Incredible place. It’s small and authentic. Food is fabulous! Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. Highly recommend trying this place so good!

I came here last year when I was in the area for a wine tasting tour. I had planned the day out and knew we would need sustenance after an afternoon of drinks. Few things sound better than Mexican food when you have a good buzz! The restaurant had a great vibe and was bright. There was a patio to eat outside as well. The bathrooms were also clean. The food… POZOLE! I had a hankering for some pozole and boy… it did not disappoint. Super yummy! I ate it all! Good portion for a good price. The chips were also tasty and fresh. If I’m ever in the area again, I will be sure to stop by.

Best Mexican«taco shop» style I have ever had. I’m Mexican and from San Diego and I can’t even get the quality food I get from here in San Diego. The meat is so tender and flavorful. The tortillas are delicious. Yes it’s pricier than your average taco shop but it’s so worth it. The staff is always friendly and quick and the food is always delicious. Every ingredient you could tell is at a higher standard. From the guac to the salsa and tortillas. They don’t skimp on cheaper products. I love this place I have to make myself stay away or else I would eat here everyday. **favorite items include: California Burrito(made how it is supposed to be). Mulitas Carne asada burrito Quesaburrito Quesataco I don’t eat seafood but I hear good things about the steak and shrimp burrito

For the love of tacos, burritos, homemade salsa and fresh tortillas, Aztek is still knocking the balls off the Temecula taco shop scene. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s nice to see them continue to grow in size and popularity. The food is not just good, it’s great. You can find the same great food and service you’ve come to expect every time you visit. To me, consistency is everything. Ok, so what you’ve heard is absolutely true. Aztek has the best salsa in town! Hands down, no contest, it’s the killer salsa from outer space! You can put this salsa on just about anything(not that) and the food instantly gets better. Luckily, the food is already awesome, so your mouth wins twice! The tacos de lengua, asada, and the Aztek are my go-to standards. Each taco is double wrapped in a fresh homemade corn tortillas, it’s a difference you can taste. But when I’m feeling frisky, I step it up to the Surf n Turf Burrito aka Steak and Shrimp. You just can’t go wrong wrapping up two of the worlds most popular proteins in a fresh flour tortilla. If you’re not into tacos and burritos, you’re in luck because everything on the menu kicks ass. The rolled tacos are meatier than most, and their carne asada tortas are made with love. The chile rellenos remind me of home and the weekend only menudo is always hot, fresh, and ready to cure your hangover. The best part is, they now have a variety of ice cold beer on tap and several more TV’s to watch in their expanded seating area. Definitely my favorite place to grab some tacos and drink some beer. The prices are a bit higher than other shops, but you’re paying for quality you can taste.

This joint is top notch! Asada and shrimp burrito, quesotaco with pastor and queso with chorizo all amazing. The quesotacos were insane! The tacos were awesome. The burrito was stuffed, and not with rice. Queso was delicious. Great atmosphere and service. They have a bar in the back. I’m not from Temecula. I’m used to Santa Ana taco shops. This place was Legit. Super legit.

Best Mexican food you can get in Temecula. After a consistent amount of visits, I have concluded that it’s the best. Despite the long lines, it’s definitely worth it! My family usually gets Carne Asada fries, a California burrito, and its as yummy as usual! The service is great and the waiters are friendly. One time we ordered as usual, Carne Asada fries, and it was burnt to the extreme… We called and informed them & the manager offered us a free one to make it up! If you stop by Temecula, this is a must.

So far its the best place for mexican food in temecula/murrieta. I’ve tried 6 or 7 mexican restaurants and taco shops and I’ve been disappointed by all of them. This place Aztec tacos the salsas are VERY good had there asada and shrimp taco and there quesataco alpastor and both wete delish. Corn tortillas are hand made there place is small but thus far its consistent. Will definitely try again. Ohh and they sell beer and have flat screens with sports channels on.

When do you leave a 15% tip at a fast food restaurant? When the employees are jammin’ during a lunch rush! There was a craving for Aztek for lunch today so I went in to order to go. The line was long like usual and many people had phoned in orders ahead and were picking up. It was a constant stream of customers ordering at both registers and people either paying for phone orders or picking up. The men and women who work here kept the pace! That deserves some tipping, man! Ordered a regular carne asada burrito for my wife and another with refried beans added for me, plus two drinks and a small bag of tortilla chips, which the make fresh. When I got home with my plastic cups of salsa from the salsa bar I was one happy guy, mowing down every last bite of burrito, dipping chips in salsa and washing it all down with bubbly soda. After I was down to the last bite I was totally stuffed and yet, foolishly craving more. This is the way I feel about the food here, every time I eat here or take it home. My #1 choice for Mexican food in all of Temecula.

I’ve come here countless of times and love this joint! My only downfall is that they’re pretty pricey for Mexican food . My regular: I usually get the Lengua Burrito with a side of their house sauce. It’s pretty a simple burrito but it’s delicious ! Onions, cilantro and lengua. My husband usually gets the steak surf and turf burrito and whenever I get a bite of it, it never seems to disappoint! Definitely a must try, just be prepared to pay a little more money for your average Mexican food

Their tacos are good, the meat has some good flavor so it’s not just your regular taco. The burritos on the other hand, for how much you pay for it it’s not worth it. Also prefer to call in your orders than ordering at the spot, they take awhile to make your food.

SOYUMMY! My boyfriend had to make a delivery for work and I went with him. Since we were in the area, we asked the client a good place to check out. He recommended Aztek Tacos, which was perfect because I was craving Mexican food. The place is really big, two seperate rooms. I figured since we arrived at an off time(around 4:40pm) that it would be super dead inside, but it was really busy. There was a small line with about 3 people in front of us which worked out nicely since I had no idea what to order. I finally decided on the salmon tacos, shrimp tacos and fried fish(tilipia) taco with a side of rice and beans. I ordered that, plus a drink and it came with chips for about $ 20, not too bad because it was A LOT of food! The salmon taco was seriously amazing. Super fresh, moist and flavorful. Also a HUGE piece of fish. The shrimp tacos were equally as delicious, also very flavorful! The fried fish taco was eh. I wasn’t a huge fan, and wish I ordered another salmon or shrimp. I’m glad I saved that one to try last because I just picked around it. The rice was so good and the beans were too! They even have the nice coca cola machine where you can mix all your flavors. I love that! Lots of salsas ranging from 1 – 6 in spiciness. My boyfriend got the quesatacos. Wow – talk about«healthy» but honestly worth trying! It’s fried cheese and inside it’s stuffed with all your taco fixings. A tortilla is wrapped around that. Very unique and a must order!

Maybe my friends hyped it up and it made my expectations super high but I am only giving them a 3-star(A-OK) rating. I think their prices are a little high(we are in Temecula afterall) — I paid almost $ 9 for 3 tacos. My friends said it’s like Tacos El Gordo but I felt like the amount of food and the quality of the meats weren’t even close! I like that they give you a basket of chips when you eat in-store and the salsa bar is not bad. I also think that the service is a little slow– the line to order took a really long time. Maybe I’ll come back and give them another shot?

Back again over a year later and just as good as we remember! Their queso burrito is one of those epic meals that you will think and talk about forever, it’s really worth the drive here no matter where you are coming from! They have expanded and rented the space next door, opened the walls and is twice as big but still just as full. We all the the queso burritos and stocked up at their fantastic salsa bar and had the meals of our lives, you just can’t beat the crunchy cheese layer, one of these will fill you for the rest of the day and the next day as well, it’s insane. EPIC!

This place was our second breakfast stop after going to the golden bowl down the street. We needed to get the taste out of our mouths. This place promised good food. The place looks clean. Again I had to check the restroom and I can say atleast the ladies restroom is very clean. My sister ordered tacos and I ordered the flautas plate with guac and lettuce. It was very good. The salsa bar has good selectiom and we wanted for nothing in terms of salsa and taco toppings. They have the drink fountain with infinite possibilities. Since I was still scared that the Golden Bowls food I did consume was going to wreak havok on my stomach, I opted for lemonade. Second drink was ginger ale, all zero calorie options. If I return hungry to Temecula, I will now know I have a safe haven in Aztec Taco.

My hubby found this place yesterday by Unilocaling tacos. With so many good reviews, we decided to try it out. We were glad we did! One thing that makes me like a taco shop is the salsa, and I especially appreciate one with a salsa bar. This one had a great salsa bar and the mild and hot salsas were both really good. I got a combo with on chicken quesataco, and my hubby got a two taco plate with one chicken and one beef. We were both impressed with the quality of the chicken used — finely diced white meat chicken. I didn’t know what to expect with the quesataco, but it is basically a taco with a crispy cheese taco shell, placed on a corn tortilla. I think I would opt for a regular taco next time. The rice and beans were good too. We’ll keep this place in mind for our next trip that direction!

Clean restaurant, nice servers, free chips, and free(amazing) salsa. :) The salsa bar is very good and has quite a variety of salsas too. They also make their tortillas from scratch and fresh. :) The wait gets pretty long though… I came here on a Sunday at 5pm, and the wait was about an hour. Everyone was working super hard to get the orders in though, which I appreciated. If you come here, you have to try their Aztek Tacos. I mean, it’s their namesake. The Aztec Taco comes with all the normal fixings of a regular taco, plus cactus(which is also their logo). I never tried cactus before, and it tastes sorta like a green bell pepper with some tartness. It was really good! And I would give this taco 5 stars: D I also tried their carne asada fries, which were just average. Fries, sour cream, guac, cheese. And their al pastor taco, which was also just average. I would definitely return though for their Aztec Taco, and their free chips/salsa bar!
