the owner was one of the movers we hired. Call me a hippie or bleeding heart, but I definitely prefer to support small local businesses with owners who are invested, firsthand, in what they’re doing.
Overall, very satisfied. Nice to have peace of mind during such upheaval.

We hired Soft Touch to move all our stuff about two miles away from our current location. From the initial contact, the estimate process, the call before arrival, arrived on time, the packing, transportation, and unpacking, was all done very professionally and quickly. They provided us with moving boxes at a discounted rate. On the moving day, garment boxes were provided for our use. Furniture were padded and shrink wrapped. Bed frames and furniture were broken down and setup. Mattress were bagged. All for a two mile move. They asked directions for the placement of items and boxes; provided valid suggestions as well. We were very pleased with Soft Touch’s performance. Thanks Scott and Team! Dale.

They called ahead for pickup and delivery and were professional every bit of the way!

I used Soft Touch moving to help move my 2 bed 2 bath to a storage unit. There were 2 movers to move my things. They showed up right on time and were hardworking from start to finish. They used shrink wrap on all my furniture and were very careful with all of my things. I will surely use them again when I am ready to move my things from storage!

I had bought a Groupon to use Soft Touch Moving Co. for my move in August of 2014. I did research the company and looked at reviews. I also called the company and asked numerous questions on service and fees. The men showed up and were very negative when they arrived. We needed them just for a few pieces of furniture. The one piece that they argued about how it would need to be moved we have moved three times. Once in the valley and twice from AZ to NY and back without issue. We have never had to take it apart and they (the owner Scott and his employee) argued and were very impolite and disrespectful. We did not know nor were we advised until we called the office to make a formal complaint that this was the owner of the company. My husband and I own a business and strive for the best customer service. This is important to us and to be so negative and condescending and to argue about how the customer would like something done is bad business. They then tried to charge us for a mileage fee because they said we were out of there travel range. This is a question I asked there receptionist Lisa when I contacted them prior to purchasing there services and was advised that my zip code there would be no extra fees as we fell into their service zone. Ultimately the men left yelling obscenities. We were so taken back and felt that it was necessary to right reviews where we could to advise anyone else that this company is not one you should work with if you want respect and to have your property moved in the manor you chose. Please be aware of what services you purchase. We would highly recommend NOT using this company!!!

I purchased a Groupon and used Soft Touch Moving to move from Phoenix to Scottsdale this weekend. Two movers showed up at 8:00am sharp and were ready to rock! I rented a UHaul, they brought everything else. They wrapped furniture with pads and plastic wrap. They took lots of care with the items, asked where I wanted things placed in the new home. They worked really hard and were completely professional and super friendly. It took roughly 4 hours to move a ²⁄₂ about 10 miles away. I will use this company again in a heartbeat and would recommend this company to anyone!

I am moving to another state and I found Soft Touch Moving on Groupon. Great deal, $ 70 for two guys and two hours. The two men loaded my two bedroom apartment in an hour and a half. They both did a fantastic job making sure everything was wrapped up well so there would be no scratches on my furniture. They took the time to rope everything together and cover up as much as they could with blankets. Very professional and nice, I would definitely use them again if I ever move back.
