Dr. Gio Venittelli, Dr. Katie Dugan and their team (Denise, Sheila, Krystle, Kelly, and Paula) at Temecula Creek Optometry are conveniently located in South Temecula on Temecula Parkway. Temecula Creek Optometry offers full-​service family eye care and has convenient hours including evenings and Saturdays. Walk-​ins are always welcome. The friendly office emphasizes the highest level of customer service, and several team members speak Spanish (se habla Espanol).

There are frames and lenses for every budget — from $ 79.00 frame and lens packages to designer frames and the latest technology lenses. Dr. Venittelli and his staff will customize an individual treatment plan for each patient to make sure the patient understands each option available in glasses design, contact lenses, medical or surgical options.

We also provide FREE pre-​screening and referrals for LASIK vision correction.

Dr. Gio Venittelli.

Business Owner

Dr. Gio Venittelli, optometrist, relocated to Temecula in 2004. Gio and family moved from Orange County. He has 30 years of experience in the eye care industry.

Dr. Venittelli grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota and attended the University Minnesota for his undergraduate work. He received his doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton. He graduated Summa Cum Laude.

For seventeen years, Dr. Venittelli practiced Optometry at a large medical group of 75 physicians in Long Beach, California. He yearned to leave corporate health care and to have a practice of his own in an area with a small-​town feel. Temecula offered the perfect opportunity.

Dr. Gio, his wife, and 2 daughters love Temecula. They live in Country Road Estates. Mary, his wife, teaches at Chaparral High School. Dr. Gio enjoys playing softball, playing piano, cycling, skiing, tennis, and country walks with his wife and dog.

Dr. Katie Dugan and Temecula Creek Optometry has been our family Optometrist since 2009. This year in a routine check up Dr. Dugan discovered I had cataracts and recommend surgery to replace lenses in both eyes. My vision is now 20⁄15 and have the eyes of an eagle. I really appreciate the care I received from Dr. Dugan and Temecula Creek Optometry.

dr v is very informational. learned that i had astigmatism when my previous optometrists never really mentioned it to me. the free baseline exam they offer on your 1st visit which snapshots the inner vessels of your eye is very interesting & is a good way to see how healthy your eye is. im happy to know they do that for 1st time customers. all the staff were really helpful and kind. everyone took the time to answer all my questions. literally about everything. i recommend it here.

Such great service here. Dr. Katie Dugan is awesome and extremely knowledgeable. She takes the time to sit down with you and explain in detail your symptoms and best ways to correct them. If your looking for an optometrist don’t look any further.

My children and I go to Temecula Creek Optometry for our eye care. Not only is the actual office comfortable, friendly and conveniently located, but both Dr. Dugan and Dr. Venitelli are wonderful optometrists. They are friendly, knowledgable, and responsive to questions and needs. My kids absolutely love them! Dr. Dugan has a tremendous track record of helping kids with vision related learning disorders who now are excelling in school rather than struggling.
The office staff are top notch, and I cannot provide a higher recommendation. You need to check it out!

Great experience with Dr. Dugan and her staff. I haven’t had my eyes checked in 20 years and decided to try this Unilocal highly rated business. They not only did the standard eye test and the glaucoma test, but took images of the inside of my eyes. I left feeling better about my eye condition and I did not feel any selling pressure to buy their products, which is what I feared would happen. Dr. Dugan is really pleasant and professional and she took the time to explain what the tests and pictures indicated. The whole process was less than 45 minutes for a very fair price. I highly recommend this place.

Making and meeting appointment time was easy and MY time was respected by not having to wait to see Dr. Katie. New patient paperwork was fast and prep/​exam was through and comfortable.
Customer Service:
The staff was warm, friendly, and felt like family. I really love that safe and friendly feeling when you’re vulnerable at any doctors office. Was asked a couple times of I needed help while browsing frames. Offered a magazine and coffee or tea while being walked to lobby.
Frame style selection:
Whoa. Probably the most impressive selection of designer and more affordable frames in Temecula! You can really tell they hand pick something for even the most vibrant of styles you’re looking for. Plastic, rimless, metal, and wooden frames. so cool.

Dr. Katie is by far the most genuine optometrist I’ve EVER EVER EVER met. She was thorough with my exam and took the time to answer all my questions, even reiterating that my eye balls were healthy! Though my prescription changed a bit and it made me a little sad, Dr. Katie reminded me how she’s ordered cool glasses and it did cheer me up. Things like that make me happy to give office my visit.
Vibe: Any place can run an exam, make an appointment, offer glasses and maintain a clean office with soft rock playing in the back while offering mints to its patience. But this place deserves 5 stars and a real review. They went above and beyond. The staff rocks. The selection is stellar. The awesome Dr. Katie is just the cherry on top. I observed the sweet and gentle way they helped a few kids pick out glasses and it instantly convinced me to parallel my experience with this review.

The service is outstanding. The doctor instills confidence. The associates are helpful in selecting frames. Everyone is very friendly. I broke a pair of glasses that I purchased from them about 11 months earlier. I took them to the shop expecting to pay for a replacement frame. They volunteered to replace the frames under the warranty even though the damage was my fault. What a pleasant surprise. They work hard to achieve customer satisfaction and they are successful in that regard. I recommend this place for exams and eye wear.

I saw Dr. Katy Dugan in the Fall of 2014 and my experience was very pleasant. I had not met Dr. Dugan prior, but had heard great things. I was told the «B» word (bifocals)! I went from no need for eye glasses to needing both near and far corrective lenses. I swear it was my darn iPhone! I was starting to squint, but now I see great.
I ran into her at a Christmas event and she checked in to make sure everything was progressing well.
I really recommend Dr. Dugan for all of your eye care needs.

Although I’ve never had a bad experience at an optometrist appointment, I have to say that hands down: this was my very best experience to date. I am so glad I found them (thanks to Google) and will continue to use them for as long as I live in Temecula.
Starting with my phone call, the staff was very kind and personable. I got an appointment immediately: which may have been luck’s chance, but either way it definitely made me happy. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a genuinely kind staff: all of which (at least for that day) were lovely, passionate ladies. My glasses/​contacts exam was quick and easy, yet very thorough. Any concerns I had were addressed and everything was explained perfectly well in the case that I may be one of the «typical» patients who really has no idea about optometry lingo.
I have a very petite frame and face. For this reason, I actually had not purchased new glasses since 2007. I could never find any that I liked, and therefore figured «why waste the money when I usually wear my contacts anyways?» However, one of the staff members assisted me with finding glasses: beyond any normal expectations. We probably tried on almost every single pair of designer frames. She gave honest opinions, we made piles of ones we liked, narrowed them down, etc. It was the finest of customer service: not only because the time she gave me, but also because she genuinely cared… not because it was her job, but because it was her passion. When we were finished, not only did I find a pair of glasses that I love… but I was happy they even had a pair I liked! Which, on that note, there ended up being a handful of pairs I loved that made it very difficult for me to narrow down. I never expected, by any means, to find myself in that situation.
As mentioned before, I would recommend their offices and services in a heartbeat. I hope this was helpful in your search for a local optometrist!

I had my first visit today and I was impressed. The equipment is state of the art, the staff is very nice and helpful and the doctor is great. The location is convenient (easy parking). They also have an impressive selection of different designer frames and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely be going back.
